URBANA – Funeral services for William Smith, 75, of 1503 E. Florida Ave., U, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Hope Church of God in Christ, 911 W. Bradley Ave., C. Elder Jerome Chambers will officiate.
Entombment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum, Champaign.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Twin City Memorial Chapel, 1203 N. Market St., C.
Mr. Smith died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

TUSCOLA – Lydia E. Stahler, 75, of Tuscola died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola.

Mr. White died at 6:52 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 24, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

DANVILLE – Mary C. Boen, 70, of Danville died at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Raymie Gordon will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

CHAMPAIGN – Melvin H. "Hack" Cook, 71, of Champaign died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. The Rev. Sam Thompson and Gary Gilliam will officiate. Burial with military rites by the VFW Post 5520, Champaign, will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
