Mildred E. McNeill, 97, formerly of H Avenue NW, died peacefully and surrounded by her family, Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Northbrook Care Center. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at St. James United Methodist Church by the Rev. Susan Detwiler. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at Turner West Funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Mildred is survived by two daughters, Mary Joan Don McAlister of Cedar Rapids, and Judith Ann Nesper of Hiawatha; a son James Q. Dee McNeill, Jr. of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Penny Dan Crespin of Denver, CO, Steven Anita Ferguson of Dixon, CA, James McNeill, III of Cedar Rapids, and Theresa Patrick Needham of Aurora, IL; six great grandchildren, Todd Tammy Ferguson of Denver, CO, Christina Ferguson of Littleton, CO, Evan and Ilana Ferguson of Dixon, CA, and Nicholas and Alexander Needham of Aurora, IL; one great great grandchild, Dakota Ferguson of Denver, CO; six step-grandchildren, Dianne Larry Wagner of Danville, CA, Barb Fran Henderson of Robins, Rick Linda Clarkson of Swisher, Marcia Kelly of Marshalltown, Pat Williams of Omaha, NE, and Glenn McAlister of Iowa City; six step-great grandchildren; eight step great great-grandchildren; and a special grandson, Kent Burkle of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years in 1988 and a son-in-law, Fred Nesper.
Mildred was born October 17, 1907 in Monmouth, IL. She married
James Q. "Mac" McNeill Sr. on September 3, 1927 in Rock Island, IL.
Mildred was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she was involved in United Methodist Women, the Martha Circle, and the Builders Group where she worked extensively to build the current church. She also served wedding receptions at the church for over twenty years. She was a former president of Harrison School PTA and a member of the Bunco Babes.

Bernard "Bunny" M. Port: 87, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona formerly of Cedar Rapids, died November 12, 2002 in Havasu Nursing Center in Lake Havasu City. Memorial services will be held Friday December 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner of First United Methodist Church of Marion officiating. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Faye Opal Anthes Port, a son Bruce Sarah Port of Hillsboro, Oregon, two daughters, Sally Jack Dempsey of Lake Havasu, Arizona and Ginger Bobby Springer of Hartsel, Colorado, a brother Millard Port of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a sister Darlene Langridge of Marion.

James J. Miceli, 72, of 3620 Center Point Rd. NE died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at his home of lung cancer. Services at 11 AM on Wed. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate. Burial at 2 PM on Wed. at the Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the Church after 10 AM on Wed.
Survivors include his wife, Esther, two sons, Steven and his fianc?e Dorothy Snyder of La Crosse, WI. and Michael Renee of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica and Angela, a brother, Sam Bettie of Arcadia, CA., and two sisters, Anna Stuckenbruck Dale of Cedar Rapids and Vita Plavets and her significant other, Don Curphy of Marshalltown. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim was born on June 25, 1932 in Tama, the son of Charles and Dorothy Sala Miceli. He married
Esther L. Farnum on Aug. 7, 1954 in Tama. Jim worked at Rockwell-Collins for 37 years, retiring in 1989. He was a lifetime member and former president of the Izaak Walton League where he was involved at the local, state and national level. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Collins Retiree Group. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, family dinners, hunting and meeting with his many friends at Donutland. A memorial fund has been established in Jim's name.

Brogan Alexzander Miller, infant son of Lindsay and James Miller of 6330 Christine Drive, Marion, died Saturday May 21, 2005 in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Marion Free Methodist Church. Inurnment: Oak Hill cemetery. The Pastor Del Bear will officiate. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers, Nicholas Miller, Ian Miller, of Marion, Raymond Osburn of Iowa City, and Charles Miller of Oklahoma, grandparents, Donna Yanda and Dale White of Springville, Bruce Brown and Valeria Sullivan of Woodhull, New York and Raymond Sullivan of Addison, New York, Grandpa Jame's Char Miller, Oklahoma, Deb and Mike Smith, Sringville. Also surviving are many aunts and uncles.

Scott S. Oglesby, 48, of Hiawatha died March 2, 2007 following a sudden illness in Deforest, WI. Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 6 PM. Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate.
Survivors include daughters Meghan Oglesby of New York, NY, and Jessica Oglesby of Iowa City. Also surviving are sisters Vallerie Jannie and husband Louis of Marion, Tana Thoeny of Deforest, WI, and brother Bryan L. Oglesby of Flagstaff, AZ.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
Scott Schultz Oglesby was born August 23, 1959 in Cedar Rapids the beloved son of Bryan Gail and Phyillis Valliere Oglesby. He was a 1977 graduate of Marion Highschool. He was a member of Local 3 Bricklayers Union. Scott enjoyed outdoors, collecting antiques, cooking, and his family. Scott will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by his family and friends that loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Scott's honor.

Edward Eugene McClure, 60, 1540 6th Ave SE died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his home following a courageous battle with lung cancer . Memorial Services: 3:00 P.M. Surviving in addition to his devoted wife Elizabeth are two sons, Edward Harold McClure of Cedar Rapids and Chad Taylor McClure and fianc? Kelly of Alaska; two daughters, Joelle Rene Dickerson and husband Thomas of Iowa City and Tara Lianna McClure of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Trent, Dustin, Saige and Rochelle; a sister, Ruth Bennett of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Gary McClure of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two daughters Jaci Hartley, and Jeri El-Tall both of Cedar Rapids
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruby and a niece Nancie Ann.
Edward was born April 19, 1945 in Cedar Rapids the son of Edward Harold and Ruby Billings McClure. He married
Elizabeth Ann Taylor on October 18, 1969 in Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Edward spent more than 22 years in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a helicopter technical inspector. He served two terms during the Vietnam War. Following his service in the military, he and Liz were long haul truckers. He later worked for Truck Country of Iowa at the Cedar Rapids location. He was a huge supporter of Cruising for Camp Courageous, was a member of the National Veterans Association, and the National Disabled Veterans Association. His love was for hotrods, his wife and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ed's name will be used for the purchase of DVD's for the chemotherapy unit at St. Luke's Cancer Care.

Survivors include three daughters Pauline Newcomb and husband Larry of Cedar Rapids, Patricia Whitlock and husband Larry, and Lisa McClure all of Marion, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Christopher Newcomb, four brothers and two sisters.
Reva was born May 12, 1919 in Lynnville, Iowa to Grover and Maud Beason.
She married
Paul M. McClure on October 16, 1945 in Rockford, Illinois. He died June 20, 1995. Reva was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, working with the campfire girls, PTA, and was the leader of the youth group of her church. She enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid reader.
