Dorothy A. Lenzen
Dorothy A. Lenzen, 88, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Wednesday at Wayne Medical Center in Wayne, Neb.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Stephanie Lynn Radtke-Griffith, 19, of Sioux City, died Friday; Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Verna Bouma
HULL, Iowa - Verna (Oostenink) Bouma, 70, of Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Hull, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, in Grand Rapids.
Services were held in Grand Rapids on Aug. 28, 1998. Burial was in Edgerton, Minn. Stroo Funeral Home of Grand Rapids was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Oostenink was born April 27, 1928, in Hull, the daughter of Gerritt and Hattie (Rikkers) Oostenink. She married Wally Bouma Aug. 22, 1952, in Hull. He died in 1967 in Edgerton.
Survivors include two sons, Leron Paul of Grand Rapids and Bill of Santa Clara, Calif.; two daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Brian Chapman and Janna and Mark Hasselbring of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Alethea Ingersoll and Zac Chapman; three sisters, Bonnie Geels of Sheldon, Iowa, and Garneth and Lorraine Oostenink, both of Sioux City; a brother, Dr. William Oostenink and his wife, Gretchen, of Hamilton, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Glenn G. Miltenberger
SLOAN, Iowa - Glenn G. Miltenberger, 62, of Sloan died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at United Congregational Church in Sloan. Burial will be in Sloan Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.
Mr. Miltenberger was born May 25, 1936, in Whiting, Iowa, the son of Roy and Winifred (Yarnall) Miltenberger. He graduated from Sloan High School in 1954.
He married Mary L. Tippens on Nov. 11, 1956, in Sloan. The couple farmed near Sloan.
He served in the Air National Guard for eight years. He was a member of United Congregational Church, where he served as deacon and on the board of trustees. He was a member of Attica Masonic Lodge 502 A.F.&A.M. As a member of Sloan and Experimental Aircraft Association, he built his own plane.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Michael and Kristin of Sloan and Roger and Lesta of Sergeant Bluff; a daughter and her husband, Sandy and Allan Shattuck of Marshfield, Mo.; five grandsons, Joshua, David, Benjamin, Alex and Jacob; and two sisters and their husbands, Vivian and Leland Allen of Onawa, Iowa, and Virginia and Niels Jensen of Glidden, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Herbert, Ralph and Wayne.
Danielle D. Withee
WHITING, Iowa - Danielle Dawn Withee, 9, of Whiting died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Whiting Commuity School Auditorium. Burial will be in Whiting Cemetery. Visitation was Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Iowa.
Danielle was born June 30, 1989, in Sioux City, the daughter of Donald and Patti (Collison) Withee Jr. She was a student at Whiting Community School, where she had completed the third grade.
She was a member of Whiting Church of Christ, Kids for Christ, Brownies, Girl Scouts of America Troop 476 and River Runners soccer and softball teams. She enjoyed music, art and her pets.
Survivors include her parents of Whiting; two sisters, Nicole and Andrea Vaughn of Whiting; her grandparents, Donald Withee Sr. and John and Mary Collison, all of Sloan; maternal great-grandmother, Celia Holverson of Whiting; paternal great-grandmother, Dagma Smith of Ainsworth, Neb; and five uncles, John Collison Jr. and Bob, Mike, Gary and David Withee.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Thelma Withee.
Janet E. Mauer
LAKE VIEW, Iowa - Janet E. Mauer, 61, of Lake View, died Thursday Aug. 27, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sac City, Iowa, with the Rev. Rick Suggitt and the Rev. H. W. Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.
Mrs. Campbell was born June 10, 1937, in Sac City, the daughter of Russell and Clara "Dolly" (Wirtjers) Campbell. She graduated from Sac City High School and attended banking school in Omaha, Neb.
She married Carl Mauer on Nov. 16, 1957, in Sac City. They lived in Sac City and spent summers in Lake View. They moved to Lake View permanently in 1985.
She worked for five years at Sac City State Bank after high school. She was the bookkeeper and co-owner of Mauer Excavation and Tiling. The couple also taught dance lessons for many years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Lakewood Country Liners in Lake View. She enjoyed swimming, boating and dancing.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Lynn Mohr of Auburn, Iowa; two sons, Marty and his wife, Lori, and Russell and his special friend, Karen Free, all of Lake View; five grandchildren; and a sister and her husband, Myrna and Jack Jennett of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ida M. Rosenbaum
ELK POINT, S.D. - Ida M. Rosenbaum, 91, of Elk Point died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998, at Morningside Manor in Alcester, S.D.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point with the Rev. N. Richard Weikert officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Point Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point and will continue with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Rosenbaum was born Nov. 24, 1906, in the Spink, S.D., area, the daughter of Gust and Sarah (Olson) Strand.
She married Howard Rosenbaum Aug. 14, 1926, in Vermillion, S.D. They farmed in rural Elk Point until 1948, when they moved to Elk Point. He died June 28, 1959, in Yankton, S.D.
She was employed at Curtis Action Door in Sioux City, Jacob Bakery in Elk Point, Anderson Cafe in Elk Point, and as a nanny for Dr. Black in Sioux City. She also was a caregiver for Julia Clifford in Vermillion for 12 years, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point and was active in several church circles. She was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxillary in Elk Point.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Russell and Janet and Randy and Norma, all of Elk Point; seven daughters, LaVonne and her husband, Amos Bensen, of Vermillion, Norriene and her husband, Howard Bergum of Elk Point, Corriene and her husband, Cecil Horton, of Akron, Iowa, Virginia and her husband, LeRoy Sundleaf, of Elk Point, Donna and her husband, Marvin Simons of South Sioux City, Ruth Wirkus of Linn Grove, Iowa, and Darlene and her husband, Richard Harrison, of Sioux City; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Rosenbaum of Elk Point; 40 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcella; two sons, Orville and Richard; a great-grandson; a great-great-granddaughter; two brothers; and a sister.

SUTHERLAND, Iowa - Joseph Montgomery, 84, of Sutherland died Thursday at Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, Iowa.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland. Burial will be in Waterman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at Warner Funeral Home in Sutherland.

DENISON, Iowa - Dorothy L. Dahleen, 89, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, formerly of Crawford County (Iowa), died Wednesday at Expo Health Care Center in Fort Dodge.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison. Interment will be in the Deloit Cemetery in Deloit, Iowa.

SIBLEY, Iowa - Ida Ver Steeg, 92, of Sibley died Thursday at Country View Manor in Sibley.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Reformed Church of Sibley. Burial will be in Holman Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. at Walton, Roste and Vogel Funeral Home in Sibley.

SCHLESWIG, Iowa - Edwin Rusch, 81, of Schleswig died Friday at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Church of Christ in Schleswig. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig.
Earl H. Sargent
AKRON, Iowa - Earl H. Sargent, 93, of Remsen, Iowa, formerly of Akron and Le Mars, Iowa, died Thursday at Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen following a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was Friday.

ODEBOLT, Iowa - Leslie M. Fertig, 77, of Odebolt died Thursday at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Odebolt. Burial with full military graveside rites conducted by Roose Post 131 of the American Legion will be in Odebolt Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
Carl Adams
ALLEN, Neb. - Carl Adams, 92, of Allen died Thursday at Pender Community Hospital, in Pender, Neb.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bressler Humlicek Funeral Home in Wakefield, Neb. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tibertius Hoffman
JEFFERSON, S.D. - Tibertius "Joe" Hoffman, 77, of Jefferson died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1998, at Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, S.D., following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. Andrew Swietochowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 134. Visitation was Friday. Berkemier Funeral Home of Sioux City is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hoffman was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Jefferson, the son of Frank and Thalia (Fountain) Hoffman. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1938.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He farmed in Jefferson for many years.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and American Legion Post 134. He was a former member of St. Dominic Club and Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include three brothers and their wives, Francis "Bud" and Agnes and Dean and Karen, all of Jefferson, and Clyde and Pat of North Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Victor and Kevin Hoffman, Brian and Corey Hoffman, Justin Wagner and Dan Honomichl.
