WAVERLY -- Elva Sara McDade, 65, of Waverly, formerly of Williamsburg, Va., died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, from complications of cancer; survivors include two sons, Thomas J. of Hockessin, Del., and John P. of Aston, Pa.; three daughters, Sharon L. McDade of Webster, N.Y., Karen M. Loveland of Janesville and Jennifer M. McDade of Aston, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and her former husband, Thomas McDade of Virginia Beach, Va.; she was preceded in death by her parents, Grant Adam and Francis Andrews Shaner; and a son, Michael E.; private family services will take place at a later date; her body was cremated; Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements; after graduating from high school, she modeled for Block's Department Store in Norristown, Pa.; in 1988 she moved to Williamsburg, where she was employed by Williamsburg Landing, a retirement community, until October 2000.
