Lloyd H. Lowry, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday March 24, 2013 in Northbrook Manor Care Center from a short illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine J. Lowry, his sons; Don A. (Rhonda) Lowry of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Richard (Lucy) Lowry of North Mankato, Minnesota, his sister-in-law, Barbara J. Lowry of Marion, Iowa, his grandchildren; Scott Lowry of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Brooke Lowry of Rochester, New York, Eric Lowry of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Christopher (Emily) Lowry of North Mankato, Minnesota and Steve Lowry of Bozeman, Montana; and one great-grandson, Quinn. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son.
Lloyd was born October 7, 1929 in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Maude Beaman Lowry. He married
Lorraine Gamm on July 8, 1951 in Cedar Rapids. Lloyd worked for Rockwell in Engineer Records and retired after 40 plus years of service. He was a member of Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church and various retirees groups. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Robert Stephen Bob Klopp

Robert Bob S. Klopp, resident of the Cedar Rapids/Marion area died Monday September 13, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Central Park Presbyterian Church, 1700 B Avenue NE, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Rev. Jay Miller will officiate. There will be no visitation.
His wife, Joy, survives him along with his three children, John Bobbie Sue R. Klopp of Mt. Vernon, Deborah Klopp and Bob Klopp both of Cedar Rapids, his grandchildren James Klopp and Sara Klopp, sister, Arlene Dwight LeClere of Coggon, Mary Lou Musser of Cedar Rapids, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his dog K.C. His parents, Arthur Thomas and Fern Amelia Tritle Klopp, preceded him in death.
Bob was born, May 4, 1927 in the Blairsferry Road home where his father and grandfather were born, which at the time, was just west of Marion. He graduated from Franklin High School, joined the Navy, serving as a Storekeeper Third Class during the latter part of World War II and received an honorable discharge. He married
Irene Joy Syers on April 25, 1948 in Cedar Rapids.
Prior to his retirement, Bob owned and operated Klopp Hearing Aid Center for over twenty years. He joined the International Hearing Society in 1975; was President of the Iowa Hearing Aid Society; and served as Governor of the Society's Central Territory. Bob was active in the White House Conference on Small Business and National Chair of the Federal and State Affairs Committee. He was Board Certified by NBC-HIS and held Certificate #16. He actively contributed to the continuing education programs for hearing aid dispensers at the state and national levels and was involved in licensing requirements for the hearing aid dispensers in the State of Iowa.
He was a life long member of Central Park Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Board of Trustees member, an Elder, and Church Treasurer. He is a Past President of the Tuesday Noon Optimist's Club; member of the American Legion for fifty-eight years; member of El Kahir Temple, and Scottish Rite of Freemasons of Cedar Rapids.
He played in the Cedar Rapids Major Open Softball League as a pitcher; he worked alongside the University of Iowa Sports Information team; he, was actively involved with the Service Club Bowling League of Cedar Rapids; he was a member of the Leisure Time Stamp Club; and was an avid fisherman.

Alex Edward and Austin James Kramer, twin sons of Todd and Julie Kramer of 3866 Lost Valley RD. SE were stillborn on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital. Graveside services at 10 AM on Wed. at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Tim Smith will officiate. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include their parents, a brother, Zachary and a sister, Madison, both at home, grandparents, Alice Ehlinger of Cedar Rapids and Roger Beehler of Clinton, great grandfather, Edward Kucera of Cedar Rapids and an uncle Jim Beehler and his wife, Kim of Ohio. A memorial fund has been established in Alex and Austin's names.

Richard A. 'Rich' Kemme, 40 of 308 Cottage St. in Shellsburg, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a sudden illness. Services at 11 AM on Wed. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Fran Griffeth will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the Chapel after 10 AM on Wed.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Janie and Bill Williamson, his brother, James and his wife, Tracey all of Waterloo, two half sisters, Sharon and Judy, his significant other, Esther Rusch of Shellsburg, a niece, Lilly and two nephews, Jamie and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael.
Rich was born on June 16, 1964 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles and Janie Montgomery Kemme. He did bulk deliveries for the Cedar Rapids Gazette for 2 and half years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid bowler. Rich will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial fund has been established.

Beverly J. Keim, 73, of 4721 Midway Dr. NW, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 19, 2004, following a lengthy fight with cancer. Services at 1 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Monday and at the chapel after noon on Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband Keith, her mother Irene Weber of Osage, Iowa, daughter Debbie Milot and husband Michael of Longmont, Colorado, son Jonathan Enabnit and wife Sharon of Ventura, California, grandson James Egger and wife Eileen of Longmont, Colorado, granddaughter Juliann Horan and husband Neil of Seattle, Washington, granddaughter Nicole D'Alessandro of Santa Barbara, California, Aunt Rose Meyer of Osage, Iowa, step-son Joel Keim and wife Heather and their daughters Makayla and MaKenna of Marengo, and step son Kerry Keim of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her father H. L. "Venie" Weber, and a son Jeremiah Iowa.
Bev was born in New Haven, Iowa on September 29, 1930. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in New Haven. She then attended St. Teresa's College in Winona, Minnesota. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a Medical Assistants degree in 1970 and proceeded to work in various physicians' offices as a medical assistant for many years, including 10 years with Dr. Donald Castle. In the early 60's she was active in the Welcome Wagon and the American Business Women's Association.
Bev and Keith derived much pleasure and enjoyment in their association with the Cedar Rapids Elks Lodge No 251 and their members.
Bev traveled extensively and loved to collect casino cards. She took much pride and joy in her children and grandchildren, and loved to visit them.
The family wishes to thank all of Bev's friends for their prayers and thoughtfulness during her battle, and to Dr. Leila Kutteh, and staff at Oncology Associates, Dr. Melanie Stahlberg, and to Mercy Hospice for their kind care.

Leonard "Kay" Kemble Jr., 79, of 169 Eastview Drive NW, died at home Saturday, June 5, 2004 due to complications of diabetes. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church by the Rev. Don Czapla. Burial: Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois with military honors. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. and from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Ormaline; four daughters, Harriett and Lennie Marx of Burlington, WI, Marilyn and Pat Sears of North Platte, NE, Pamela and David Ruemmele and Elizabeth and Wesley Drahozal, all of Des Moines; a son Steven and Becky Kemble of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Born January 1, 1925 in Muscatine to Leonard and Harriett McCormick Kemble, he married
Ormaline Wilhelm on March 13, 1945 in McComb, IL. Leonard was a Navy veteran of WWII, stationed on the USS Barracuda. He worked for Rockwell Collins until 1980 and then co-founded the Two Star Detective Agency where he worked until 1991.
Leonard was the past President of Iowa State Reserve Law Officers, a member of the Iowa Association of Private Investigators, Veterans Public Safety, a Lifetime member of the American Legion Hanford Post #5, VFW Post #1308 in Rock Island, Holland Club member of the US Submarine Veterans, a First Aid Instructor for the Red Cross, and helped to organize the Boy Scouts at St. Jude Church where he was a member.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Survivors include his wife, Carol, a daughter, Kasey Knight-Day Eric of Cedar Rapids and his father, Charles of Coulter. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Jesse and Paige and a step grandchild, Joey, his mother in law, Dorothy Sauter, a brother in law, Floyd Sauter JR. Judy, and a sister in Law, Bobbi Jo Port all of Cedar Rapids, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, Robert and Charles, two nephews, Brian and Jimmy and his father in law, Floyd Sauter Sr.
Ken was born on Aug. 6, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles and Cleo Rodgers Knight. He married
Carol J. Sauter on May 20, 1972 in Cedar Rapids. Ken worked through Local 43 of the Laborers Union and Local No. 238 with the Teamsters Union for many years. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Vietnam Vets and a life member of the VFW Post No. 788. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Ken's name. Military rites by VFW Post No. 788.
