Robert L. Pruden
Robert Lorenn Pruden, 75, of Norfolk, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday at Norfolk Nursing Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huffman Snider Chapel in Clearwater, Neb. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery at Norfolk.
Leta C. Beebe
Leta Charlene Beebe, 77, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Whitfield United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Kretzschmar officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Berkemier Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Beebe was born July 13, 1920, the daughter of Colonel and Rena Hackett, in Sioux City.
The family moved to Wakonda, S.D., and lived there for two years before returning to Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School in 1938.
She was employed at Wincharger Corp. for a few years and was later employed at Genelli Photographers. She also painted photographs for Genelli's in her home.
She married Leo W. Beebe June 6, 1941, in South Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City.
She had been a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church since 1950, serving as a Sunday school teacher and in various offices of the United Methodist Women, including president, spiritual life chairman, and for eight years, as circle chairman. She also served on the communion committee and as chairman for 30 years. She was a member of Zetetic Study Club and was a long time member of the Sioux City Bowlers' Association and Sun Valley Golf Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons and their wives, Lee W. and Fay of Cary, N.C., and Gary R. and Karen of South Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Vivian and Bonnie Thornton of Rock Island, Ill.; a sister-in-law and her husband, Robert and Shirley Flynn of Pocahontas, Iowa; a granddaughter, Marci Dunlap; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne Hackett and Clyde Lyons.
Louise E. Mann
Louise Evelyn Mann, 89, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Sergeant Bluff, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with Dr. Paul Samualson of Community United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mann was born July 2, 1908, in Luton, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Della (Bates) Olson. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School.
She married Mike Kobold. She later married Ray Mann. He died in 1970.
She was employed with Armour Meat Packing Plant and later at the Woodbury County Womens Detention Center.
She had lived in Sergeant Bluff until entering Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting, Iowa.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter-in-alw, Betty Kobold of Salix, Iowa; a grandson, Bradley Kobold; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Kobold.
Frederick A.C. Brandt
Frederick A.C. Brandt, 84, of Sioux City died Sunday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
William H. Marsh
William H. "Bill" Marsh, 86, of Sioux City died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul-Louis Arts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.
Mr. Marsh was born May 6, 1911, in Jackson, Neb., the son of Joseph G. and Catherine (Hennessey) Marsh. He was raised in Jackson and South Sioux City. He gradauted from St. Catherine Academy in 1928, in Jackson and attended National Business College in Sioux City.
He married Frances M. Kober on June 1, 1935, in Jackson. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1939.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was employed as a telegraph operator with Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railroad from 1928 to 1932 in various towns in Nebraska. He was employed with Sears and Roebuck Company from 1933 until he retired in 1971.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Dwight Rorholm of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Thomas and Lori of Sioux City; a sister, Mary Clark of Sioux City; and three grandchildren, Michael and Janet Rorholm and Sarah Marsh.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Fern Beacom.
Pallbearers will be William and David Clark, Dennis Kober, Ron Marsh, Kenneth Bue and Dean Lindquist.
Tami Jo Saul
Tami Jo Saul, 43, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Indian Mission. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visit-ation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Saul was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Sioux City. She attended Morningside College.
She married Gary R. Saul on April 19, 1986, in Sioux City.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Episcopalion faith and enjoyed crafts and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Jerry and Robin Johnson of Sioux City; two daughters, Lynn Johnson and Vanessa Saul, both of Sioux City; her mother, Dolores Kamradt of Sioux City; a sister, Linda Anderson of Sioux City; two brothers, Bradley Westin of Omaha and Wayne Westin of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; paternal grandmother, Amy Potts of Largo, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Althea Saul of South Sioux City; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Gladys Smith, and her father, Bernard E. Westin.
Pallbearers will be Gary Anderson, Billy Borchgrevink, Robert and Bradley Fletcher, David Clark and Gail Plowman.
Fred E. Priestman
Fred E. Priestman, 90, of Sioux City died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Timothy J. Squier, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Duane Nelson Post 1981. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller, pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating, at the funeral home.
Mr. Priestman was born April 15, 1907, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, the son of Thomas and Kate (McCloud) Priestman. He moved to the United States as a teen-ager.
He served in the U.S Army in Europe during World War II.
He married Patricia A. James. She preceded him in death. He married Nadine Smith on Aug. 16, 1977, in Ringsted, Iowa. The couple lived in Ringsted until moving to Sioux City in October 1997.
He was employed as a delivery salesman with Metz Baking Company for 41 years, retiring in 1972. Following his retirement, he owned and managed rental apartments for several years.
He was a member of First Presbyterain Church in Ringsted, the Senior Citizens and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Emmet County. He was a 53-year member of the American Legion and Duane Nelson Post 1981 since moving to Sioux City. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Thomas of Sioux City and Fred Jr. of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Betty Munro of Naperville, Ill.; two stepsons and their wives, Jay and Linda Smith of Sioux City and Bill and Ruth Smith of San Antonio, Texas; a stepdaughter and her husband, Nancy and Mac McKown of Downey, Calif.; two sisters, Jean Priestman and Alma Bennett, both of St. Thomas, Ontario; four grandchildren, David Hobbs and Drew, Dana and Amy Priestman; five step grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel Priestman.
Pallbearers will be Thomas and Fred Priestman Jr., Jay and Brian Smith, David Hobbs and Mike Anson.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society of Sioux City.
Aloysius S. Ryan
Aloysius S. "Al" Ryan, 84, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday in Omaha following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Elk Point (S.D.) City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Edna D. Reynders
Edna D. Reynders, 93, of Sioux City died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Matney Westside Manor.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James L. Berka officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Reynders was born March 4, 1904, in Sioux City, the daughter of Lyman and Minnie Carnes.
She married Arthur W. Reynders on Oct. 25, 1920, in Sioux City. He died March 16, 1962, in Sioux City.
She was a charter member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and a member of the Girls of 68.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Bill and Shirley of Orangevale, Calif., Bob and Veloy of Plano, Texas, and Don and Shardell of Sioux City; two daughters and their husbands, Jenette and Bob Magnuson of New Braunfels, Texas, and Marilyn and Bill Johnson of Sioux City; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gene; a brother, Melvin; a sister, Cora Shrake; a daughter-in-law, Agnes Reynders; and a step great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be directed to St. Luke Lutheran Church building fund.
Lois I. Frisbie
Lois I. Frisbie, 91, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Larkin officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Frisbie was born Aug. 28, 1906, in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Hermie (Willis) Leonard. She moved with her family to Sioux City at the age of 12. She gradauted from Central High School in 1924.
She married Russell E. Frisbie on May 15, 1933, in Sioux City.
She was employed as a saleslady with The Book Nook from 1928 to 1940.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former member and past president of the board of St. Moncia's Home.
Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Jack and Shirley of Waukegan, Ill.; four grandchildren, Michael and Tim Frisbie, Cindy Hecklau and Sallie Pugliese; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials in her name may be directed to the Big Sioux Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
George T. Webster, 92, of Sioux City died Monday; Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Virginia M. Heien
MERRILL, Iowa - Virginia Mae Heien, 86, of Merrill died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Merrill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fred Malone officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visit-ation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
Mrs. Heien was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Amboy, Minn., the daughter of Homer and Edith (June) Brown.
She moved with her family to Merrill when she was a child. She graduated from Merrill High School.
She married John Michael Heien on Sept. 2, 1933, in Le Mars. He died Aug. 28, 1980.
She entered Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars in November 1997.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Merrill United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Royal Neighbors of America, where she served as the recorder for several years.
She enjoyed playing cards, baking and crocheting.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Joretta and Norman Blackmore of Lenox, S.D., and Sheryl and Paul Jebsen of Hinton, Iowa; four sons, Donald, John F. and his wife, Roberta, Bob and James and his wife, Pat, all of Sioux City; two sisters, Georgia Torkelson of Hudson, S.D., and Wanda and her husband, James Wold of Garner, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Buys; a grandson, Anthony Heien; a great-grandson; and her special friend, Kermit Kersting.
Pallbearers will be Steve, Terry, Mike, Bob and Bobby John Heien and Corey Jebsen.
Rachel E. Frazier
SANTEE, Neb. - Rachel Evelyn Frazier, 71, of Santee, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1998, at her residence.
Services were held Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Santee Community Gymnasium. Burial was in Congregational Cemetery in Santee.
Terry L. Barnes
BATTLE CREEK, Iowa - Terry L. Barnes, 41, of Battle Creek died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton, Iowa, with the Rev. Edgar Bode officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.
Mr. Barnes was born Nov. 27, 1956, in Sioux City, the son of Chester and Viola (Pranschke) Barnes.
He lived in Glenwood, Iowa until the age of 26, when he moved to Battle Creek Group Home. He had been a resident of the Willow Dale Nursing Home in Battle Creek for two years.
He enjoyed music, bowling and dancing.
Survivors include his mother of Mapleton; two sisters and their husbands, Judy and Roger Furne of Battle Creek and Jolene and Dick Streck of Schleswig, Iowa; and three brothers and their wives, Ron and Rose of Sioux City, Don and Myra of Mesa, Ariz., and Rick and Denise of Defiance, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Kenneth and Gary.
Henry Broesder
SIBLEY, Iowa - Henry Broesder, 88, of Sibley died Sunday at Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Reformed Church in Sibley. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock, Iowa. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m., at Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.
Robert Reptert
WEST POINT, Neb. - Robert Reptert, 85, of West Point died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point, with the Rev. Dennis Maaske officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service 6:30 p.m., at Ben Stalp Funeral Home in West Point. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
Mr. Reptert was born Aug. 16, 1912, in West Point, the son of Earl and Frieda (Meier) Reptert. He attended school at St. Paul Parochial School in West Point, graduating from West Point High School in 1930.
He married Mildred Bargmann on April 22, 1939, in Norfolk, Neb.
He farmed in the West Point area and raised horses. He owned and operated Reptert Pony Sale Barn in the late 1950s and 1960s.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the Dustle and Beaus Square Dance Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roger of Ireton, Iowa, and Clay and his wife, Susan, of West Point; a daughter-in-law, Donna Reptert of West Point; a sister, Katharine Weil of Sun City, Ariz.; a brother, Ray Reptert of Okoboji, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bert; a daughter-in-law, Mildred Reptert; four brothers and a sister.
Henry DeMan Sr.
ALTA, Iowa - Henry M. DeMan Sr., 73, of Alta died Monday at Newell (Iowa) Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Alta. Burial will be in Buena Vista Memorial Park in Storm Lake, Iowa. Visitation will from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Barker Funeral Home in Alta.

HARTLEY, Iowa - Leona Ver Boek, 86, of Hartley died Sunday at Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hartley Community Center. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Warner Funeral Home in Hartley.

CHERKOEE, Iowa - R.C. "Bud" Stiles, 83, of Cherokee died of an apparent heart attack Monday at his residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m., at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday conducted by the Speculative Lodge 307 A.F.&A.M., at the funeral home.

MILFORD, Iowa - Tim Bertelsen, 28, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Milford, died Sunday at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Burial will be in Lakeview Gardens Cemetery at Spirit Lake, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Turner Funeral Home in Milford.
Christian DeHaan
ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa - Christian "Chris" DeHaan, 100, of Rock Rapids died Sunday at Lyons Manor Care Center.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Christian Reformed Church in Rock Rapids. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids.
Mildred Guthridge
KINGSLEY, Iowa - Mildred Anna Emelia Guthridge, 76, of Kingsley died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, with the Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery at rural Correctionville, Iowa. Visitiation will be after 2 p.m. today at Earnest-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.
Mrs. Guthridge was born Aug. 1, 1921, in rural Paullina, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Pries) Schuknecht. She was raised on a farm near Paullina and attended country school.
She married Virgil Guthridge on Dec. 31, 1940, in Cherokee, Iowa. The couple lived in the Kingsley area. He died Feb. 19, 1979.
She was employed as an egg handler with Lieske Egg Market for many years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Nora Feldotto of Paullina and Norma Kluender of Cresco, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Harry, Roy, Raymond and Delbert Schuknecht.
