She passed away Monday, Feb. 4 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. She was a caretaker for a healthcare company. She is survived by her husband, Janusz Mroz; daughter, Marzenna (Arthur) Obrzut; and grandson, Bryce Obrzut.

A funeral mass for Dennis A. Duffy, 67, a former long-time Elk Grove Village resident, will be celebrated tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in St. Julian Eymard Church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Grove Memorial Chapel. A native of Chicago and a recent resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, he died Feb. 3 in his home. He was a member of the American Legion post of Port Charlotte and the Elks Club of Deep Creek. He was a veteran of service in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are children Debbie (Jim) Kuzyk and Meg Miller; grandchildren Stephanie, Miranda, Frances Kuzyk, and Don Miller IV; and a brother, Jack (Helen) Duffy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry A. (nee Steward). Memorials are requested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

A funeral service for Genevieve H. Janka, 92, took place Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. John Brebeuf Church in Niles. Interment was at St. Adalbert cemetery in Niles. Visitation was on Friday, Feb. 8 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Mrs. Janka was born on Mar. 16, 1915 in Chicago. She worked as a self-employed dressmaker and died on Feb. 5, 2008 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Her husband Joseph Janka, her brother Ed, and her parents Louis and Victoria (nee Duda) Horobik preceded her in death. Her sons Mike and Steve (Linda) Janka, her granddaughter Christina (Keven) Wagenknecht, her great-grandchildren Catherine and Heather, and her siblings Ted and Fran survive her.

A funeral service for William C. Klitzke of Elk Grove Village, 89, will be held tomorrow (Thursday), 10 a.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village. Visitation took place Wednesday at the same location. He was born in Chicago He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Arline M. MYRON "BUD" LINDERMAN

Myron "Bud" Linderman, a Des Plaines resident since 1948, died Feb. 8 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Visitation was Monday, Feb. 11, from 3 to 9 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Funeral service Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Des Plaines Bible Church. Interment was in Memory Gardens cemetery, Arlington Hts. Mr. Linderman was born Oct. 19, 1941 in Chicago. He attended South Elementary School, Algonquin Junior High and Maine East High School. Linderman attended Des Plaines Bible Church for 58 years. He was a faithful member and was on the church board. He was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and AWANA leader. He also served as a part-time custodian at the church. For 33 years, Mr. Linderman was a printer at Curtis 1000, Inc. in Rolling Meadows. For the last seven years, he worked part-time at the Des Plaines Park District. He was a Cook County election judge for 30 years and enjoyed volunteering for various activities at Cumberland School. Mr. Linderman was the husband of Kathy (nee Tate) for 42 years; father of Brian (Cherie) Linderman, Kevin Linderman and Beth Linderman; grandfather of Brianna, Benjamin and Abigail Linderman; brother of Lynette (Ken) Gaverth and Del (Rose) Linderman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

30-year resident of Elk Grove Village
A memorial service for Lorraine K. Madsen (nee Knuth) will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove Village with preceding visitation at the chapel from 1 to 3 p.m. Madsen was born in Chicago and died on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at St. Alexius Hospital in Arlington Heights, she was 75 years old. Madsen was a recent resident of Schaumburg who lived in Elk Grove Village for 30 years. She worked for the Chicago Board of Education for 35 years before retiring. Later in life she was a member of the Ambassadors and Advisory Board for the Shiela Ray Seniors. She is survived by her children, Linda A. (Charles) Cavett, Diane K. (Joe) Grabowski and Dean (Jacqueline) Madsen and Steven Wynn; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew and Zachary Cavett, Danielle Grabowski and Kayla Madsen, great-grandchild, Tytus Oswald and beloved dog Benji. He worked as a pattern maker for a clothing company and died on Jan. 31, 2008 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. His brother Harry (late Helen) preceded him in death. His wife of 63 years, Emily (nee Dubinska), his son Paul (Marialisa nee Lovisetto), his grandchildren Joseph and Sarah, his niece Patrice (Steve) Heaton, and many friends survive him.

Wilson was born in Evanston on April 5, 1925 and died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 at Rush North Shore Hospital in Skokie. She was 82 years old. During her life, Wilson worked as an accountant. Helen Wilson is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Susan Hanvey, Donald (Angie) Wilson and Cheryl (Paul) Eisenmenger; grandchildren, Briana and Jesse Hanvey and Evan, Ally and Emmy Eisenmenger and brothers, Paul (the late Annemae) Butzen and Albert (Phyllis) Butzen.

She worked as a secretary for the army and navy commission for the Lutheran Church and was the organist for many wedding and funerals. She passed away on Feb. 4, 2008 at Luther Village. She is preceded in death by husband Harry, her parents Rev. George and Ernestine and sibling Rev. Waldemer. Ms. Windelborn is survived by siblings Rev. Gerhardt, Rev. Alvin, Rev. Milwaukee Ave. Ms. Blaszak was born in Chicago on Sept. 9, 1918. She was a secretary at Arnold Insulation. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club at St. John Brebeuf. Ms. Blaszak was preceded in death by her brother-in-law the late George Prochaska. Her mother, Anna (nee Grezella) Blaszak; father, John Blaszak. Wilma F. Burns, age 75, of Hobart passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008. She was born January 11, 1933 in Seneca, Missouri the daughter of John and Opal Farmer. She was married
to Robert L. Burns on September 24, 1950 in Joplin, MO. Wilma worked as a proof reader for GTE Directories in Des Plaines, IL and also for Coopers and Lebrand in Chicago. Wilma was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Hobart. She also enjoyed bird watching and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Wilma is survived by her loving family; husband Reverend Robert L. Mr. Catania is preceded in death by father Dr. Anthony M.
