Visitation was on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Her husband Francis X.; her children Robert, Mary Ann Collins and Paul (Elizabeth); and her brother James (Betty) preceded Mrs. Curley in death. Her children David (Anne), Patrick (Christine), Stephen (Marsha) and Brian (Laura); her grandchildren Tim Danny, Matthew, Nicholas and Madison; her brother Bernard (Dorothy); and many nieces and nephews incluing Robert Shea and Maggie Curley survive her. GEORGE DEWALD, JR.
Of Mt. Prospect

A funeral service for George A. DeWald, Jr., 64, was held on Friday, Jan. 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Des Plaines. Visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Oehler Funeral Home Des Plaines Chapel. Mr. DeWald, Jr. was born in Chicago on Oct. 15, 1942. He died on Jan. 6 in Arlington Heights. He was a retired Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy, and he worked as a freight expediter for Mediterranean Shipping of Rosemont. Mr. DeWald, Jr. was survived by his brothers Gregory (Barbara) DeWald and Gary (Donna) DeWald, niece Grace DeWald, and nephews Gregory, Jr., George A. III, Geoffrey, and Christopher DeWald.

A funeral service for Hermina Druschba, 71, of Janesville, Wis., formerly of Round Lake Beach, was held Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A private interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery. Ms. Druschba was retired fro R.G. Ray Corporation in Buffalo Grove. She died on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 as a result of a automobile accident. She is survived by her children Paul (Venita), Lynn (John) Martin, Sylvia Whitt and Helga (James) Pritchard, grandchildren Matthew, Elizabeth Whitt, Doug Whitt, Tony Caniglia, and Shane and Jason Martin, great-grandchildren Christian and Joseph Whitt and Brandon and Emma Caniglia, siblings Herta (Al) Kurnbaur, Annie Golden, Erica Trottman, Helga Poulos, and Elfrieda Esburty, and many nieces and nephews.

CAROLYN HALL GOODSELL

A funeral service for Carolyn Hall Goodsell, 67, took place on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Elk Grove Village. Interment will be private in Joliet. Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village. Ms. Goodsell was born on June 5, 1939 in Joliet. She died on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother Herbert and nephew Thomas Partak. She is survived by her children Susan (Dave) Farias and Michael (Co) Goodsell, her grandsons Michael and Matthew Farias, her brothers Richard (Barbara) Hall and Edward (Ruth) Hall, her sister Alice Partak, four nieces, four nephews, three great- nephews and special cousin Doris Fetyko. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Trinity Services, 100 Gougar Rd., Joliet, Ill., a residential facility for mentally handicapped children where her niece Amy resides, are appreciated.

JOHN R. GUSKEY
of Mt. Prospect

A funeral service for John R. "Jack" Guskey, 67, of Mt. Prospect, was held on Saturday, Jan. 13 at St. Cecilia Church. Visitation took place on Friday, Jan. 12 at Friedrichs Funeral Home. Interment will be at All Saints cemetery. Mr. Guskey was born on Mar. 29, 1939 in Chicago. He worked for 46 years as a mechanical engineer in the electronics industry with both Zenith Corporation and Shure Brothers. He was an active member of the Tuesday Mt. Prospect Twilight Golf League, the Thursday Night St. Raymond Golf League, the Chicagoland RC Modelers Incorporated and Fleet 4 Commanders. He died on Jan. 9, 2007. Mr. Guskey is survived by his wife Janice L., children Susan G. (Gregory) Bleidorn and Carolyn A. (Brian) Bleidorn, grandchildren Alyssa, Nicholas, Alexander and Nathan, and brother Donald (Kathy) Guskey.

A funeral service for Marion G. Healey (nee Erickson), 82, took place on Friday, Jan. 12, at Oehler Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington Heights. Ms. Healey was born on Nov. 2, 1924 in Chicago. She died on Jan. 6 in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Angus "Andy" Healey, sister Mae (Paul) Wagner, and brother John (late Alice) Erickson. Ms. Healey was survived in death by her children Janet (Charles) Opperman and Robert (Judith) Healey, grandchildren Jason (Amy) Healey, Tammy Opperman, Heather (Daniel) Heath, David (Kelly) Healey, Scott (Angie) Opperman, and Rachel (Steve) Hartzell, step-great grandchildren Daniel Heath and Nicholas Heath, sisters Jean (late Arthur) Lovgren and Pearl (late Charles) Moritz, and many nieces and nephews.

She worked for 22 years at Resurrection Hospital. She died on Jan. 10, 2007. She is preceded in death by her son Clifford, daughter Patricia Cohen, brothers Herman and Thomas (Carol) Dempsey and sister Dorothy Dempsey and one great granddaughter. Ms. Hinchliffe is survived by her daughters Merrilyn (Thomas) Mack, Peggy Leidig, Celeste (Tobin) Hensgen, her 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

A funeral service for Mary P. Kelly nee Phelps, 94, took place on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Visitation preceded the service. Mrs. Kelly was born on Jan. 20, 1912 in Sandwich Ill. She died at Manor Care of Rolling Meadows on Jan. 14, 2007. Her parents, Claire and Jennie Phelps; her husband Richard; and her sisters Kristine Stiverson and Jane Phelps preceded her in death. Her children Jane Russel, Tom Kelly and Nancy (William) Bruchert; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren survive her. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Cancer Society are appreciated.

Visitation took place yesterday (Tuesday) at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Interment will be at Maryhill cemetery. Mr. Klebek was born on April 9, 1929 in Chicago. He was a veteran and worked as a brick layer. He was also a member of the Niles Golf Club, Niles Senior's Club and the Niles Senior's Golf Club. He died on Jan. 13, 2007 at Resurrection Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary. CARL W. SWANN

A funeral service for Carl W. Swann, 82, of Rolling Meadows, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows. Ms. Swann was born on June 21, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Marine Corp. in the Pacific Theatre. He worked as a lather for many years. He was a Pilgrim in the Moose Lodge, a member of Local 74 Lathers Union, a member of the Marine Corps. League and at the Rolling Meadows Senior Center. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia and sister Mary (Charles) Wilson. Mr. Swann is survived by his daughter Celeste (Larry) Kistler, grandchildren Diane Riggs and Molly Kistler, great-grandchild Makenzie Riggs, and brother Harold (Quanita) Swann.
