Freeman H. Donovan
Freeman H. Donovan, 92, of Sioux City died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in McCook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the Berkemier Funeral Home.

Lucille F. Lewis
Lucille F. Lewis, 89, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at a Sioux City nursing home following a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with the Rev. John W. Meyer, pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lewis was born July 13, 1908, in Sioux City, the daughter of Thomas Patrick and Anna (Stoltze) Ford. She attended East High School.

She married Donald A. Lewis on June 27, 1934, in Hartington, Neb. He died April 21, 1960, in Sioux City. She was employed with Bishops and then a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Doug and Barbara of Sioux City; a sister, Dorothy Jones of Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, Woody and Dorothy Ford of Sioux City and Louis and Maxine Ford of Kent, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Oleson.

Pallbearers will be Rex Mehrhoff, Al and Robert Lewis, Michael Taylor, and Michael and Patrick Ford.

Harold J. Nielsen
Harold J. Nielsen, 74, of Sioux City died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Bancroft, Neb. City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.

Anne Seaton
Anne Seaton, 78, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, in Littleton, Colo., following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bidney, pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Seaton was born April 17, 1919, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Stella (Seradinski) Micauchik. She attended Sioux City schools.

She married Lowell Eugene Seaton in October 1936, in Alexandria, S.D. He died Dec. 26, 1984, in Sioux City. They lived in Omaha, Neb. from 1962 to 1978, then returned to Sioux City from 1978 to 1996. She moved to Colorado in 1996. She was employed with Armour and Company and then was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Barb and Don Hanneman of Highland Ranch, Colo.; a son and his wife, Darrell and Betty of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Baird of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lowell E. Jr. and David.

Pallbearers will be Greg, Todd and Troy Seaton, Pat Fahmie, Joel Cutler and David Parks.

Anna Mae Baker, 75, of Sioux City died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997; Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.

Exie Barker
SPENCER, Iowa - Exie Barker, 86, of Spencer died Tuesday at the St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Friday, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Mildred M. Davis
ONAWA, Iowa - Mildred M. Davis, 81, of Onawa died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in Onawa City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Davis was born April 10, 1916, in Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of Claude and Anna Belle (Holstlaw) Huff. She was raised in the Blencoe area and graduated from Blencoe High School in 1934.

She married Lee Davis on July 24, 1933, in Le Mars, Iowa. He died Oct. 17, 1994, in Onawa. She was employed with Moon's Variety, Onawa Rexal Drug and Stangel Pharmacy.

She was a member of First Christian Church, the church womens group, the Friendship Birthday Club and the American Legion Auxiliary 129.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Beverly and Roland Moore of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Charles and Patricia of Elk River, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Paul Huff.

Cuba Deppe
STORM LAKE, Iowa - Cuba Deepe, 98, of Storm Lake died Tuesday at the Buena Vista Manor Care Center.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Fratzke Funeral Home in Storm Lake.

Margaret M. Harder
PONCA, Neb. - Margaret M. Harder, 89, of Ponca died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at the Elms Health Care Center in Ponca.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponca, with the Rev. James Bartak officiating. Burial will be in Calvary at South Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca. Visitation will resume at 6 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Harder was born Feb. 17, 1908, in South Creek, the daughter of John and Katie (Schuder) Weber. She attended school in South Creek.

She married Rudolph Harder on Sept. 27, 1927, near Ponca. The couple farmed for 48 years near Ponca. In 1975, they retired and moved to Ponca. He died Dec. 17, 1977.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a past president of the St. Joseph Altar Society. She was a former member of the Farmer's Union Organization, the dance clubs, the Silvercreek Community Club and the Ponca Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie and her husband Dick Harison of Ponca and Joanne Rahn of Allen, Neb.; a son and his wife, David and Karen of Ponca; a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Harder of Ponca; a sister-in-law, Margaret Weber of Norfolk, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; a son-in-law, Paul Rahn; a sister, Mary Roeser; and six brothers, John, Leo, Frank, Charlie, Nick and Victor.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Aubby Voss, Bill Wilson, Ray Brentlinger, Gary, Terry and David Rahn, Roger Kraft, Greg Harder and Steve Brinkmann.

Marie Hix
STORM LAKE, Iowa - Marie Hix, 86, of Storm Lake died Wednesday at the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, Iowa. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Cemetery at Storm Lake. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Beulah Jacobs
SHELDON, Iowa - Beulah Jacobs, 95, of Sheldon died Tuesday at the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn, Iowa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sheldon United Methodist Church. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon. Visitation will resume at 12:30 p.m. today until service time at the church.

Alta M. Jump
WALTHILL, Iowa - Alta M. Jump, 83, of Walthill died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at the Regency Square Nursing Center in South Sioux City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, with the Rev. Brion Tolzman officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Decatur, Neb. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Walthill.

Mrs. Jump was born Feb. 11, 1914, in Decatur, the daughter of James and Maggie (Harmon) Young. She married Albert "Hoot" Jump on April 17, 1933. The couple moved to Decatur, where they lived for one year. Then they moved to a farm near Macy, Neb. unitl 1953. They moved into Walthill in 1974, and lived there until 1990.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Tony and Iris of Homer, Neb. and Daniel and Vickie of Walthill; three daughters, Connie and Peggy Jump, both of Decatur and Judy and her husband Glenn Robinson of Walthill; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Vern Young of Council Bluffs, Iowa, George Young of Walthill and Pat Young of Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James; two grandchildren, David and Gerald; seven brothers; and a sister.

Bradley Maryatt
GAYVILLE, S.D. - Bradley Maryatt, 82, of Gayville died Tuesday at the Dakota Care Center in Vermillion, S.D.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home in Vermillion. Burial will be in Gayville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.

William T. Orr
BURBANK, S.D. - William Thomas Orr, 37, of Burbank died Wednesday, Nov, 19, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ in Vermillion, S.D. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the church. Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Orr was born July 27, 1960, in Sioux City, the son of William and Constance (Case) Orr. He graduated from South Sioux City High School.

He married Andrea Rosenbaum on Aug. 23, 1986, in Elk Point, S.D. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed in the receiving department of Gateway 2000.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin of Johnston, Iowa and Bradly of Burbank; two daughters, Brittany and Nicole, both of Burbank; his mother and stepfather, Connie and Monty Woolhiser of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Lori and Scott Sanford of Sacramento, Calif.; and his grandmother, Lucille Orr of Burbank.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather.

Helen Rath
VERMILLION, S.D. - Helen "Namie" Rath, 84, of Vermillion died unexpectedly Wednesday at the Dakota Hospital in Vermillion.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Pierre, S.D. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.

Wesley H. Seymour
LAKE VIEW, Iowa - Wesley H. Seymour, 89, of Lake View died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at the Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View, with the Rev. Marcia F. Sangel officiating. Burial will be in Wall Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View.

Mr. Seymour was born Sept. 29, 1908, in Soldier, Iowa, the son of Henry J. and Matilda (Schroeder) Seymour. He attended rural school and graduated from Lawton, Iowa High School in 1928. He received his bachlor's degree in animal husbandry from Iowa State University in 1932.

He married Marjorie Irwin on June 27, 1935, in Lake View. He taught vocational agriculture in Story City, Iowa from 1933 to 1936 and in Spencer, Iowa from 1936 to 1939. He was in farm management from 1939 to 1942. In January 1943, he began farming near Lake View. In the fall of 1963, he returned to teaching VoAg, retiring from the Garner, Iowa High School in 1974. The couple returned to Lake View and ran an upholstry shop.

He had been the president of the Sac County Farm Bureau and the Sac County Board of Education. He was a member of the State Board of Directors of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and the Lakes United Methodist Church. He enjoyed family geneology and sports.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Eugene and his wife Norma of Libertyville, Ill., Lon and his wife Karen of Holly Springs, N.C., Jon of Florissant, Colo. and Bruce and his wife Diane of Dallas Center, Iowa; two daughters, Gloria and her husband Dennis Bromley of Lake View and Cynthia Seymour of Alameda, Calif.; a sister, Irene Carr of Lake View; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
