Ida L. Farran
Ida L. Farran, 79, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at a Sioux City retirement facility.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. John Meyer and the Rev. Kathy Wicks officiating. Burial will be prior to the service in Graceland Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Mrs. Farran was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Sioux City, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Ewert) Hageman.
She married Raymond Farran on Jan. 30, 1946, in Sioux City. He died June 26, 1968.
She was employed as a waitress with Indian Hills Sunshine Cafeteria for many years.
She was a member of Trintiy Lutheran Church and various organizations in the church. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Greg Askeland and Lynn "Bitsy" and Steve Corrie, all of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Katy and Eric Askeland and Elizabeth and Michael Corrie; a brother and his wife, Everett and Delores Hageman of Sioux City; and two sisters, Lillian Olson of Moville, Iowa, and Viola Junck of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin "Buck", Herman and William Hageman; and a sister, Marie Zenor.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Trinty Lutheran Church, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center or Shrine Childrens Hospital.
Joyce I. Wahl
Joyce I. Wahl, 81, of Sioux City, formerly of Lawton, Iowa, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with Chaplain Susan Miller of Hospice of Siouxland officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wahl was born Nov. 21, 1917, in Sioux City, the daughter of Magnus B. and Anna (Heinricks) Anderson.
She graduated from Lawton High School and Buena Vista College. She taught in rural Lawton schools for two years.
She married Gerrold Wahl on Dec. 31, 1936, in Elk Point, S.D. He died Nov. 27, 1969, in Sioux City.
She was employed as a advertising manager for Sears for 24 years, retiring in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Gary of Riverside, Mo.; a daughter and her husband, Colene and Dave Cisneros of Castaic, Calif.; two brothers, Bruce Anderson and his wife, Annie, and Lyle "Bud" Anderson, all of Lawton; four grandchildren, Cathy Williams, Bill and Nicole Wahl and Chris Cisneros; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Frahm.

Harold J.Richardson, 72, of Sioux City died Wednesday; Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Walter Husted
UTE, Iowa - Walter Husted, 90, of Ute died Monday at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

SCHLESWIG, Iowa - Jolene Beeck, 58, of Schleswig died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig.
Keith G. Reinhardt
DOW CITY, Iowa - Keith G. Reinhardt, 75, of Dow City died Wednesday at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dow City. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Clay Center Cemetery, Guttenburg, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Pfannebecker Funeral Home of Denison.
Della Blankespoor
HULL, Iowa - Della Blankespoor, 87, of Hull died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hope Christian Reformed Church in Hull, with the Rev. Aldon Kuiper officiating. Burial will be prior to the service in Hope Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blankespoor was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Hull, the daughter of Ralph and Minnie (Gritters) Brunsting. She was raised on a farm near Hull.
She married Henry G. Blankespoor on Dec. 30, 1936, in Hull. The couple farmed in the Hull and Boyden, Iowa area, until retiring and moving into Hull in 1986. He died Feb. 11, 1987, in Rock Valley, Iowa.
She was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church, Sunshine Club of the Hull Christian School, Circle of Hope, Coffee Break and Meals on Wheels. She also volunteered at Pleasant Acres.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Gilbert and Janice of Sioux Falls, S.D., Harvey and Marlene of Holland, Mich., and Ronald and Wendy of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters and their husbands, Marlene and Ken Wynkoop of Denver, Colo., Hilene and Gary Westra of Hull and Sharon and Marvin Addink of Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Brunsting of Rock Valley and Larry Brunsting of Newago, Mich.; and three sisters, Margaret Blankespoor of Wyoming and Louise Van Aller and Edith Vis, both of Grandville, Mich.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Brunsting, and four brothers, Albert and John Brunsting and Farer and John as infants.
Pearl Severson
VERMILLION, S.D. - Pearl Severson, 90, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Vermillion and Elk Point, S.D., died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998, at Covington Heights Care Center in Sioux Falls.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in Bluff View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and the family present following the service, at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
Mrs. Severson was born Feb. 13, 1908, in Civil Bend Township in Union County in South Dakota, the daughter of Charles and Adele (La Voie) Rosenbaum.
She was raised in the Elk Point area and attended country school. She helped her family on the farm.
She married Jess Severson on Dec. 24, 1927, in Elk Point. The couple farmed near Vermillion from 1927 until his death Feb. 19, 1979. She continued to farm until 1981.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was president of the church auxiliary, and Busy Fingers Home Extension Club. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Ron and Kathleen of Mound View, Minn.; a daughter, Dorothy Ecker of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Emma Beuchler and Evelyn Coates, both of Sioux City; six granddaughters, Diane (Ecker) Jankord, Debra (Ecker) Maniaci, Dorothy (Ecker) Dupper, Dawn (Ecker) Nelson, Donna Ecker and Sharon (Severson) Egan; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Carolyn Harris
SPENCER, Iowa - Carolyn Siebrecht Harris, 52, of Spencer died Wednesday at Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.
Helen Paulsen
ANTHON, Iowa - Helen Paulsen, 86, of Anthon died Thursday at Correctionville (Iowa) Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Walter E. Dunham
AKRON, Iowa - Walter E. Dunham, 83, of Elk Point, S.D. died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Gordon R. Rosecrans
PRIMGHAR, Iowa - Gordon R. Rosecrans, 89, of Primghar died Tuesday at Primghar Care Center.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Church of Primghar. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Primghar.

IRETON, Iowa - Jake Sinkey, 89, of Hawarden, Iowa, formerly of Ireton, died Wednesday at Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Christian Reformed Church in Ireton. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, with the family present 5 to 6:30 p.m., at Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Ireton.

WYNOT, Neb. - Marian D. Ulrich, 74, of Wynot died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, S.D.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, Neb. Burial will be in Wynot City Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington, Neb.
Doris G. Cameron
ONAWA, Iowa - Doris G. Cameron, 68, of Onawa died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998. at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery.
Mrs. Cameron was born May 5, 1930, near Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of Charles E. and Alta (Leetch) Butcher. She graduated from Mapleton (Iowa) High School in 1948.
She married Gerald Cameron on Oct. 9, 1948, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple made their home in Sloan, Iowa, until moving to Onawa in 1973.
She was employed with Burgess Memorial Hospital and Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Kim E. of Iowa City, Iowa, and Kevin M. and Kent G., both of Onawa; four grandchildren, Jeremey, Ashley, Brittney and Tiffanie Cameron; a sister and her husband, LaVerna and John Hamann of Anthon, Iowa; a nephew; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy; a sister, Viola Anderson; and a grandson, Nicholaus in infancy.
