Visitation took place Saturday, July 2, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her husband Robert; siblings Carmella (the late Dominic) DeSanti, Anthony Albachiaro, Frank (Vita) Albachiaro; and sister-in-law Ida (Louis) Catale. Mrs. Paul is survived by her children Roberta (Ken) Chrobak, Greg (Helen), Tonise (Eric) Harkna; 12 grandchildren; sister-in-law ViVi (the late Charles) Shawe; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to the Carmellite Monastery.

A funeral Mass for Anna Pomozy, 83, of Park Ridge, took place Friday, July 1 at St. Stephen King of Hungary Church in Chicago. Born in Hungary, Ms. Pomozy was a resident of Ballard Nursing Home in Park Ridge. Ms. Pomozy died Sunday, June 26 at Lutheran General Hospital. Ms. Pomozy is survived by her children Attila Pomozy and Katalina Filo.

Age 70
Patricia M. Schild (nee O'Grady) passed away July 10 at her home in Rolling Meadows. She had been a resident for 50 years. Mrs. Schild was born Nov. 17, 1934 in Chicago to the late Vincent and Wilma O'Grady. Surviving are brother Dennis O'Grady and sons W. Timothy and Thomas W. (Kristi) Schild.

A funeral Mass for Annellen B. Sellergren (nee Corrigan), 70, of Park Ridge, took place Friday, July 8, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ransom Church. Visitation took place Thursday, July 7, 3 to 9 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home. Mrs. Sellergren is survived by her husband Willard A., children Nancy, Ellen, Jeanette, Charles, Lorna (Michael) Rubino, Renee (Don) Holm, Marta (Sam) Cozzo, Robert, James (Amy); 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many dear relatives and friends. Age 80
Park Ridge resident Richard M. Shanahan passed away June 5. He is preceded in death by brothers Robert M. and Rev. Robert J. and grandson Vincent Shanahan. Mr. Shanahan is survived by wife Esther Josephine (nee Kosidowski); children Maureen (Daniel) Crouchley and Dennis, Thomas (Kathleen), Michael (Jenny) and Jack (Cynthia) Shanahan; and grandchildren Dennis, Brian, Hailey, Jack, Charles, Lily, Katherine, Gregory, Matthew Evan, Sean and Brendan Shanahan and Molly and Anne Crouchley. Also surviving are brothers David J., William A., Roger P. and Rev. Thomas J. Visitation took place Friday at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge. Interment was private. A funeral service for George A. Eggert Jr., 61, of Mt. Prospect, will take place on Wednesday, July 13, 12 p.m. at Maryville Academy Chapel in Des Plaines. The funeral will be officiated by Rev. John Smyth. Interment will take place at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation took place Tuesday, July 12, 3 to 9 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home. Born in Chicago on Nov. 7, 1943, Mr. Eggert worked for 18 years as co-owner and operator of Kathryn's Banquets in Mt. Prospect. As a teenager, he worked for his father's restaurant, Heuer in Rosemont. Mr. Eggert died on Sunday, July 10 at his residence. Mr. Eggert is preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon L. Mr. Eggert is survived by his wife, Janet L.; son, Mark J. (Dina); three grandchildren; parents, George Sr. and Juanita; siblings, Dolly (Pat) Readey, Gregory (Shirley), Gennine (Joe) Lynch, Mary (Roman) Korab, Laura (Dave) Schnier; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Virginia McFadden Bailey, 82, took place on Monday, Oct. 17 at the First Methodist Church in Park Ridge. Born on Sept. 1, 1923, Mrs. Bailey worked at Sears Golf Mill for over 40 years. Mrs. Bailey died on Thursday, Oct. 13. Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her brother Walter (Barbara) McFadden. Mrs. Bailey was survived by her husband James; her sons James (Christine), John (Sharon), and Jeffrey; her daughter Judith (Michael) Lund; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Melvin C. Breitzke of Arlington Hts. died Oct. 20 at Northwest Community Hospital. He had worked as a printer for 45 years. Mr. Breitzke was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Hts. He was preceded in death by wife Alverna and brother Lorenz, and is survived by son Carl M. (Kathleen) and grandson David. Visitation and services took place Monday at the Lutheran Home, followed by interment at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home. Meadows Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Services took place Monday at Queen of the Rosary Church for Lorraine Camarata (nee Ceglarek). Born in Chicago, Mrs. Camarata had been an Elk Grove Village resident for 48 years. Mrs. Camarata was preceded in death by husband Vincent. She is survived by sons Ronald V. (Jane), Jamie J. (Linda) and Terry J. (Janice), as well as seven grandchildren. Mrs. Camarata passed away Oct. 20 at Alexian Bros. Medical Center. Interment took place at Memory Gardens in Arlington Hts. Visitation was Sunday at Grove Memorial Chapel.

Frances L. Dettloff of Niles passed away at the age of 86 on Oct. 18 at Resurrection Pavilion Nursing Center. Mrs. Dettloff was born Feb. 15, 1919 in Bono, Ak. Services took place at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. John Brebeuf Church before burial at Jonesboro Memorial Park. Mrs. Dettloff is survived by daughter Phyllis (Michael) Palliser; nephew David Miller; nieces Roberta Cesaretti and Carol (Richard) Rybak; and friends John and Eleonore Palliser. She is preceded in death by husband George, parents A.D. Coleman and Quincy Stephens, grandson Jerome ³J.J.² Palliser and nephew Dale Miller. Longtime Des Plaines resident Mae Bea Ganas passed away in Murfreesboro, Tn. Oct. 19. She was born Aug. 4, 1943 in Arno, Va. Mrs. Ganas, a homemaker, was preceded in death by parents Shelby and Ethel Payne and sister Loretta Jorgensen McNair. Surviving are children Demitra (Tony) Hunsinger of Murfreesboro, Marie (Joseph) Harvat of Des Plaines and Patricia (Paul) Rolan of Austin, Tx. Mrs. Ganas is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie, Alexandra, Mathew and Savannah Hunsinger and Anthony and Grace Harvat; step-grandchildren Jesse, Nathan and Hannah Rolan; siblings Howard (Norma), Daniel (Carmen) and Thomas (Sue) Payne, Alice (Andy) Caldwell and Lois (Junior) White; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services took place Monday at Severino's River Woods Funeral Chapels. Interment was at Elmwood cemetery in River Grove.

John Patrick Hardyman of Niles died Oct. 16 at Lutheran General Hospital. He was 83 years old. A veteran of the Army who made his living as an office manager, Mr. Hardyman was preceded in death by wife Marilyn J., daughter Mary Lou and parents John Patrick and Helen Cecelia. He is survived by daughters Sharon and Geraldine and sons John and Larry. Mr. Hardyman was a resident of Niles, and was born July 12, 1922 in Chicago. Services were held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. John Brebeuf Church. Burial took place at Maryhill cemetery.
MICHAEL GREGORY KAZAK
Age 58
Michael Gregory Kazak, formerly of Deerfield, Bensenville and Chicago, passed away Oct. 19 at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Ill. Mr. Kazak was in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of Toastmasters International, a community theater participant and enjoyed playing guitar and studying ships. He made his living as a self-employed construction consultant, and owned MK Associates in Elgin. During his career, he served as engineering manager with Great Lakes Corp and was a project manager for Fisher Development, Inc., where he was in charge of building retail stores. He also had a part-time deejay business called Somethin's Jumpin.' Mr. Kazak was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert and his sister Gloria. Survivors include wife of 38 years Theresa Ann (nee Natariano); children David R. (Kristin Murphy) and Michelle L. Kazak; sisters Jeannie (Ben) Quintero and Ann (Dennis) Turczak; brother James Kazak; and best friend Robert (Linda) Woyner. Visitation took place at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Hts., with services at St. James Church and committal at Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elmwood, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.

A funeral Mass for Clara Kozicki of Des Plaines, mother of prominent Des Plaines nun Sister Clare Marie, CSFN, was celebrated Oct. 19 in St. Helen Church. Burial was in St. Adalbert cemetery. Arrangements were by Malec and Sons Funeral Home, Chicago. Clara died at Holy Family Health Center. Surviving, in addition to Sister Clare Marie, are many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Lillian M. Saewert (nee Curtin), 80, of Park Ridge, was held Oct. 19 in St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Park Ridge, Interment followed in Town of Maine cemetery. Arrangements were by Cooney Funeral Home, Park Ridge. She died Oct. 15. She was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Des Plaines Post 2992. She was preceded in death by siblings Mabel (James) Vlastnik and Roy (Isabella) Curtin.

Interment private. Mr. Tansey passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19. He had served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Tansey was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; and his sisters, Jean Stucka and Lorraine Cope.
