MARBLE ROCK -- Roy A. Schrage, 85, of Marble Rock, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near his home; services 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Greene; visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, (515) 823-4457; memorials to the family.

FREDERICKSBURG -- Ralph M. WATERLOO -- Myrle Lowe Norris, 75, formerly of 225 W. WATERLOO -- Helen McNamee Coates, 91, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Rosewood Estates from complications of a stroke; services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery; visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott and Wood Family Funeral Care, 232-3235, where there will be an Eastern Star public memorial service at 7 p.m.; visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church; memorials to the Helen McNamee Coates Scholarship Fund at the Allen School of Nursing.

WATERLOO -- Deloris I. Bruggeman, 85, of 1234 Prospect Blvd., died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at her home of congestive heart failure; services 2 p.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery; Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher on Kimball, 233-3146, is in charge of arrangements.

WATERLOO -- Fred K. Amundson, 80, of Waterloo, died today, Oct. 6, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes; services tentatively set for 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery; visitation Sunday afternoon at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, 234-6274.

ALLISON –- Connie Aissen, 55, of Allison, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at her home of natural causes; services pending with Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Allison, (319) 267-2507.

ELMA -- Dorothy E. Reynolds, 86, of Elma, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Afton Oaks Assisted Living, Elma, of natural causes; memorial services 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Elma, with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery, Cresco; visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the church; Conway Funeral Home, Elma, (641) 393-2461, is in charge of arrangements.

DENVER -- Verona L. Hennings, 83, of Denver, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at the Denver Sunset Home of natural causes; services 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery; visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, (319) 984-5379, and for an hour before services Monday at the church; memorials to the church or the Denver Sunset Home.

CLERMONT -- June Marie Upton, 47, of Clermont, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at her home after a lengthy illness; services 10 a.m. Saturday at West Clermont Lutheran Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Volga; visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home, Elgin, (319) 426-5321, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

PARKERSBURG -- Arthur W. Meester, 70, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2000, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home from complications of long-term illnesses; services 10:30 a.m. Monday at Colfax Center Presbyterian Church, with burial in the church Cemetery, both in Holland; visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, (319) 346-1534, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m.; memorials to the family.

ELDORADO -- Leo Domero, 90, of Eldorado, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette, after a lengthy illness; survivors include four daughters, Kathy Krueger of Hazleton, Janice Julson of Waterloo, Shirley Larson of McGregor and Sandy Guritz of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; two brothers; a sister; and a grandchild; there will be no services; burial will be later in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Eldorado; Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union, was in charge of arrangements; Mr. Domero farmed and was a carpenter; he worked for United Building Center Lumber Co., West Union, for almost 20 years.

GRUNDY CENTER -- Eldon Frances Moeller, 81, of Grundy Center, died Wedneday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center, of natural causes; survivors include a son, Dean of Grundy Center; and two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; he was preceded in death by his wife, Lona; a brother, Alvin; and two sisters, Marlys Everts and an infant; services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Grundy Center; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church; memorials may be directed to the family; Mr. Moeller farmed southeast of Grundy Center, retiring in 1984.

GARWIN -- Lottie F. Havran, 84, of Toledo, formerly of Garwin, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Grandview Acres, Toledo, after a lengthy illness; survivors include two sons, Donald of Toledo and Gary of St. Paul, Minn.; and five grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, in 1978; two brothers; and six sisters; services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garwin United Methodist Church, with burial in Garwin Cemetery; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Overton Funeral Home, Garwin; a memorial fund has been established.

GRUNDY CENTER -- Irene Ennenga, 80, of Grundy Center, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit, Grundy Center, of natural causes; survivors include her husband, Clarence; and a brother, Melvin Tjepkes of Cedar Falls; she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Dean; two sisters, Hennrietta Tjepkes and Hannah Ennenga; and a brother, Peter Tjepkes; services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church, with burial in Lincoln Township Cemetery; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center; a memorial fund has been established.

TRIPOLI -- Cassie Crittenden, 110, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Friendship Village Health Center, Waterloo, of natural causes; she is survived by a niece; she was preceded in death by four brothers; services at 3 p.m. today at Rettig Funeral Chapel, Tripoli, with burial in Fremont Cemetery, rural Tripoli; Ms. Crittenden worked at the Tripoli Mercantile Co. for over 21 years; she was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit of Bockhaus-Bartels Legion Post 356 of Tripoli.

MANCHESTER -- Edith A. Siddell, 99, of Manchester, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, after a brief illness; survivors include six daughters, Marilyn Webber of Marion, Hazel Hayslett of Summerfield, Fla., Sibyl Dever of Wilmington, N.C., Vivien Benter of Hopkinton, Crystal Evans of Tyler, Texas, and Ann Zupanc of Brecksville, Ohio; three sons, Paul of Hot Springs, Ark., Gary of Coggon and Ward Jr. of Fruitland Park, Fla.; and 37 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; a son, Robert Ward; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nelson and John Ives; and two sisters, Louella Ives and Ruth May; memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, both in Manchester; friends may call for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home; Mrs. Siddell and her husband farmed for many years in Delaware County, and she had worked many years in dietetics at the hospital.

IOWA FALLS -- Marlin F. Walters, 85, of Marshalltown, formerly of Iowa Falls and Waverly, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at The Villa Del Sol Care Facility, Marshalltown, of natural causes; survivors include nieces; he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlys R.; and a sister, Angene Simcox; services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Linn's Funeral Home, with burial in Union Cemetery, both in Iowa Falls; friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home; memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice; Mr. Walters attended Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa Falls and Morningside College, Sioux City; he earned a bachelor's degree in teaching from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, and a master's degree in administration from the University of Wisconsin; he taught high school in Waverly for six years and taught and was an administrator with the Kenosha Wisconsin Unified School District for 33 years, retiring in 1978.

RICEVILLE -- Betty J. Kozak, 77, of Riceville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage, after a brief illness; survivors include her husband, John; three daughters, M. Ann Aulwes-Allison of Ottumwa, Lura Hockens of McIntire and Ellen Novak of Conrad; six sons, Richard of Riceville, Ron of Mason City, Roger of Farmington, Robert of Sun Prairie, Wis., Russell of New London and Rex of Granville; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob and Jimmy Gunsallus, both of Osage, and Dean Gunsallus of Stacyville; and four sisters, Evelyn Rosenswig of Casper, Wyo., Anna Feldt of St. Ansgar, Shirley Fiser of Charles City and Ruby Fjetland of Chester; she was preceded in death by a son, Randy; a brother, Keith Gunsallus; and two grandchildren; services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Riceville; friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home, Riceville, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service.

CHARLES CITY -- Barbara Tynan, 70, of Charles City, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City, of natural causes; survivors include her husband, Leo; a son, Richard "Dick" of Charles City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen Nelson of Charles City; and three sisters, Nettie Vetter of St. Louis, Mo., Betty Watkins of Greene and Delores Fike of Rudd; she was preceded in death by a sister; and an infant daughter; services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, both in Charles City; friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; visitation also from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and for an hour before services at the church.
