John J. DeFelice
John Joseph DeFelice, 58, of Idaho Falls, died Sept. 24, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of cancer.
He was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Los Angeles, Calif., to John Vincent and Vivian Irene Crowel DeFelice. He was raised and attended schools in the San Fernando Valley. In the summer of 1991, he moved to Idaho Falls to be close to his daughter.
In the summer of 1958, he married Helen Willis. They were later divorced. On Aug. 18, 1975, he married Debra Abrams and they were later divorced.
Survivors include his three daughters and two sons, Lori J. Gutierrez (Rey), JoAnn H. Cook (Wayne), Wendy S. DeFelice, John M. DeFelice, and Anthony DeFelice (Holly); a brother, William A. DeFelice; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
An open house in honor of John will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the home of his family at 555 Winston Ave. in Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
N. Grant Tolman
Nathan Grant Tolman, 81, of Idaho Falls, died Sept. 23, 1998, at Columbia Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 14, 1917, at Honeyville, Utah, to Nathan Tolman and LaRee Scott Tolman. He was raised in the area, where he attended schools. He graduated from Utah State University.
On Nov. 25, 1950, he married JoAnn M. Amann in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a businessman in Idaho Falls, where he resided for the past 36 years.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission in Australia. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. His greatest joys were giving to any and all in need, and being with his grandchildren - he loved taking them to Smitty's Restaurant.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn of Idaho Falls; his children and their spouses, Bruce Grant Tolman (Vicki) of Idaho Falls, Carol Ann Harrop (Patrick) of Beaver, Ohio, Claudia LeRee Russell (Neal) of Idaho Falls, Jonathan Paul Tolman (JoAnn) of Logan, Utah, Maria Tolman Rossi (Kirk) of Madison, Wis., Vance Tolman of California, and Scott Tolman (Libby) of Texas; a brother, Reed Tolman of Salt Lake City; a sister, Sarah Lou Munhollen of Georgia; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two sons.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Idaho Falls LDS South Stake Center, 2051 S. Emerson, with Bishop Maurice McAffee officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in the Honeyville, Utah, Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls.
Robert L. Howell
PARKER - Robert L. Howell, 81, of Parker, Idaho, died Sept. 23, 1998, of natural causes at his home.
He was born May 1, 1917, at Clearwater, Idaho, to William Monroe and Edith Mae Baker Howell. He lived most of his life in Fremont County, where he enjoyed the great outdoors.
On June 16, 1941, he married Elva Orgill at Rexburg, Idaho. All of his life he worked with cattle, working for the Bitch Creek Cattleman's Association; and B.M. Tibbitts and Sons where he cared for their cattle for more than 20 years, and he also worked in the potato warehouse during the winter months. He also worked for Davis Lake Cattleman's Association. He retired in 1991 and turned all of his attention to gardening. He grew a very large productive garden.
Survivors include his wife, Elva of Parker; a son, Darrel Howell (wife, Lyla) of Tetonia, Idaho; a daughter, Minnie Kidd (husband, John) of St. Anthony, Idaho; a brother, Lewis Howell of Landers, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas; a sister, Hollie, brothers, Lenard and Edward; and a half-brother, Asa.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Parker LDS Ward with Keith Cornelison of the Bishopric officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Margaret Louise Kelly, 72, of Riverside, Calif., died Feb. 4, 1999, in Riverside.
She was born April 14, 1926, in Teton Basin, Idaho, to Edward Pintar and Carrie Hall Pintar. She attended schools in Rigby, Idaho.
She married Wesley Kelly in Red Bluff, Calif. She had lived in Riverside for many years and worked as a legal secretary. She enjoyed reading and needlepoint and had many opportunities to travel a great deal.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Kelly of Riverside; one daughter, Patricia Kelly Halterman of Riverside; one sister, Karen Steele Idaho Falls; three brothers, Jack Pintar of Idaho Falls, Lyle Pintar of Lorenzo, Idaho, and Skip Pintar of Bishop, Calif.

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Sister Mary Yehle, 89, of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (FSPA), a former Idaho Falls resident, died March 6, 1999, at Villa St. Joseph in LaCrosse.
Known in Idaho Falls as Sister Monica, (the name she received when she entered the Novitiate in 1944), she spent 26 years at the Idaho Falls Sacred Heart Hospital in the business office. She left Idaho Falls in 1979 and had retired to Villa St. Joseph in 1993.
Services were held March 9 in Mary of the Angels Chapel. Burial was in the family plot in the Catholic Cemetery in LaCrosse. Memorials may be sent to Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, 912 Market St., LaCrosse, WI 54601-8800.
