Robert Allen 'Bob' Weinhardt, a longtime Cedar Rapids business executive and securities broker, and the former president of the Cedar Rapids Community School Board, passed away on July 4, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. The cause was lung cancer.

Geraldine Wilson
Born in Kahoka, MO on January 1, 1930
Departed on August 8, 2004. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Geraldine M. "Geri" Trent Wilson, 74, died August 8, 2004 following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Turner West Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel Clark Bridges of Hope Lutheran Church. Burial: Hickory Grove cemetery, Keokuk. Friends may call at Turner West Funeral Home Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday.

Survivors include two sons, William Hagmeier and wife Cheri of Tennessee, and Raymond Hagmeier and wife Karen of Maryland; a daughter Janet Beam of Texas; a granddaughter raised by Geri and George, Cindy Dixon of Texas; two grandsons, Brian Hagmeier and wife Brittney of Cedar Rapids and Brent Hagmeier of Cedar Rapids; six great grandchildren; and many other close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee and Clara E. Koontz Trent; her husband, George C. Wilson; two brothers, Estelle Trent and Archie Trent; and one grandson, William "Billy" Hobb.

On March 19, 1950, Geri married Clyde Hagmeier and later divorced. While living in Keokuk, she was employed for several years at Swift and Co. and eventually opened their own bar and restaurant, The Wagon Wheel. She married George C. Wilson on January 8, 1964 and relocated to Cedar Rapids, where she has been a resident since 1964. Geri worked for National Oats for 28 years before retiring. Even after retirement, Geri grew restless, and continued to work first at Office Team with her good friend and neighbor, Debbi, and most recently part time at Osco Drug. Geri was full of love and joy for her family and friends. Geri was not only a good mother and wife but an even better grandmother. Her everyday routine seemed to echo the love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Geri's home was always a gathering place for all of her family and friends.

Geri was a member of the American Fed Grain Miller Union. Through her marriage to George she was active with Ironworkers Local #89. She belonged to Hope Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mary Ann Wooff
Born in Cedar Rapids on October 7, 1925

Mary Ann Wooff, 78, of 424 Mayberry Dr. NW, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center from complication of Alzheimer's. Services at 1 PM Saturday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Friday and at the chapel after noon on Saturday.
Survivors include a son John of Cedar Rapids, a daughter Barb and husband Scott of Marion, and a brother George Pechar of Overland Park, Kansas.
Also survived by a granddaughter Patricia Ann "Annie" Wooff of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Marcella Kristan.
Mary Ann was born October 7, 1925 in Cedar Rapids to John and Stella Tvrdik Pechar. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1944. She married Elwin L. Wooff in January of 1958 in Cedar Rapids. He died January 11, 1999. She was an avid bowler, serving as secretary of the CRWBA for many years, and participated in many national bowling tournaments. She became a member of the Cedar Rapids Bowling Hall of Fame on November 8, 1986.

Mark 'Bud' 'Woody' H. Woodward IV

Mark H. 'Bud' 'Woody' Woodward, 63, of 24315 County Road D-62 near Monticello, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sat. Sept. 4, 2004 at his home after a short illness. Friends may visit with the family after 12:00 PM on Tuesday followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM at Believers in Grace Fellowship. Rev. Bill Randles will officiate. Inurnment at 2:30 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
Survivors include his wife, Frances, two daughters, Mary McConnell and husband John of Monticello, Lisa Hamilton and her husband, Bill, two sons, Mark Woodward V and his wife, Debra and Chuck and his wife, Deborah; a sister, Shirley Burnett and a brother, David and his wife, Donna all of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bud was born on May 26, 1941 in Marion, the son of Mark and Ann Johnson Woodward III. He married Frances Antoinette Krejci on Jan. 24, 1962 in Cedar Rapids. Woody was an operating engineer for L.L. Pelling for 20 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 234 and the NRA. He enjoyed model railroads, stock cars, target shooting and time spent with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Woody's name.

Doris Jane Wilcox
Born in Topeka, Kansas on November 8, 1927
Departed on September 15, 2004. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Doris Jane Wilcox, 76, of 1111 Forest Glen Ct. SE. died Wed. Sept. 15, 2004 at her home of cancer. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carol and Steve Siefkes of Waukesha, WI. and Anne and Sam Allen of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ellen and Robert Siefkes; a sister Mary Louise and Richard Brown of Rosemount, MN. and a cousin, Ellen and Robert Riggs of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfield Wilcox and her parents, John and Margaret Plumb.
Doris was born on Nov. 8, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas in 1950 and was elected to Nonoso, the women's honorary society. On April 7, 1951, Doris married Win Wilcox.
After college, Doris was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad and later as a media specialist in the Cedar Rapids School District. On October 7, 1974 she began employment at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, working in media. She retired in 1989.
In retirement she enjoyed bridge, mah jongg, travel and her family. Doris was also an avid reader.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Mercy, Cedar Rapids, Iowa or the American Cancer society.

Lyle 'The Colonel' S. Wessale

Lyle S. Wessale "The Colonel", 78, of 633 42nd St. NE, died Friday, November 5, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Memorial services are at 3 PM Monday in the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment is in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may register at the chapel after 2:30 PM on Monday. Arrangements are by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Lyle was born in Waconia, Minnesota, on May 23, 1926, the only child of George and Lillian F. Ziemer Wessale. He was a resident of Cedar Rapids since 1937. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Army in France and Germany from 1944 to 1948.
During his military service, he became an army photographer and subsequently pursued photography as a career. He was a graduate of The Progressive School of Photography, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut and the Winona School of Photography, Indiana, specializing in color and commercial photography as related to art forms. In the 1950's he was a co-owner of Duncan Studios. He then became a partner in the Waconia Sorghum Co. from 1960 to 1979 during which part of that time he managed sales and marketing. After his retirement from Waconia Sorghum, he and his wife, Marilyn Parks Wessale, who predeceased him in 1987, traveled extensively exhibiting his photographic art. He was a 5-Star member of the American Society of Artists, the Photographic Society of America, and in 1959 was awarded the degree of Master of Photography by the Professional Photographers of America. Over the years he also served as a judge of art and photography exhibitions. In later years, he exhibited his photography in local antique, and arts and craft shows.
Surviving Lyle are four children, Jerry of Grayslake, Illinois, Craig of Lincoln, Nebraska, Carol Sinkus of Portland, Oregon, and Sheryl Trinka of North English, Iowa, and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars, to any veteran's organization of your choice, or to KCCK, our local public-supported jazz station.

Susan Rae Winberg-Colvin

Susan Rae Winberg-Colvin, 56, of 1640 Daleview Dr, Marion, died Thursday November 25, 2004 in her home from a long illness. Services: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ascension Lutheran Church by the Rev. Linda Livingston. Friends may call on Cedar Memorial Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.
Survivors include her husband Dennis, her children, a daughter, Tara K. Colvin of Marion, a son, Tyson W. Colvin Tiffani and their son, Tyler W. Colvin of Marion, her parents, Charles and Gloria Winberg of Evansdale, her siblings, Michael Winberg and Patrick Winberg both of Evansdale, Randy Winberg of Marion, Jeanie McNamee of Evansdale and David Winberg of Montana.
She was preceded in death by her grandparent, Josie, uncle, Lonnie Winberg and father in law, Arthur L. Colvin Sr.
Susan was born August 8, 1948 in Mondovi, Wisconsin, the daughter of Charles and Gloria Edisen Winberg. Susan graduated from East Waterloo High School in 1966 and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1977 She married Dennis W. Colvin on June 4, 1966 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Susan was employed at Rockwell Collins from 1972 until 2003. She enjoyed knitting and music. She was an avid reader and loved chatting on the Internet. Susan loved and attended all of the sporting events her children were active in. She enjoyed talking and being with her friends. A memorial fund has been established by the family.

H. Ann Wright
Born in Marshalltown, Iowa on March 16, 1924
Departed on May 4, 2005. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Hildred Ann Wright Miller, 81, of 2199 Chandler St. SW, Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at home. Services will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 1 p.m. at Turner West Funeral Home, 800 Second Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 pm. Private interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette Nobel Gerry of Cedar Rapids and Cheryl Sandelin Don of Seattle, Washington; two sons, Gregory Joan and Bradley Laura, both of Olympia, Washington; a sister, Elayne Miller Fisher of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 54 years, Robert, in 1996.
Ann was born on March 16, 1924, in Marshalltown, where her family was friends with the Wright family. Both families eventually ended up living in Cedar Rapids, and on August 23, 1942, Ann and Bob Wright were married . In 1959, they moved with their four children to Des Moines, where Ann lived until shortly after Bob's death, when she moved back to Cedar Rapids.
Ann had an inquisitive mind and active life up until her sudden death. She died while working in her garden, something she looked forward to every winter and spring. She also enjoyed traveling, researching family history, quilting, reading, working on her house, and staying engaged with her children and grandchildren, whom she frequently visited and emailed on her new computer. She worked out regularly at the gym, where she made new friends, volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital, and last fall volunteered with the Kerry for President campaign.
All who knew and loved her will miss her inquisitiveness, zest for life, and perseverance in the face of adversity
