Greg Rust, 57, of Cedar Rapids, died March 28, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Harlan Gillespie of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
Greg was born in Belle Plaine, Iowa on January 1, 1955. He was the second son of Marianne Lester Rust and Rodney A. Rust. Jeffery Lester Rust is his older brother. Marianne Lester was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lester and had also been born in Belle Plaine. Rodney Rust is the second son of Orville and Betty Rust, Richard being the first.
Greg lived through his school years in Belle Plaine, Knoxville, Ottumwa, Albuquerque, NM and Palo Alto, CA. He graduated from Denton High School in Denton, Texas.
His mother, Marianne, died prior to his senior year in high school. Upon graduation he lived three years in Montreal, Canada with his father and then returned to Texas where he entered the trades as a floor covering specialist, and he continued in this craft throughout his life. He was recognized by his co-workers as having exceptional expertise and he considered it important to excel at his work. His grandmother, Betty Rust, had always instilled the principle that the quality of the job is less important than the quality of the work. Greg practiced that principle; he was good at his craft.
His last few years were marked by failing health brought by the demands of his work and his life-style. Greg was a loving person with an abiding faith in God.

Mary L. Reeve, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died April 7, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Cedar Memorial’s certified celebrant, Julie Freese will officiate. Visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Chapel of Memories. Entombment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Buck Reeve; her children, Mike Reeve and wife Vicki of Cedar Rapids and Kim Duncan and husband David of Joplin, MO; her grandchildren, Lesley Schieltz and husband Cory and their daughter Chloe, Michael Reeve, Jr. all of Cedar Rapids, John Duncan of Chicago, IL and Max Duncan of Joplin, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-sister Juanita.
Mary Louise Reeve was born December 13, 1929 in Jacksonville, IL the daughter of Earl and Margaret White. She was united in marriage to C.A. Buck Reeve on August 27, 1950 in Jacksonville, IL. In her younger days she enjoyed playing tennis and bridge. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.
Memorial donations in Mary’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Charles William Resewehr, 46, of Cedar Rapids passed away suddenly on August 12, 2009. Services at 10:00 AM on Monday at King of King’s Lutheran Church. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday. The casket will be closed on Monday at the Church.
Chuck was born on October 3, 1962 and lived most of his life in Cedar Rapids. Known for his spirited disposition and sense of humor, Chuck will be greatly missed by his beloved daughter, Haley, family and friends, and his four-legged buddy, Stuart.
Chuck loved the simple pleasures in life; sharing a good meal with family and friends, watching sports, Indy car racing, attending his daughter’s and niece’s extracurricular activities, traveling overseas and enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Haley Ann Resewehr, his mother Norma Fillmore of Cedar Rapids; 2 sisters, Darla (Dale) Hoffman of Tampa, Florida and Amy (Scott) Pace of Olathe, Kansas, brother, Andrew of Cedar Rapids, and sister-in-law Karla Resewehr of Cedar Rapids and Kathy Resewehr. He also survived by loving nieces, Lily and Emma Hoffman, Ava Pace, Ashley and Lauren Resewehr and nephew Noah Pace. He was preceded in death by his beloved best friend and brother, John Thomas and grandparents, Thomas and Edith Lekin, and Elwood and Dorothy Resewehr.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Haley’s name.

Lillian “Joy” Rainbow, 79, of 3487 Raven Lane NE, died August 11, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Faith and Life Center. Rev. Perry Fruhling will officiate. Friends may call after 10:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Private inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband of almost 60 years, William “Bud” C. Rainbow; her children Gary and wife Peggy of Madison, WI, Mark and wife Barbara of Fairfield, Peter and wife June of Robins, Joel and wife Diane of Gilbert, AZ, and Cathy Swenson and husband Daniel of Marion; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and two brothers Edward and Terry.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lillian “Joy” Joyrene Rainbow was born March 3, 1930 in Des Moines, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Carlson) Emmons. She was educated through the Des Moines Public Schools, later attended UNI, and was a graduate of Mt. Mercy College. She was united in marriage to William “Bud” C. Rainbow on December 30, 1949 in Cedar Falls. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Cedar Rapids from 1972 – 1993, at both Pierce and Grant Wood. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association, PEO, DAR-Mayflower Chapter, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Faith and Life Center. She enjoyed gardening, and above all enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her family.

James C. “Jimmy” Railsback, 46, of 1516 Richmond Rd NE, died suddenly Friday, August 7, 2009. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 AM Wednesday in Garden of the Cross in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving to honor his memory are his wife Rebecca “Becky”, daughter Kylie, step son Brett Moore, step daughter Amber Moore, his father and step mother Jerald and Judy Railsback all of Cedar Rapids, two brothers John of Palo and Joe of Cedar Rapids, three sisters Rita Duby and Janet Timm both of Cedar Rapids, and Kim Railsback of Sonnet, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Railsback, and grandparents Cecil and Daisy Railsback.
Jimmy was born April 22, 1963, in Cedar Rapids. He was a truck driver for Liebe Trucking. He married
Rebecca (Becky) Moore on January 1, 1999 in Cedar Rapids.
Jimmy was a loving and caring husband and devoted father, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mary Eleanor Rumann

Mary Eleanor Rumann, a resident of MethWick passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, April 13. She was 88 years old.
Mary was born April 20, 1920 in her family’s farmhouse in Grand Mound, Iowa. She was the eldest daughter of Gertrude (Carlin) and Elmer Bousselot in a family of nine children.
Mary graduated from Mount St. Claire Academy for Girls in Clinton, Iowa in 1938 and attended Maquoketa Junior College where she received her teaching certificate. Mary taught in a one-room school house near rural DeWitt, Iowa until she joined the Cadet Corps to become a nurse and serve during WWII. After the war, Mary worked as an office nurse for Dr. Leander Schaeffer in DeWitt.
Mary married
James Rumann on September 2, 1946. The two made their home on a farm near rural DeWitt and upon retirement, moved to Bellevue, Iowa. When James died in 2006, Mary moved to Cedar Rapids to be near her daughter, Liz.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary White of Gilbert, Arizona, Trudy (John) Heil of Scottsdale, Arizona and Liz (Mark) Mathis of Cedar Rapids, a brother Jack (Pat) Bousselot of Lincoln, Nebraska, Madonna (Merlin) Portz of Dubuque and Theresa (Dorrance) Kedley of DeWitt. Mary is survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a loving wife and mother, avid church volunteer, beautiful singer and expert cook and gardener.
Services for Mary will be Friday, April 17 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hiawatha, Iowa. A visitation will begin at 9 AM followed by a mass at 10:30AM. A graveside service will be held at 3:30PM at St. Joseph's cemetery in Bellevue.
Memorials can be made to MethWick and Hospice House of Mercy in Cedar Rapids.
