Raymond L. Wright, 84, of Hiawatha, died May, 11, 2009 at Hallmar, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum of First Lutheran Church will officiate. Family will receive friends and relatives at the chapel after 9:00 AM on Thursday. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters: Joanne (Terry) Zuber, Norway, IA and Carol (Jim) Allen of Cedar Rapids, five grandchildren: Chris (Paul) Engelby, Fairmont, MN, Patty (Lewis) McDorman, Bowie MD, Sarah (Austin) Temperley and Jon (Emily) Allen, Lakeland, FL, and Mark Allen, Cedar Rapids, six great-grandchildren: Ashley and Emily Engelby, Jacob and Amanda McDorman, Jack and Lydia Temperley, a brother, Donald of Wyoming, IA, and sisters, Dorothy Denison, Lisbon, and Gladys Wright, Wyoming, IA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bella, a daughter, Betty Wahlstrom, his parents, Willard and Sarah (Morris) Wright, a sister, Mildred Luckstead, and a brother, Louis.
Ray was born September 13, 1924 in Toddville. He married
Bella Linkenback on November 19, 1944. Ray was a barber until he started building houses in the area as Wright Construction Co. He and Bella developed Sunset Mobile Home Park in Hiawatha in the early 1970’s and continued to operate it until their retirement.
Ray enjoyed camping along trout streams in northeast Iowa and attending bluegrass festivals. He spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Delbert Wayne Wagner

Delbert Wayne Wagner 72, of 3214 Circle Dr NE, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Northbrook Manor Care Center following a long illness. Private graveside services will be held. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation with the family from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Coral, three children Cynthia (Randy) Sibert, and Ray Wagner all of Cedar Rapids, and Teresa (Chris) Deloy of Marion, a sister Darlene Stokes of Hiawatha, a half sister Bobbi Peterson of Illinois, two grandchildren CarrieAnn Johnson and Ryan Sibert, and three great grandchildren Zack and Maddison Richards, and Jaden Chapman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.
Delbert was born June 10, 1936 in Muscatine, Iowa to William and Maude Vance Wagner. He married
Coral Joan Bellach on September 7, 1955 in Muscatine. He was an electrician at Cedar Rapids Inc. for over forty years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed western movies and memorabilia, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
Blanche I. Youngton

Blanche I. Youngton, 87, a resident of Heritage Nursing & Rehab died there Saturday April 16, 2005 following a long illness. Graveside services: 1:00 P.M. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. The Rev. Parker Knoll will officiate. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Robert Kongismark and wife Evelyn of Cedar Rapids and a daughter, Janice Deaver and husband Keith of Anamosa, 6grandchildren, Scott and Steve Deaver, Bob, Richard, Dave and Crista Kongismark, and 3 step grandchildren, Dan, Mike and Tim Brendes. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by siblings, William Sewell, Helen Sewell, Charles Sewell, Margaret Sheible and baby Sewell.
Blanche was born June 20, 1917 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Wood Sewell. Blanche worked for Schaeffer's Jewelry, a secretary for Tupperware Distributor, and Armstrong's and JC Penny Department Stores. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and the cabin on the Wapsipinican River.

Diana M. Wells, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died May 21, 2009 at her son’s home following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on May 30, 2009 at Living Water United Methodist Church. Inurnment was at Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are her sons Rick Schloss and wife Patty of Cedar Rapids, Cliff Schloss and wife Tami, and Andy Schloss and wife Barbara all of Plant City, FL; brothers David Steiner and wife Marilyn of Cedar Rapids, and Jack Steiner and wife Jackie of Wyoming; as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Robert T. Wells.
Diana Mae Steiner Wells was born April 8, 1935 in Manchester the daughter of Clifford and Daisy (Edwards) Steiner. She married
Richard N. Schloss and was later divorced. She later married
Robert T. Wells, and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was employed for 20 years at Acme Printing, working in the binding department. She was a member of Living Water United Methodist Church, where she was active in various church activities. She was also involved with the Emmaus Community. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Above all her greatest enjoyment was the time she shared with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Diana’s honor.
Beverly L. Weaver

Beverly “Bev” L. Weaver, 70, passed away Friday, May 22, 2009 from a long illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Dan Hoeger. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home
Survivors include her children, Penny Carter of Marion, Cindy (Jeff) Ray; anf Sherri Weaver both of Cedar Rapids, and Dennis (Tracy) Weaver of Center Point; grandchildren, Allen (Tara) and Andy Carter, Cory and Casey Sheets, Mary and Dale Weaver; great-granddaughter Lilly Carter; brother, Jim Evans; sister, Sandy (Tony) Zacek; sister-in-law Dee Evans; brother-in-law Duane Weaver; her beloved dog Trouble, cat Tator, and bird Smokie. She is also survived by her “adopted” daughter Ramona Baldyga and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband Dale (Bud); her parents; brother Bob Evans; and special aunt/sister-in-law Yvonne Weaver.
Bev was born September 25, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, IA, daughter of Lloyd and Louise Evans. She married
Dale on Dec 1, 1956. He died in 1992. She worked at Rockwell Collins for 30+ years retiring in 1998. She loved to spend time with her family, watching TV and traveling. Everyone her life has touched will miss her sense of humor and stories.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Medical Centerl and her physicians. Special thanks to the nurses on 4th floor; Jane and Amber in the Wound Clinic for their loving care throughout the last 9 months. They have become a special part of Bev’s family.

John A. Williams 81, of 2198 Dawn Drive, Marion, died Thursday, May 28, 2009, during an annual ( over 50 years) family fishing trip in Minnesota. Services will be held at 11 Am Tuesday in Faith Lutheran Church in Marion. Rev. John Albertson will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 8 PM Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, and at the church after 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
Surviving to honor his memory are his wife of 52 years Shelia, their children, John E. and wife Dianna of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Chrystal Strauss of Cedar Rapids, Pamela Bennett and husband Russ of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Gene Moody and wife JoDee of Cedar Rapids, two sisters Helyn Allard and husband Robert of Urbana, and Dee Williams of Farmville, Virginia, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, , four brothers, and two sisters.
John was born December 28, 1927 in Salida, Colorado, to Thomas and Rosa Rutledge Williams. He married
Shelia Nelson on April 27, 1957 in Elkport, Iowa. He was a machine shop supervisor for Rockwell Collins for 38 years.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marion, and an avid fisherman.
A memorial fund has been established in John’s name.
