Linda McClain Domke
Linda McClain Domke, 48, of Sioux City died Friday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Faith Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.
Alice A. Korth
Alice A. Korth, 81, of Sioux City died Friday at the Indian Hills Care Center following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Donald E. Limoges
Donald E. Limoges, 77, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 21, 1997, at a local hospital, following a brief illness.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Clifford Mehrer, Elder of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Burial will be in Civil Bend Cemetery, rural Jefferson, S.D. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Limoges was born Oct. 15, 1919, at Vermillion, S.D., to Charles and Aldia (Dandurand). He attended Jefferson Community Schools. He married Lenore V. Thompson June 7, 1941, at Pender, Neb. The couple made their home in Sioux City. She died July 27, 1994, at Sioux City. He was an avid fisherman, was a ham radio operator and had mastered several levels of advancement. He was a mechanic/transmission specialist for Viegan and Hoak Oldsmobile Motors for over 42 years, where he received several awards for outstanding services. He then operated his own business, Limoges Automotive, retiring in 1982.
He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a past member and president of the Isaac Walton League. He was a regular member and harmoica player for the South Sioux City Senior Citizens Center Band. He was also an active member of the Sioux City West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnessess for the last 46 years.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Donald A. and Betty of Urich, Mo.; two daughters and their husbands, Patty and Roy Carrell and Diane and Carl Springfield, all of Sioux City; three brothers and their wives, Richard and Betty, Louis and Dorothy, Charles and Darlene; a sister and her husband, Lucille and Phil Corio; five grandsons, Craig and Jason Carrell, Nathan Springfield, Donnie Limoges, and Al Moncowitz; six granddaughters, Rhonda Eberhardt, Jennifer, Danielle, and Nikki Barth, Sandy Bridgewater, and Vickie Moncowitz; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vincent; and a sister, Agnes Girard.
Pallbearers include Kip Jarman, Marty Huisman, Gary Golden, Ronnie Thompson, Roger Merryman, and Bob Bertrand.
Mary Matsushige
Mary L. Matsushige, 51, of Sioux City died Friday at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Indian Mission. Burial will be in Winnebago, Neb. Traditional wake service and visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today and continue until service time Wednesday at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Bradley S. Price
Bradley S. Price, 28, of Sioux City died Friday at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness of leukemia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer-Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the funeral home.
Roy E. Stevens
Roy E. Stevens, 77, of Sioux City died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Kretzchmar of Whitfield United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Stevens was born Nov. 10, 1919, at Centerville, S.D., to Hiram and Eva (Parker). He was raised in Centerville and moved to Sioux City in 1940. He married Dorothy D. Hoekman April 27, 1944, at Sioux City. He worked at Fairmonts Food until their closing. He worked for Holdcorft Trucking Co. and then for Midwest Cartage Co., retiring in 1981. He then worked for Marx Truck Lines and Siouxland Auto Auction.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Rita and Jerry Reistroffer of Sioux City; four sons, LeRoy and his wife Ellen of Storm Lake, Iowa, Charles and his wife Lorraine of Linnwood, Wash., Clyde and his wife Susan, and Keith, all of Sioux City; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bennie; a sister, Dorothy; a granddaughter, Michelle; and a grandson, Shane.

Arthur W. Weltz
Arthur W. Weltz, 86, of Sioux City died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at a local hospital, following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Weltz was born Nov. 17, 1910, at Anamoose, N.D., to John and Louise. He married Florence H. Theison Nov. 2, 1935, at Elk Point, S.D. He worked at Cudahy's Packing until it's closing. He then worked for the U.S. Meat Grading Service until 1970. He then went into partnership with his son in Chef's Delite, Inc., retiring in 1980. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling.
He was a former president of the Everett School PTA and a former Boy Scout leader at the school.
Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Michael and Mary of Sioux City; eight grandchildren, Bill, John, Jim, and Donald Brophy, Mike and Kelly Weltz, Laura Arnold, and Raquel Beubian; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Brophy; and three sisters, Edna Nolan, Ida Reitzer, and Martha Wohel.
Pallbearers include the grandchildren.
Helen A. Austin
ELK POINT, S.D. - Helen A. Austin, 86, of rural Elk Point died Saturday at her residnece following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point. Burial will be in Elk Point cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Monday, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Leroy Cooper
WAKEFIELD, Neb. - Leroy Cooper, 83, of Wakefield died Saturday, March 22, 1997, at his residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wakefield, with the Rev. Bruce Schut officiating. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Bressler-Humlicek Funeral Home in Wakefield.
Mr. Cooper was born May 7, 1913, at Walthill, Neb., to Thomas and Amelia (Cole). He attended the rural school. He operated a trucking business at Walthill and then moved to Nevada to work in the mines. He later worked for a dairy farm operation at Mcgill, Nev. He married Ella Williamson Dec. 14, 1938, at Ely, Nev. The couple came to Wakefield in 1944, where they farmed until retirement. He also worked at the M.G. Waldbaum farm for ten years.
He was a baptized member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife at home; three daughters and their husbands, Dorothy and Donald Hanks of Rosalie, Neb., Violet and Bob Schott of Gordon, Neb., Mary and Larry Baker of Wakefield; three sons and their wives, Leroy Jr. and Jean of Gering, Neb., George and Susan of Allen, Neb., Norman and Susan of Garretson, S.D.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers and their wives, Cecil and Hazel of Independence, Iowa, Kenneth and Betty of South Sioux City, Chuck and Jean of Morganville, N.J., Ronald and Francis of Jackson, Neb.; five sisters and their husbands, Lavern and Lloyd Cox of Dakota City, Hazel and Gerald Perrin, Helen and Burdette Philips, Mary Lou and Harold Broderson, all of Sioux City, and Almelia Klein and Roger Mayer of Alton, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Melba of Bancroft, Neb., and Edith of Glousester, Va.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Harold, Cecil, Glenn, Clifford, and Gene; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

AKRON, Iowa - Mary J. Malcom, 74, of Akron died Friday at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Akron. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Benjamin F. McClure
ONAWA, Iowa - Benjamin Franklin McClure, 60, of Onawa died Friday, March 21, 1997, at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. The body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McClure was born August 9, 1936, at Whiting, Iowa, to Franklin and Eva (Mulvaney). He graduated from Onawa High School in 1956. He married Ila Deen Wilson Dec. 27, 1968. He was employed as a crane operator for Fagen, Leighton and Borchman construction companies, retiring due to ill health.
He was a member of Local 571 B of the International of Operating Engineers Union, AFL-CIO.
Survivors include his wife of Onawa; three sons, Robert J. and his wife LeAnn of Turin, Iowa, Edward R. of Loveland, Colo., and Carey E. of Onawa; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia I. and Darrell Allen of Castana, Iowa, Gerri L. and Kurt Lyons of Sioux City; two stepsons, Lonnie Wilson of Underwood, Iowa, Harvey and his wife Lana Wilson of Turin; two stepdaughters, Jamie Westby of Overland Park, Kan., Claudyne and her husband Bob Howard of Sioux City; three grandsons, Michael, Mitchell, and Matthew; six granddaughters, Bobbie Sherer, Shellie McClure, Corinna Rayevich, Stacy, Sandy, and Nina Allen, and Carolyn Lyons; five stepgrandsons, John, Joseph, Jacob, and Devin Wilson, and Adam Howard; three stepgranddaughters, Christina and Taylor Wilson, and Elizabeth Howard; and a great-grandson.
Darrell D. Roepke
LE MARS, Iowa - Darrell Dean Roepke Jr., 47, of Le Mars died unexpectedly Thursday, March 20, 1997, at Le Mars following an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA at Le Mars, with the Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hinton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Mr. Roepke was born Nov. 8, 1949, at Kingsley, Iowa, to Darrel E. and Charlene (Oltmans). He attended Kingsley High School. He drove truck for several years and did carpentry work. He married Glenda Ruhland July 29, 1972, at Neptune, Iowa. He married Teresa Schell April 22, 1989, at Le Mars. For the past five years, he has been a salesman for Lamperts Lumber Company in Le Mars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and shooting pool.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church ELCA, Le Mars F.O.E. (Eagles Club), Le Mars Sportsman Club, and the Tuesday Night Bowling group.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa of Le Mars; his parents of Hinton; a son, Darin of Le Mars; four daughters, Karlene and her husband Dennis Stabe, Mindi, and Amie, all of Merrill, Iowa, and Emily of Le Mars; a stepson, Scott Flewelling of Le Mars; two stepdaughters, Angie and Jeni Flewelling of Le Mars; a brother and his wife, Gary and Carole of Merrill; two sisters, Pam Stoltze of Hinton, Iowa, and Jerelyn and her husband Jerry Dahl of Arlington, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mark Stoltze.
Viora B. Stahly
YANKTON, S.D. - Viora B. Stahly, 81, of Yankton died Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Services and visitation were Saturday at the Ray-Lane Funeral Chapel in Yankton, with the Rev. O.K. Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Bluff View Cemetery at Vermillion, S.D.
Mrs. Stahly was born April 18, 1915, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Clarence and Blanche (Westholm) James. She grew up in Pocahontas, Iowa, and graduated from Pocahontas High School. She attended A Business School in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Daryle Stahly Sept. 23, 1935, at Pocahontas. The couple lived in Armour, S.D., and then Vermillion for 18 years. He died in 1974. She has lived in Yankton for the past 18 years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Golf, both in Vermillion, and various bridge clubs in Yankton.
Survivors include two sons, James of Yankton and Nick of Chugiak, Alaska; two daughters and their husbands, Sondra and Derwin Jones of Atlanta, and Joan and Larry Vied of Cave Creek, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Jack of Darien, Conn., Virgil and Bob, both of Ocala, Fla., Howard of Lake Bluff, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a son; a sister; and a grandson.
Pallbearers were Rob Stahly, Robert and Michael Vied, Scott and Stuart Jones, and Duane Tucker.
Marilyn Taylor
LE MARS, Iowa - Marilyn Ann Taylor, 66, of rural Le Mars died Friday, March 21, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Plymouth Presbyterian Church, rural Le Mars, with the Rev. Randy Knuth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor was born Dec. 5, 1930, at Wayne, Neb., to R. Lyle and Anna (Granquist) Gamble. She spent her childhood in Wayne and graduated from Wayne High School. She attended Wayne State Teachers College. She married Ralph Taylor July 15, 1951, at Wayne. The couple had lived on a farm west of Le Mars for many years.
She was a member of First Plymouth Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained Elder, Sunday school teacher, and church organist. She was active in the United Presbyterian Women, was chosen in 1997 as a delegate to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., had attended Walk to Emmaus, and had been a moderator of the Presbyterian Synodical Board. She was also an accomplished pianist and vocalist, singing in many area musicals and soloing at many events.
Survivors include her husband of Le Mars; three daughters, Debra Stoos, Jill Taylor and her husband Steven Oetken, all of Omaha, Neb., and Lisa and her husband James Greenfield of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three brothers and their wives, Stanley and Anna Gamble of Elkton, Va., Lyle and Joyce Gamble of Seward, Neb., Bill and Pat Gamble of Broken Bow, Neb.; a sister and her husband, Janice and Loren Ellis of Wayne; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lori Tooker; a sister, Lois; and two brothers, Kenneth and Darrell.

CROFTON, Neb. - Leona Mary Thunker, 82, of Crofton died Saturday at the Bloomfield Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Bloomfield, Neb.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Crofton. Burial will be in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery at Crofton. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 8 p.m., all at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton.

LE MARS, Iowa - Leona Yates, 84, of Le Mars died Saturday at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church ELCA in Le Mars. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Kenneth E. Zellmer
MOVILLE, Iowa - Kenneth Edward Zellmer, 66, of Moville died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 19, 1997, at Moville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, with the Rev. Michael Kroona officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville. Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Zellmer was born April 18, 1930, at Sioux City to Edmund G. and Emma (Balk). He was baptized May 25, 1930, and confirmed July 23, 1944, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville. He was raised and lived all his life in Moville, attended Moville Number 6 country school, graduating as Valedictorian from Moville High School in 1947. He worked in agriculture on the family farm with his father and had an interest in gardening and raising flowers. He cared for his house-bound mother in her later years. He was known as the "Movie Man" around Moville. For the last several years he has provided video recordings of funerals, weddings, concerts, and confirmations to families.
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, was active in choirs, Luther League, the organ building committee, and held various offices. In recent years he had developed a church service video tape ministry for the congregation's shut-ins. He was an Army veteran, served in the Occupation Force in Germany during Korean War.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Minona of St. Ansgar, Iowa; two nieces, Kristin Brown of Hudson, Iowa and Heidi of Charles City, Iowa; and two nephews, Mark of LaCrosse, Wis., and Joel of Libert Lake, Wash.
John M. Elsasser
STORM LAKE, Iowa - John M. Elsasser, 83, of Storm Lake died Friday at the Methodist Manor Care Center in Storm Lake, following a brief illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hanover. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Tuesday, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Fratzke Funeral Home in Storm Lake.
