Purple Heart recipient of Arlington Hts.
Steve C. Finik was born
in Chicago on Dec. 25, 1919 to Joseph and Anna (nee Bober) Finik. He died
in Arlington Hts. on Mar. 2, 2008. Mr. Finik was an Army veteran having served in World War II. He received a Purple Heart and was awarded three bronze service stars. Mr. Finik was retired from Vaco Products in Chicago after 50 years of employment. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Cole; his grandson, Davidson Cole, his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was the special "grandpa" to Margaret and many special friends and family. He was preceded in death
by his parents and his wife, Flo. Visitation was Friday, Mar. 7, from 3 to 9 p.m., at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., in Arlington Hts. Prayers were said at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 8 at the funeral home and St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Hts. Interment was at St. Adalbert cemetery.
