Mary Ann Yedlik, 58, of 3608 Stoneview Circle SW, died Monday June 5, 2006 in her home. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Turners West Funeral Home. Family will have private services and Inurnment.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph W. Yedlik, her children, Andy Yedlik Julie of Waukee, Iowa, and Katy Svihra Matthew of Yorkville, Illinois.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Mary Ann was born December 2, 1947 in Vinton, the daughter of William and Mildred Bogue Stahr. She married
Joseph W. Yedlik on June 27, 1970 in Vinton, Iowa. Mary Ann was a Media Specialist for Wilson Middle School. She graduated from the Iowa State University in Ames with a BA degree and a Masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She was a member of United Parish Church of Coggon where she was very active.
Mary Ann was always helping others. She often bought books for children to enhance their learning and clothes for the needy. In her spare time she enjoyed swimming, ceramics, traveling, knitting Christmas stockings, artwork, and stained glass.
A memorial fund has been established by the family in Mary Ann name to help promote childhood reading.

Thomas (Tom) Robert Wangsness, 25, of Cedar Rapids passed away November 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Wesley Bruss will officiate. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Calmar Community cemetery, Calmar, IA.
Surviving are his parents, Robert and Mary Wangsness; his sister, Danielle Wangsness and husband Ryan Beck all of Cedar Rapids; his grandparents, Howard and Verna Wangsness of rural Decorah, IA; his nephews, Nolan Wangsness, Cade Beck, and Harper Beck all of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, Julie Schneider and husband Ted of Eagan, MN, Sue Seitz and husband John of Vonore, TN, Don Luettjohann and wife Linda of Hiawatha; his cousins, Rob Luettjohann and wife Laura of West Valley City, UT, Laura Alger of Cedar Rapids, and Bill Seitz of Miami, FL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Neil and Margaret Luettjohann.
Thomas Robert Wangsness was born August 6, 1985 in Cedar Rapids the beloved son of Robert J. and Mary M. (Luettjohann) Wangsness. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School in 2004, where he was involved with football and basketball. He was employed at Acterra Group in the accounting department. He enjoyed Frisbee golf, watching football, playing golf, and above all time spent with family and friends. Tom will be forever remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and for always having a giving heart.

Selma A. Welshhons, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died December 27, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a short illness. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Johnson of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Marion, officiating. A memorial visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Surviving are her sons, Steve and Keith both of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Janelle Knockle of Marion; her brother, Irvin Benter of Shady Oaks Care Center, Cascade; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Selma Ann Welshhons was born July 15, 1934 in Hopkinton, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Mary (Kurth) Benter. She attended Moss Hill School, a one room school house, until 8th grade. She was united in marriage to Glenn Welshhons on February 15, 1964 in Cedar Rapids. He preceded Selma in death on December 1, 2010. She was employed as a secretary for over 20 years for the Iowa Department of Transportation. She previously had worked at the Social Security office. She enjoyed gardening flowers and will be remembered as a hard worker. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Selma’s honor.
Donna J. Walsh

Donna J. Walsh, 85, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids died Monday April 4, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha after a long illness. Per Donna’s request there will be no service. Inurnment in the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum Columbarium. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Friday.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine (Gary) Metelak of Santa Paula, California and Koren Walsh of the Twin Cities, Minnesota and two sons, Christopher (Debra) and Patrick (Jill) all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Hali, Chad, Kerry, Ben (Abby), Jessica, Becky and Jake, and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Donna was born on August 2, 1925 in Chatham Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Stanley and Hazel Dolsen Ward. She married
Jerome R. Walsh on February 7, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. He died in 2004. Donna was a volunteer a Brucemore and was a tour guide at the Amana Colonies for many years. She was one of the founders of the Amana Community Theater and a member of the Amana Artists Guild. Donna enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, painting and especially the time she spent with her many friends and beloved family.

Russell E. Walker

Russell E. Walker Sr., 72, of 3614 Bel Air Dr. SE died Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories from 5 to 7 PM on Friday.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, a son, Russ Jr. (Karis) of Reedsburg, Wisconsin and five daughters, Peggy (Richard) DeMeulenaere of Cedar Rapids, Kris Hagan of Cedar Rapids, Jackie (Tim) Pietan of Des Moines, Kathleen DeBrower of Keystone, Jenny (Ian) Walker Davison of Cedar Rapids and a sister, Marion Seago of Fayette. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Charlotte Ault and a grandson Patrick DeBrower.
Russ was born on February 7, 1939 in Arlington, the son of Ervin and Esther Stanford Walker. He married
Judy Boleyn on December 14, 1955 in Arlington. Russ worked for the Chicago Great Western, The Rock Island, Chicago North Western and the Union Pacific Railroad as a customer service representative for 43 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Railroad Union Brac. Russ enjoyed hunting, especially deer, fishing, playing softball, telling jokes and making people laugh. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his beloved family and many friends.

Timothy S. White; 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Wednesday, April 20, in Omaha, Nebraska following complications from surgery. A celebration of Tim's life will be held Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Gary Coffey officiating. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories from 5 to 7 on Monday April 25th. Private family inurnment will take place in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.
Tim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janalyn, three children: daughter, Julie White of Minneapolis, Minnesota, son, Ned (Claire) White of Buffalo, New York and Steve (Mindi) White of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and 6 grandchildren: grandsons Slade, Thor and Bjorn White and granddaughters Avery, Samantha and Lucy White. He is also survived by his brother, Joe White of Buffalo, New York. Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Martha White.
Tim was born November 14, 1941 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Edward and Denise White. He graduated from Shattuck Military Academy in Faribault, Minnesota and then attended the University of Iowa where he received his law degree from the College of Law in 1967. Tim worked as an Assistant County Attorney for Linn County and then started his own practice in Cedar Rapids specializing in trial work. Tim was an advocate for many individuals in need. He was past president of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association; past president of the St. Luke’s Foundation and a longtime trustee of Mount Mercy University.
Prairie Du Chien was his second hometown for over 32 years. While there, he loved mowing on his farm with his John Deere tractor. He enjoyed reading, boating and all things social. Tim had a deep passion for all kinds of art especially modern art and sculpture. But nothing exceeded his deep love for his entire family.
