A funeral service for Camille M. Di Maggio of Niles, 86, was held Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. John Brebeuf Church. Visitation was held the day before at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Interment was held at Queen of Heaven cemetery. Mrs. Di Maggio was born on Nov. 14, 1920 in Sicily, Italy. She died Saturday, Aug. 4 at Lutheran General Hospital. She worked as a machine operator for Avon. She was also a member of Golden Ages Club. She is survived by her children, Rose A. (Ron) Maczek, and Patricia (Arthur) Thompson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Coombs, Nick (Brandy) Maczek, Michael (Kristine) Maczek, Christine, Nicole, Anthony, Arthur Thompson, Kimberly (Robert) Hindman; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor, Zachary, Kaylee, Cali; sister, Sarah (Jack) Tripoli; sister-in-laws, Rose (Dom) LoVerde and Lou (Carm) DiMaggio; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. DiMaggio was preceded in death by her husband, Nick; sister, Lena (late Casey) Trembinski; and parents, Charles and Patrina (nee Marino) Bruno.

JOANN M. FRIMARK
Sister of Park Ridge Mayor

Joann M. Frimark, 75, older sister of Park Ridge Mayor Howard P. Frimark, died Aug. 11 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where she was a long-time resident. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary Church, Fond du Lac. Cremation will follow with interment in Calvary cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 5-8 p.m. at the Zacherl Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. "She was loved by all and will be greatly missed, " Mayor Frimark said this week. She was a graduate of St. Mary Springs Academy and was employed at Mercury Marine as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and the Daughters of Isabella. "She was an avid collector and her hobbies and interests included genealogy, travel, books, and photography, " the mayor said. In addition to the mayor, she is survived by many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Paul and Mary Halter Frimark. Memorials are requested to the Holy Family Parish, 678 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.

Of Arlington Heights

A funeral service for Emily Ann Holum of Arlington Heights, 6, was held Friday, Aug. 10, at Our Lady of Wayside Church in Arlington Heights. Visitation was held at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. in Arlington Heights. Emily Holum was born on Feb. 14, 2001 in Arlington Heights. She died Thursday, Aug. 2 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. She is survived by her parents, Thomas J. and Robin A. (nee Ramicone); sisters, Nicole and Caroline; grandparents, Carol Ramicone, Ted and Judy Holum; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Chamberlain, Kimberly (Gaylen) Wester, Christine (John) McGinn, Joseph (Mary Jo) Ramicone, and Tracy Dye; and many cousins. Emily Holum was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Ramicone. Interment will be held at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery in Palatine. Memorial contributions may be given to Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

WWII Veteran

A funeral service for William J. Mittelhauser, 87, of Rolling Meadows, will take place Thursday, Aug. 16 at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Acacia Park cemetery in Chicago. Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the funeral home. Mr. Mittelhauser was born on June 28, 1920 in Itasca. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII then worked for Active Neon Electric for many years. He enjoyed his family, gardening, the Cubs, and his friends at Palmers. He was preceded in death by his wife Lavergne C. nee Wilde and his brother Elmer (late Janet) Mittelhauser. He is survived by his children Joanne (Bruce) Mitchell and Eileen (Peter) Elia; his grandchildren Jack (Pardess) Mitchell, Greg (Tracy) Mitchell, Colleen (Derek) Busch, Daniel (Stacy) Mitchell, Kathleen (Alan) Bale, and Jeannie (Ethan) Hunt; his 14 great-grandchildren; his siblings Viola (late John) Hanley and Amanda (late Glenn) Overmeyer. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Children's Memorial Hospital, 2300 Children's Plaza, Chicago, IL 60614 are appreciated.

A funeral service for Peter O'Sullivan of Chicago, 86, was held Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Visitation was held the day before at the same location. Interment was held at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery. Mr. O'Sullivan was born on Apr. 4, 1921 in Yankton, SD. He died Friday, Aug. 10 at Lutheran General Hospital. He worked as a CTA supervisor and also was a U.S. Army veteran.

KATHLEEN PAPPAS
Of Inverness

A funeral service for Kathleen "Kathy" Norma Pappas (nee Fligg), 62, will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home in Palatine. Mrs. Pappas was born on Sept. 27, 1944 in Chicago. She died on Aug. 10, 2007, in Arlington Heights. Her father Walter Fligg preceded her in death. Her husband of more than 40 years Peter; her children Christopher and Jason; her mother Norma; and her siblings Maureen (Jim) Fiorito, Arleen (Ed) Armanetti, and Colleen (Chuck) Caravello survive her. She was the daughter-in-law of Jennie Tortosa, the sister-in-law of Georgia (Lou) Toscano, Margie Milonas, and Dennis Erbes, and the aunt and great-aunt of many. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Y-Me Breast Cancer Organization, 300 W. Adams Ste. 430, Chicago, are appreciated.

A funeral for Erika Reschny (nee Koenig) of Mt. Prospect, 63, was held Tuesday, Aug. 14, at St. Raymond de Penefort Church in Mt. Prospect. Visitation was held the day before at Friedrichs Funeral Home in Mt. Prospect. Interment was held at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery in Palatine. Mrs. Reschny was born on Apr. 11, 1944 in Yugoslavia. She died Friday, Aug. 10 at Northwest Community Health Care. She is survived by her husband, Walter; children, Eric (Sandy) and Karen (Mike) Hrbacek; grandchildren, Brittany and Emmi Reschny, and Stefanie, Steve and Katie Hrbacek; and sister, Anni Schmitz. Mrs. Reschny was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Maria (nee Temmer) Koenig; and brother, Andy Koenig.

ARTHUR SCHEEL

A funeral service for Arthur Scheel of Niles, 88, was held Thursday, Aug. 9, at St. John Brebeuf Church. Visitation was held the day before at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Mr. Scheel was born on Feb. 7, 1919 in Chicago. He died Saturday, Aug. 4 at his home. He was a sales manager for a water treatment company. He was also a member of the Niles Senior Men's Club. He is survived by his wife, Elaine (nee Drinhaus); son, Kenneth (Linda); granddaughter, Jane; and sister-in-law, Florence Mose. Mr. Scheel was preceded in death by his son, Donald; parents, William and Josephine (nee Mausch); and brother, Kenneth. Interment was held at Maryhill cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

SARAH WATSON

A funeral service for Sarah Frances Watson (nee Allen) of Park Ridge, 84, was held Saturday, Aug. 11, at Nelson Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Visitation was held the day before at the same location. Mrs. Watson died Wednesday, Aug. 8. She is survived by her husband, Rev. James R.; children, Ruth (Richard) Griffith, Ruby (David) Mason, Rachel (Paul) Nedbalek, Lorraine (Samuel) Scoma, and James E.; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and brother, Clarence. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby, Lucille, Charles and Robert (Ruth). Interment was held at Arlington cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northwest Assembly of God Mission Fund or the Alzheimer's Assoc. are appreciated.

ARTHUR L. ANDERSON
Marine veteran, Business owner

A funeral Mass for Arthur L. Anderson, 65, of Arlington Heights, took place Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Arlington Heights. Visitation was Monday, Sept. 17 at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights. Mr. Anderson was born on Apr. 7, 1942 in Chicago. He worked as a printer for more than 32 years then as a handyman and owner of Anderson Decorating. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He enjoyed running, biking, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren. He died on Sept. 13, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. His parents, Charles and Irene nee Majewski Anderson, preceded him in death. His wife of 38 years, Marianne (nee Kowalczyk), his daughters Michele (Steve) Chudik and Kim (Dan) Schmidt, and his grandchildren Quinton, Ella, Maggie, Libby, Emily, and Charlie survive him. In lieu of flowers, contributions to National Foundation for Cancer Research, 4600 East West Highway, Bethesda, Md. 20814 are appreciated.

MARY CROY
of Park Ridge

A memorial Mass for Mary Croy (nee Ragnetti), 92, took place Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment will be private. Mrs. Croy was born on Nov. 11, 1914 in Chicago. She died on Sept. 16, 2007 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Her siblings Leverina Sweeney, Philip and Virgil Ragnetti, and Edith Grenier preceded her in death. Her nieces and nephews Patricia (John) Starzec, James (Dalia) Sweeney, Maria Catullo, Dorothy Ragnetti, Ronald Ragen, and Kenneth Ragnetti survive her. Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge made funeral arrangements.

JANE M. FLORCZAK
of Niles

A funeral service for Jane M. Florczak, 87, took place Wednesday, Sept. 19 at St. John Brebeuf Church. Interment will be at Maryhill cemetery. Visitation was at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Mrs. Florczak was born on May 14, 1920 in Chicago. She worked as a bookkeeper in manufacturing and died at her home on Sept. 16, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents Jane "Jenny" (nee Kelliher) and George Hurley and her sister Mary Cross. She is survived by her husband Marion A. Florczak; her children Janine (Stephen) Timm, Robert (Denise) Florczak, Mark (Lisa) Florczak, and Cathleen (James) Koziol; her grandchildren Brian (Noelle) Florczak, Christopher Timm, Elizabeth (Andrew) Reuland, Lindsay, Laura Jane, Kelsey, and Mark Florczak, Daniel, Timothy, John, and Mary Koziol; and her great-grandchildren Tobias and Sophia Timm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge are appreciated.

STANLEY GONKA
Army veteran of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Stanley Joseph Gonka, 84, took place on Friday, Sept. 21, at Grove Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gonka was born in Chicago. He died on Tuesday, Sept. 18. He was a retired lieutenant with the Chicago Police Dept. and an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Elk Grove for 11 years.

DORIS GRAHAM
of Rolling Meadows

A funeral service for Doris Jean Graham (nee Knapp) of Rolling Meadows, 67, was held Wednesday, Sept. 26 at St. Colette Church. Visitation was held at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows the day before. She was born on June 19, 1940 in Evansville, Ind. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 22 at her residence. She had worked as a secretary at Carl Sandberg Jr. High in Rolling Meadows for over 20 years. She was also a member of the American Goldwing Assoc. Motor Cycle Club. She is survived by her husband, George; children, Raymond, Cheryl (Richard) Terzo, Theresa (Donald) Jones, Gerald (Marla), Donna (Jeffery) Koehnke, David (Sherrie); 13 grandchildren; siblings, Stanley (Ginny) and William (Mary) Knapp and Martha (the late James) Thompson. Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina; and siblings, Francis and Marcellus Knapp. Interment was held at St. Michael cemetery in Palatine.

EMRYS A. JONES
Pearl Harbor survivor from Park Ridge

A funeral service for Emrys A. Jones, 89, will take place today (Wednesday), Sept. 26, at Nelson Funeral Home in Park Ridge with Fr. John Smyth presiding. Interment will be at the Town of Maine cemetery in Park Ridge. Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home. Mr. Jones was a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy during WWII and survived the attack on Pearl Harbor. He died on Sept. 22, 2007. His wife Mitzi and his siblings Elvett Simpson and Olwen Chennell preceded him in death.

LORRAINE A. MEIER
of Park Ridge

A funeral Mass for Lorraine A. Meier (nee Ayotte), 82, took place Monday, Sept. 17 at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment was private. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 16 at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Mrs. Meier was born on Jan. 7, 1925 in Waterbury, Conn. She died on Sept. 13, 2007 in Park Ridge. Her husband Francis J. preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Peter (Janice), Jane (Robert) Hamilton, and Wendy (Greg Kutka); her grandchildren Jeffrey (Myra), Michael, Laura, and Paul Meier, Rob Hamilton, Jessica (Ryan) Bereza, and Melissa Elston; her great-grandchildren James, Lydia and Scott Meier, Kinkade Matthias, Cullen and Allison Bereza; many nieces and nephews; and many in-laws.

CATHERINE NOONE
Of Edison Park

A funeral service for Catherine Mary Noone of Edison Park, 97, took place at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Visitation was the previous day. Interment at Queen of Heaven cemetery. Ms. Noone was born in Laherdane, Co. Mayo, Ireland. She passed away Thursday, Sept. 20. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her beloved children Mary (John) Doherty, Kathleen (Denis) Casey, Barbara (Chris) Nash, Kevin (Diann) Noone, Terrence (Carolyn) Noone, and Gemma (John) Finley, 19 dear grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was fond aunt to many.

JOSEPHINE G. ROZDALOVSKI
formerly of Arlington Heights

A funeral service for Josephine G. Rozdalovski (nee La Presti), 83, took place Saturday, Sept. 22 at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Interment at Memory Gardens cemetery in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Rozdalovski was born on Mar. 11, 1924 in Manitowoc, Wisc. She taught English and Spanish in Fullerton, Neb., before moving to Arlington Heights. She later moved to Schaumburg and died on Sept. 17, 2007 at Friendship Village in that village. Her husband Lester, her children Shirley (Dwight) Fenderson and Mary Jo (Kurt) Glenn, her grandchildren Heather and Amy Fenderson and Nicolle and Bonnie Glenn, and her brother Ned (Betty) Le Presti survive her.

RONALD L. VOGTS
WWII veteran from Arlington Heights

A funeral service for Ronald L. Vogts, 80, took place Wednesday, Sept. 19, at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights. Interment was at Memory Gardens cemetery. Visitation was on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights. Mr. Vogts was born on Apr. 4, 1927 in Kansas City, Mo. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII, was a photographer, and owned Kwik Kopy in Elk Grove Village from 1976 to 1994. He was a former member of the Arlington Heights Kiwanis Club, a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of American, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and bird watching. He died on Sept. 15, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy M. nee Anderson; his children Nancy (David) Bergmann, James (Catherine) Vogts, Patricia (Jeffrey) Tosello, and Mary (Jeffrey) Noga; his grandchildren Kristin, Carrie, Kendra, Martin, Alexandra, Evan, Joseph, Peter, Abby, Madeline, and Nicholas; his brother Arthur Vogts; and his aunt Bernice Wilks.

FREDERICK WIRSING
Air Force veteran of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Frederick Thomas Wirsing of Elk Grove Village and formerly of Des Plaines, 71, was held Monday, Sept. 24 at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village. Visitation was held the same day prior to the service. He was born in Chicago. He passed away Friday, Sept. 21 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. He worked for 15 years at Cervone Welding of Schaumburg as a Tool and Die Maker. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Mildred J. (nee Niemier); children, William T. (Andrea), Tom W. (Kathy); grandchildren, Chloe, Ryan, Sarah and Danny; and brother, Howard (Mary). Mr. Wirsing was preceded in death by his brother, Donald (Esther).
