CHARLESTON – Elizabeth "Betty" June Watson, 74, of Charleston died at 9:15 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston. The Rev. Bill Boaz will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Lucille Young
CLINTON – Funeral services for Lucille Young, 81, of Clinton will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton. The Rev. Howard Bell will officiate.
Burial will be in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young died at 9:05 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

METCALF – Sam Booher, 91, of Metcalf died today (Jan. 28, 1999) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly St., Newman.

CHAMPAIGN – Mildred Brown, 94, of 505 N. Harris Ave., C, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at ManorCare Health Services, Urbana.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. The Rev. A.J. Good will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Ulah Brown Jr.
WAPELLA – Ulah Marie Brown Jr., 81, of Wapella died at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at DeWitt County Nursing Home, Hallsville.

URBANA – Graveside services for Stephen Henry Dowds, 51, of Urbana will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Danville National Cemetery, Danville, with military rites by American Legion Post No. 210. The Rev. Steve Brady will officiate.
Barrick and Son Funeral Home, 440 N. Walnut St., Danville, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dowds died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

GARRETT – Anthony Lee "Tony" Ekiss, 37, of Garrett died at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1999) at home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, 503 W. Jackson, Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan.
There will be no visitation.

PEORIA – Teresa Cheral Ensign, 55, of Peoria, formerly of Bellflower, Saybrook and Arrowsmith, died at 4:22 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at home.

VILLA GROVE – Russell S. "Coach" Ghere, 73, a Villa Grove coach and former Douglas County Board chairman, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 27, 1999) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Villa Grove United Methodist Church, 302 N. Second St., Villa Grove. The Rev. John Tennyson will officiate. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, with military rites by Walter Jones VFW Post No. 2876.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Villa Grove High School Gymnasium, Villa Grove.
