Evalyn Kirby Bosworth, 84, a longtime resident of Idaho Falls, died May 20, 1998, in Federal Way, Wash. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward, 651 Gladstone, with Bishop Keith Standley officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mike Weidauer
Michael Dale "Mike" Weidauer, 44, of Idaho Falls, died Jan. 27, 1999, at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1954, at Idaho Falls, to Elwood Walter Weidauer and Doris Mae Nabors Weidauer. He spent his early years in Utah, then moved with his family to Ammon, Idaho, where he grew up and attended Hillview Elementary, Ammon Junior High School, and Bonneville High School. He later served with the National Guard. He worked as a cook and a carpenter. He had also worked at McDermott Field in Idaho Falls as a maintenance and grounds keeper. He has been disabled for the past several years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and camping. He loved spending time with his family and his very special nieces, Stephanie and Katie. Survivors include his mother, Doris Weidauer of Ammon; two daughters, Shalisa Bodillo and Melanie Weidauer, both of Idaho Falls; a son, Steven Weidauer Chapple of Pocatello, Idaho; a sister, Debbie (Ken) Lord of Idaho Falls; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Steven, and his grandparents. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, with Chaplain Marv Eld of Good Samaritan Hospice officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday for one hour before the services at the funeral home.

Max G. Marotz
ASHTON - Max G. Marotz, 90, of Ashton, Idaho, died Jan. 26, 1999, at Ashton Memorial Nursing Center. He was born June 30, 1908, in St. Anthony, Idaho. In 1912 his family moved to the community of Greentimber, east of Ashton. For his early education, he attended the Greentimber School and later graduated from Ashton High School. On Dec. 13, 1935, he married Ruth Green and they made their home in Greentimber. They had two daughters, Claudia and Margo. In June 1964, his wife died. He was a farmer until he retired in 1971. On Nov. 6, 1971, he married Virginia Rigby Mason. They were later divorced. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he held the office of High Priest. He was also an active member of the Rotary Club. He loved to travel and took many trips in the United States, and to New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, Fiji, Europe, and the Philippines. He attended flight school at Thomsen's Flying Service in Salt Lake City, Utah, and loved to fly all of his life. For his 70th birthday he went for a glider ride, where he took pictures looking down on the tip of the Grand Teton. He was a very family oriented and always enjoyed the company of family members, whether they lived close or some distance away. Survivors include his daughters, Claudia (Gary) Virgin of Boise, Idaho, and Margo (Redge) Smith of Ashton; siblings, Elsie (Harold) Bender of Eugene, Ore., and Louise (Pop) Howell and Victor Marotz, both of Ashton; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ashton LDS 3rd Ward. Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Valley Mortuary in Ashton, and Saturday for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery. The family suggests donations to the Max Marotz Memorial Fund, 1379 Baker Road, Ashton, ID 83420. Funds will be used by the Ashton Rotary Club to put flowers at the entrance into Ashton, and metal statues to be placed at various sights around Ashton.

Melvin Strong
DRIGGS - Melvin Johnson Strong, 53, a teacher at Driggs, Idaho, died Jan. 26, 1999, at Driggs. He was born March 7, 1945, to William A. and June E. Strong of Driggs. After graduating from Teton High School, he served an LDS Church mission in Brazil. In 1968 he married JoDeane Carol Bagley in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, and they had 12 children. He spent his life pursuing his dream of a family-owned and operated Brown Swiss dairy farm and felt a farm was the best place to raise his family. From 1969 to 1971 he served a tour of duty in Vietnam. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he entered the teaching profession where he served for more than 25 years. He was a loved teacher who cared, not only for the academic, but also the personal success of his students. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served in many callings. He enjoyed fishing with friends and family (especially ice fishing), watching his children and their friends participate in their chosen activities, hunting, boating, refereeing, and going for scenic drives. Melvin was a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother, whose greatest joy was to have his family near him. Survivors include his wife JoDeane Strong of Driggs; his 12 children, Cynthia (Jeff) Murdock of Spanish Fork, Utah, Thomas (Tami) Strong, James (Sandi) Strong, Matthew (Michele) Strong, and Anna Strong, all of Logan, Utah, Amy and Jessica Strong of Rexburg, Idaho, and Mark, John, Emma, Sandra, and Luke Strong, all of Driggs; his mother, June E. Strong of Provo, Utah; brothers and sisters, William of Provo, Genevive of Kaysville, Utah, John of Iowa, David of California, Maurine of Pleasant Groves, Utah, Mark of Orem, Utah, and Ralph of California; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Emma Gene; and his father, William A. Strong. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Driggs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends at the church Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Darby Cemetery in Driggs under the direction of Valley Mortuary in Driggs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for his children at the Bank of Commerce in Driggs.

Agnes Ruby Lott
JEROME - Agnes Ruby Lott, 94, of Jerome, Idaho, a former resident of Ucon and Mud Lake, Idaho, died Jan. 27, 1999, at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born Feb. 10, 1904, at Clawson, Utah, to Axel and Pauline Thiede Anderson. She was reared and educated at Clawson. On Feb. 9, 1924, she married David Alonzo "Lon" Lott in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in the Ucon and Mud Lake area, near Idaho Falls, for 40 years. They later resided in Montana and then in Arco, Idaho. Her husband died in 1981 and she moved to Jerome in 1987. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her sons, Delbert Lott of Pocatello, Elden Lott of Rexburg, LaMon Lott of Kearns, Utah, Milton Lott of Austin, Nev., Ralph Lott of Northport, Wash., Seth Lott of Cedar City, Utah, Ben Lott of Leeds, Utah, and Arlo Lott of Jerome; two daughters, Ruby Mitchell of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Helen Lowder of Rigby, Idaho; a brother, Sander Anderson of Draper, Utah; two sisters, Selda Frisby of Payson, Utah, and Leona Konold of Salt Lake City, Utah; 80 grandchildren; 224 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, DeMar and Phil. Graveside services will be in Idaho Saturday, Jan. 30, at 3:30 p.m. in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Marvel Memorial Chapel in Arco. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Jerome LDS Stake Center, on Tiger Drive. Friends may visit Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hove-Robertson Funeral Chapel in Jerome and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.

SALMON - Edna E. Lyon, 78, of Salmon, died Jan. 24, 1999, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jones and Casey Funeral Home in Salmon. Burial will be in the Salmon Cemetery.

Beulah G. Woodward
Beulah Gayle Woodward, 78, of Idaho Falls, a native of Shelley, Idaho, and former resident of Long Beach, Calif., died Jan. 28, 1999, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She is the sister of Glenn Woodward and Irene Theobald, both of Idaho Falls. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community United Methodist Church in Shelley, 190 S. Holmes, with Pastor Michael Eld officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley. In memory of our dearest loved one, Ross Lorin Butler, 41, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 1998, at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 1998, in the Caldwell North L.D.S. Stake Center, located on Highway 30 at exit 25 on I-84 in Caldwell. Bishop Mark D. Coombs of the Middleton, Idaho, 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate. Burial will follow in the Middleton Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel, Boise. Ross was born on June 26, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kelsie L. and Sheila Downs Butler. He spent his childhood in southeastern Idaho and during his teenage years moved with his family from the Coltman area to Kuna, Idaho, where he completed his education and graduated from Kuna High School. While in high school, Ross was very active as a member and officer of the F.F.A. He also enjoyed wrestling and competing. He was a faithful member of the L.D.S. Church, and stayed very active in his youth in the Scouting program and his Priesthood Quorums, where he held various callings. At the age of 19, he was thrilled to accept a call to serve a two-year L.D.S. mission in the Lansing, Michigan Mission. On May 3, 1978, he married for time and eternity to Kathie "K" Kershaw in the Idaho Falls L.D.S.Temple. They have lived in the Treasure Valley, where they ran a dairy in Kuna and later moved to the Caldwell area. He was currently employed by Armour's Fresh Meats as a cattle buyer. Ross and Kathie were blessed with seven children, who were his greatest pride and joy. He was also anticipating the birth of their eighth child in May. His joys in life were his sons and daughters, as each were the apple of his eye. He loved Scouting activities with his sons, with lots of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, and working horses with his family. Some of his hobbies were chariot races, hound dogs, and draft horses, but most of all he loved reading to his daughter. As a member of the L.D.S. Church, he held various Church callings and served with great diligence and commitment. A few of his most recent callings were Elder's Quorum president, Young Men quorum advisor, Primary teacher, and nursery leader, which he loved greatly because of his daughter, Camilla. Ross was a wonderful example to everyone he knew. His greatest joys were his wife, children, and the knowledge and conviction he had of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ross will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and associates. Survivors include his wife, Kathie Butler; three sons, Jesse Lane, Michah Lee, and Seth Lorin Butler; four daughters, Lisha Kae, Sara Jane, Rebecca Ann, and Camilla Elisabeth Butler, all of Caldwell, Idaho; his mother and step-father, Sheila Butler Wright and Lloyd Wright of Menan, Idaho; two sisters, Marcie Young and Cally Stone, both of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Del Butler of Nampa, Idaho; his grandmother, Alta Downs of Menan, Idaho; his father and mother-in-law, Larry M. and Nelda Kershaw of Caldwell, Idaho; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents; and by his father, Kelsie Lee Butler. The family met with friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., and will meet with friends again Saturday from noon to 12:50 p.m. at the L.D.S. Chapel in Middleton.

Hiroshi Miyasaki
Hiroshi "Hitt" Miyasaki, 74, of Idaho Falls, died Feb. 5, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of heart failure. He was born July 17, 1923, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Kitaro and Mitsu Miyasaki. He graduated from Madison High School. On Nov. 17, 1946, he married Jessie Kuwana. They later divorced. He enjoyed farming as an occupation, and farmed in Sugar City until he was disabled by a stroke in 1970. Always a support to his children, he enjoyed watching them play in sporting activities. He spent many hours fishing, golfing, and he could beat everyone in pinochle. He enjoyed his family and friends, and all will miss him. Survivors include his children, Linda (husband, John) Neilsen of Ucon, Idaho, Gloria (husband, Larry) Biddle of Albuquerque, N.M., Gary (wife, Marlene) Miyasaki of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Daryl (wife, Donna) Miyasaki of Avon Lake, Ohio; a brother, Katsumi (wife, Jeannette) Miyasaki of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Shizuko (husband, Takeo) Kubo of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Yaeko (husband, Huck) Yamasaki of Idaho Falls; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Idaho Falls 14th LDS Ward, 651 Gladstone, with Bishop Keith Standley officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 N. First East in Rexburg, and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church in Idaho Falls. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.

John A. Wanstrom
MOORE - John A. Wanstrom, 80, of Moore, Idaho, died Feb. 4, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He was born Dec. 14, 1917, at Moore, to Anton and Christine Henderson Wanstrom. His mother died when he was 3-years-old, and he spent his early life in orphanages and foster homes. In 1934, he moved to Moore, where he attended school. He received his GED from the Butte County School System in 1965. During World War II, he served with the Army in Belgium, Germany, France and Switzerland, and attained the rank of corporal. On Jan. 10, 1942, he married Faye Guthridge in Boise, Idaho. In 1947 they moved to Moore, where he farmed and began employment at Westinghouse Electric at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory in 1956. He retired in 1981 and spent his latter years farming, hunting, fishing, attending church events, and family activities. He was a member of the Baptist Community Church. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed playing pinochle and pool at the Lost Rivers Senior Citizens Center, and watching his grandchildren play sports for Butte High School. Survivors include his wife, Faye of Moore; children, Tony Wanstrom of Hermiston, Ore., Rose Fleischmann of Idaho Falls, David Wanstrom of Moore, Valerie Carpenter of Twin Falls, Idaho, Dan Wanstrom of Moore, Carol Wanstrom of Boise, Idaho, and Holly Baker and John Wanstrom, both of Idaho Falls; 31 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. One sister, Esther, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Community Church in Arco with Pastor Everest P. Zediker officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Marvel Memorial Chapel in Arco, and Saturday for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, near Moore. The family suggests donations to the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Clifford B. Lloyd
Clifford B. Lloyd, 80, of Las Vegas, Nev., a retired school principal and longtime Idaho Falls resident, died Feb. 2, 1998, of heart failure in a Las Vegas hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Albion, Idaho, to Harry Phillips and Stella B. Lloyd. He grew up and attended schools in Albion, and obtained a teaching certificate from Albion State Normal School. He graduated from Utah State University. On Dec. 9, 1937, he married Thurza L. Martindale at Burley. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He began his career as a principal and teacher, and with his wife taught grades one through eight in a two-room schoolhouse in McDonaldville, Idaho. Over the years, he was a principal and teacher in Ririe, New Sweden and Rockford before moving back to Idaho Falls School District 91 in 1955. There he served as principal of Temple View, East Side, and Hawthorne elementary schools, and for his last 15 years was principal of Dora Erickson Elementary. He was a lifetime member of the Idaho Education Association and National Education Association. His wife preceded him in death. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various priesthood and Scouting positions. He enjoyed his family, his computer and golf. Survivors include his children, Clifford Phillip Lloyd, Marilyn Lloyd Adams, and Joanne Lloyd, all of Las Vegas, and Allen Brent Lloyd of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Florence L. Johnson of Randolph, Utah; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two daughters, and all but one sibling. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward, Ninth Street and Boulevard, with Bishop Don Gerard officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, and Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Frank Mead, 75, of Idaho Falls, died Feb. 6, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls.

CHALLIS - Emmitt "Hugh" Johnson, 97, of Challis, died Feb. 3, 1998, at Discovery Care Centre in Salmon. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Challis Mission Church. Burial will be in the Challis Cemetery under the direction of Jones and Casey Funeral Home in Salmon.

Leone Ruth Kofoed
Leone Ruth Kofoed, 83, of Idaho Falls and Scottsdale, Ariz., died May 21, 1998, in Scottsdale. She is the wife of Gordon E. Kofoed; and the mother of Sheril L. Kofoed (wife, Sharon) of Idaho Falls, and Janice Lundahl (husband, John), former Idaho Falls residents. Cremation took place in Scottsdale, and at her request there will be no services.

Saba Webb
Saba Webb, 80, of Idaho Falls, died Nov. 26, 1998, at the Life Care Center.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Fielding Memorial Park with Bishop Dave Clayson officiating. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls.

Patricia Ann Larick
DUBOIS - Graveside services for Patricia Ann Larick, 49, of Bozeman, Mont., who died April 25, 1999, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Kilgore Cemetery. Her husband is former Kilgore, Idaho, resident, John A. Larick. The service time was not included with the obituary in Wednesday's paper because of incomplete information received by the Post Register.
