PAXTON – Marita K. Schif, 88, of Paxton died at 1:43 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at Heartland Health Care, Paxton.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton. Father James Heramb and the Rev. Randy Surey will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

RANTOUL – Margaret Schluter, 94, of Rantoul died at 8:15 a.m. Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford.
Funeral arrangements were pending at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul.

CHAMPAIGN – Vivian I. Shirley, 81, of Champaign died at 5:30 a.m. Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

FARMER CITY – Funeral services for Patricia Louise Sparrow, 69, of Oblong, formerly of Farmer City, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St., C. The Rev. Edward Schneider will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Miss Sparrow died at 5:56 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000) at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson.
Cyrus Allen
LUDLOW – Memorial services for Cyrus John Joseph Allen, 57, of Ludlow will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul.
Mr. Allen died Tuesday (Feb. 29, 2000) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Josephine Apel
SAVOY – Memorial services for Josephine G. Apel, 94, of The Windsor of Savoy, formerly of the Cleveland, Ohio, area, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Windsor of Savoy, 401 Burwash Ave., Savoy. The Rev. Ann Burger will officiate.
Graveside services will be held Monday in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio. Morgan Memorial Home, Savoy, is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Apel died at 1:05 a.m. Thursday (March 2, 2000) at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.

GILMAN – Leona Lorraine Arends, 86, of Gilman died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday (March 2, 2000) at Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Gilman. The Rev. Leon McClimans will officiate. Burial will be in Gilman Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

WAPELLA – Velva I. Armstrong, 83, of Wapella died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday (March 1, 2000) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella. Ed Bacon will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton, is in charge of arrangements.
