Robert "Bob" Clark Zink, 78, of 2972 Sommerbrook Lane, Marion, died Friday, July 29, 2005, as a result of Alzheimer's disease. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Marion by the Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 8 Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Annette; three sons, Alan Diane Zink of Columbia, MD, Scott Melissa Gaston of Chicago, IL, and Bob Kathy Harmon of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Laurie Zink of Ellicott City, MD, , Holly Mark Penuel of Enterprise, AL; and Dianne Shipler and Judy Weeter, both of Silver Spring, MD; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Scott Bechtel, Matt Tina O'Neal, Esther, Crystal, and Trevor Penuel, Melanie and Fleurette Gaston, and three great grandchildren, Alexis, Micah, and Zion O'Neal.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Bob was born October 6, 1926 in Cockeysville, MD to Benjamin and Berdie Pearl Sykes Zink. He was in the Unites States Navy from 1943 to 1964 where he was a radio operator for the Chief of Naval Operations. He later worked at Rockwell in the radio room. He married
Annette Johnston on March 11, 1981 at Osage Beach, MO.

Donald Charles Rodman
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 29, 1940

Donald Charles Rodman, 70, went to heaven on April 16, 2010, after a long fight with COPD. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am, April 21, 2010 at St. James United Methodist Church, 1430 Ellis Blvd NW, Cedar Rapids, with lunch to follow.
Donald was born on January 29, 1940. He married
Alleen Marie Martin on December 2, 1967. He started at the Cedar Rapids Street Dept as a heavy equipment operator and retired as acting Director of Public Works after 36 years. He enjoyed exploring the Cedar River with his family, fishing, hunting, and classic cars. Donald’s favorite vacation spots were Northern Minnesota and Mt. View, Arkansas. He loved gospel, bluegrass, and classical music; reading old west novels; and working in the yard. He was happiest when with his grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy (Robinson) Rodman.
He is survived by his wife, Alleen; his sisters: Donna (Larry) Funk, Virginia (Marvin) Shaffer, and Julia (Mick) Ransome; his children and grandchildren: Dawn and her girls Elizabeth (Efren) Moreno and Karra (Mike) Ferguson; Bill (Sheri) and his girls Maliesa (Jade) Sears, Michelle, Kristin, Amie, and Grace; Christopher (Christine) and their children Carter, Quinn, Emma, and Skyler; and Marci and her daughter Jessie. He left behind eleven great-grandchildren: Austin, Alysalynn, Avery, Aydan, Andres, Collin, Dally, Jadyn, Lucas, James, and Sulleigh Bryann. Donald will truly be missed. We love you Dad!
Florence W. Williams

Florence W. Williams, 90, a resident of Crestview Acres Care Center in Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center, following a long illness. Services at 11 AM Wednesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Kay Slocum of First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the chapel after 10 AM on Wednesday.
Survivors include two sons Ray and wife Edna and Charles and wife Deborah all of Cedar Rapids, three daughters Sally Wilson and husband Wayne of Denver, Iowa, Mary Bowers and husband Larry and Donna Seavy and husband James all of Cedar Rapids, a special niece Kathy Wieland of Cedar Rapids, 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.
Florence was born August 13, 1911 in Cedar Rapids to Elbert and Violet Fuller Williams. She married
Herbert L. Williams on April 8, 1930 in Cedar Rapids. He died February 20, 1990. Florence and Herbert owned and operated Esquire Dry Cleaners for 40 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, A.B.W.A., and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, crossword puzzles and especially all her grandchildren.
Florence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.

Mary Delores Votroubek, 95, of 3500 Sheridan Dr. SE, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. David O’Connor of All Saints Catholic Church officiating. Burial in St. John’s cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home with a scriptural wake service beginning at 5 PM and a Catholic Daughters rosary service at 5:30 PM.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Jo and her son Mike both of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Godfrey, and siblings Clara, Libby, and George.
Mary was born August 12, 1914 in Cedar Rapids to Aloysius and Clara Kabala Kofron. She married
Godfrey Votroubek at St. Ludmila’s Catholic Church in June of 1930. She worked at Quaker Oats and was devoted to raising her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and a charter member of All Saints Catholic Church. Family life was always very important for Mary. She treasured her children and her faith.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the capital campaign at All Saints Parish.
Kathryne LaVonne Underwood

Kathryne LaVonne Underwood, 82, longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday June 16, 2011 at Northbrook Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
LaVonne was born in Fairfax, Iowa on November 18, 1928 to Charles and Kathryne (Buresh) Gibson. She was married
to Joyce Underwood Jr. on November 4, 1951 in Fairfax, Iowa. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1947 and cosmetology school in 1948. LaVonne was a beautician for a number of years and was also employed at Rockwell Collins from 1966 until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the Elks Club women’s auxiliary. LaVonne enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping and caring for the flowers she planted in her yard.
Survivors include two daughters, Genine (Joe) Davis of Rudd, Iowa, Cindy (John) Pansegrau of Solon, a son, Mark (Barb) Underwood of Cedar Rapids, two granddaughters, five grandsons and eight great grandchildren.
LaVonne was preceded by her husband, her parents and two brothers, Howard and Clarence Gibson.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northbrook Care Center of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Gladys Tharp, 99, of Elk Horn died Sunday August 1, 2010 at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, IA. A Memorial Service will be at 1 PM Saturday August 7, 2010 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Gladys Genevieve Tharp was born May 25, 1911 in Anamosa to Jake and Minnie Streeter. She was a graduate of Penn College in Oskaloosa.
She is survived by a daughter Karen K. Thompson of Harlan, IA step sons Richard Tharp of Cedar Rapids, IA and Ronald Tharp of Boone, NC, and a sister LaVonne Carlson of Moberly, MO. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Gladys is preceded in death by a son Donovan Tharp and her parents Jake and Minnie Streeter.

Norabelle “Billie” Rusher, 95, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Ft. Madison Health Center. Billie is survived by sons, Keith (Jan) Rusher of Ft. Madison and Del (Sandy) Rusher of Las Vegas, NV; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noel; daughter, Elaine McGinness; and 2 sisters.
Billie was born January 11, 1915 in Des Moines and married
Noel Rusher there on September 2, 1933. She was a buyer for Killians Department Store for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
