CLINTON – Leafy Shinneman, 95, of Clinton died at 5:42 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at her home.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton.
Carlis Summerville
SAVOY – Funeral services for Carlis E. "Slim" Summerville, 91, of The Windsor of Savoy, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Champaign, 1602 N. Prospect Ave., Savoy. The Rev. Steve Ingram and the Rev. Brett Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Cartwright Cemetery, Tuscola.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the church, with Masonic rites by Western Star Lodge No. 240, AF and AM, at 12:45 p.m. Morgan Memorial Home, Savoy, is handling arrangements.
Mr. Summerville died at 5 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

FITHIAN – Richard Lee Wilson, 52, of Fithian died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Barrick and Son Funeral Home, 440 N. Walnut St., Danville. Michael L. Mack will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Dia Xiong
DANVILLE – Dia Xiong, 78, of Danville died at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 10, 1999) at the home of her son in Champaign.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville. The Rev. Yang Tao will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Cummins will offer prayers for the family at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Paul Pettinga, longtime music professor at UI URBANA
A memorial service for Paul S. Pettinga, 85, of Urbana, professor emeritus of music at the University of Illinois, will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 5, 1999, at University Place Christian Church, Champaign.
A private graveside service was held Oct. 30.
Mr. Pettinga died at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 28, 1999, at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.

MONTICELLO – Carolyn Busboom, 59, of Collinsville, formerly of Monticello, died at 3 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at Anderson Hospital, Collinsville.

DANVILLE – Bessie Marie White Dunning, 86, of Danville died at 2:48 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at ManorCare Health Services, Champaign.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel, 3550 N. Vermilion St., Danville. The Rev. Herbert D. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, near Fairmount.

BEMENT – Edward Carleton Genley, 86, of Bement died at 12:58 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at Kirby Hospital, Monticello.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 332 S. Macon St., Bement. The Rev. George Wuellner will officiate. Burial will be in Bement Cemetery, Bement.
