Jack W. Semsker
Jack W. Semsker, 99, of Sioux City died Friday at a Sioux City nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in Mount Sinai Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Arthur M. Anderson
Arthur M. Anderson, 93, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Tim Blanchard of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. today in Chancellor Baptist Cemetery, Chancellor, S.D.

Mr. Anderson was born July 25, 1905, in Worthing, S.D., the son of Andres and Johanna (Meiborg) Anderson.

He married Grace Johnson on Dec. 29, 1939, in Chancellor. She died Nov. 11, 1975. The couple lived in South Dakota until moving to Sioux City in 1951. He was employed as a foreman with Milwaukee Railroad. He was also employed as a meat cutter with various grocery stores.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed golfing and wintering in Phoenix, Ariz.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Daryl and Vicki of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren, Melinda Baker and David Anderson; a great-granddaughter; three sisters, Louise Fowles of Hudson, S.D., Ella Struck of Lennox, S.D., and Ada and her husband, Leon Hansen, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam; and two sisters, Marion Hoover and Alice Frahm.

Pallbearers will be James Brygger Jr., Gary Wright, Larry Lindstrom, Dr. Daniel Rumberger, Dennis Munch and Dale Erwin.

Memorials in his name may be directed to Central Baptist Church.

James E. Huigens
James E. Huigens, 82, of Sioux City died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Casa de Paz.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Richter officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 6 to 9 p.m. and a Scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Huigens was born Nov. 19, 1916, in Creighton, Neb., the son of Edward John and Theresa (Sieler) Huigens. He graduated from St. Ludger High School in Creighton. He moved to Sioux City in 1939.

He married Jeanette Anderson on Sept. 13, 1941, in Sioux City. She died May 28, 1987, in South Sioux City. He was employed with Kaplan Wholesale Grocery for 28 years.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Teamsters Union.

Survivors include a son and his wife, John and Carol of Sioux City; four daughters, Jeanne and her husband, Glenn Biggerstaff, Joanne and her husband, Brad Blair, and Jackie and her husband, Ed Fries, all of Sioux City and Jane Dotson of Arvada, Colo.; three brothers, Wilford of Creighton, Paul of Plainview, Neb., and Dean of Claremont, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Ann Hamilton of Lincoln, Neb., and Betty Timm of Norfolk, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother and a brother-in-law.

Ronald E. Delier
Ronald Eugene Delier, 69, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Berkemier Funeral Home, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Cremation will follow the service Monday. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Delier was born May 11, 1929, in Sioux City, the son of Arthur and Laura (Hauge) Delier. He attended Sioux City schools.

He married Doris Gieberger on July 9, 1949, in Sioux City. He was employed by the Sioux City School Board for 37 years, retiring in 1991.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for four years and enjoyed CB radio, gardening and auto work.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry K. of Sheldon, Iowa, and Michael E. and his wife, Francene, of Sioux City; and a grandson, Michael G. Delier.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert James.

Pallbearers will be Michael E. and Michael G. Delier, Glen Chesley, Bob and George Watkins.

SPENCER, Iowa - Greta B. Dannatt, 82, of Spencer died Thursday at Milford Nursing Center in Milford, Iowa.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Little Sioux Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial will be in Little Sioux Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Harold P. Molgaard
BANCROFT, Neb. - Harold P. "Butch" Molgaard, 66, of Bancroft died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Private family graveside services will be held today in Bancroft Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home of Pender, Neb.

Brandon Steinhoff
ANTHON, Iowa - Brandon Steinhoff, 25, of Anthon died Thursday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Oto, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Anthon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Vernon Viergutz
RANDOLPH, Neb. - Vernon Viergutz, 77, of Randolph died Thursday at Colonial Manor in Randolph.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Frances Catholic Church in Randolph. Burial will be in St. Frances Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph.

Paul W. Minten
ALTON, Iowa - Paul W. Minten, 66, of Alton died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Orange City Municipal Hospital in Orange City, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, with the Rev. James Tigges, Alton, and Monsignor Nicholas J. Ruba, Remsen, Iowa, officiaiting. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with a St. Mary's Rosary Society rosary at 3 p.m. a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8 p.m., all at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, Iowa.

Mr. Minten was born April 28, 1932, in rural Alton, the son of Sylvester and Rose (Pottebaum) Minten. He was raised in the Alton area and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1949. He was then a farm labor in the Remsen area.

He married Rita Buckley on Sept. 25, 1951, in Alton. The couple lived near Kingsley, Iowa, where they farmed until 1965, when they moved to a farm near Remsen. In 1974, they moved to a farm near Alton. He was employed as a night supervisor at K-Products in Orange City from 1975 to 1989.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Remsen.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, David of Austin, Texas, Daniel and his wife, Alicia, adn Lyle and his wife, Julie, all of Sibley, Iowa, John and his wife, Donna, of Auburn, Neb., Matt of Lincoln, Neb., and Mark and his wife, Lanae, of Fresno, Calif.; six daughters, Janet and her husband, Roger Hartman, of Gibbon, Minn., Jolene Meusburger of Springboro, Ohio, Lori and her husband, Robert Stoll, of Alton, Lynn and her husband, Kevin Poen, of Lake City, Iowa, Deb and her husband, Dave Cooper, of Sioux City and Mary Minten of Laurens, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; a great-grandson; six sisters and their husbands, Esther and James MacClure of Onawa, Iowa, Rosemary and Bill O'Gara of Dakota City, Edith and Vernon Staab and Ethel and Lyle Heidesch, all of Remsen, Helen and Fred Shockey of Winnebago, Neb., and Carol and James Schemmel of Shawnee, Kan.; and three brothers, Marvin and his wife, Doris, of Parker, Colo., Lloyd of Alton and Harold and his wife, Martha, of North Pontomac, Md.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph.
