Mrs. Goetz was born on June 18, 1929 in Chicago. She died Sunday, Mar. 11 at her home. Mr. Gurney was born on Aug. 31, 1932 in Chicago. He died on Wednesday, Mar. 21, in his home. He was a retired systems analyst for Motorola, Inc., with over 30 years of service. A funeral service for Joseph A. Heerens, 80, of Mt. Prospect, will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights. Visitation took place yesterday (Tuesday) at Friedrichs Funeral Home in Mt. Prospect. Interment will be at Memory Gardens cemetery. Mr. Heerens was born on Oct. 27, 1926 in Evanston. He graduated from Carthage College where he played on the tennis, basketball and football team. He then worked as a research scientist for A.B. Dick Co. for over 35 years. He served as the company's credit union president and was active in Toastmasters International. Mr. Heerens was an avid golfer and played in the Mt. Prospect senior and twilight golf leagues. He sang in the Harper College Festival Chorus, the First Presbyterian Church Choir and Mens Choir. He was also active in several Chicago theaters and the Masonic Lodge in Glenview. He passed away Mar. 30, 2007 at his home. Mr. Heerens is survived by his wife Priscilla, children Kathryn (David) Brown, Cynthia (Michael) Richartz and Joseph R. (Anne), grandchildren Barrett Brown, Stephanie Richartz, Nathan Richartz, Dylan Richartz, Vivian Heerens and Joseph W. Heerens and siblings Dr. Robert Heerens and Gertrude Gayner. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his church choir appreciated.

She had resided in Sarasota, Florida for many years. She died on Mar. 26, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. She is preceded in death by her husband Peter. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Dolores) and Peter, granddaughters Deborah (Steve) Raddatz, Renee (Michael) Keenan and Chandra (Thomas) Kearney, great-grandchildren Nicole, Kellie, Justine, Christina and Ryan, sisters Irene Maciorowski and Loretta Mellon and many nieces and nephews.

She worked as a seamstress in the clothing industry. She died on Mar. 28, 2007 in Lexington HealthCare Center in Schaumburg. She is survived by her husband Danilo "Dan", son Danilo (Diane) Jovanovich, daughters Dorothy (Michael) O'Claire, Anna (Mitch) Enderle and Millie (Russell) Molitor, sister Anna Herl, niece Erna Hoenle and her eight grandchildren.

Longtime Des Plaines resident Raymond V. Koehler, 85, died on Apr. 1. Born in Chicago, he graduated from Lane Tech High School and the University of Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army Cops of Engineers for five years including during World War II and Korea. Mr. Koehler was a structural engineer for BP/Amoco for 32 years until his retirement. He resided in Des Plaines since 1949 and was married
for 63 years to his wife, Louise. Mr. Koehler is survived by his wife, Louise, (nee Angell); daughter Kendra Koehler; and grandson Scott Koehler. He was preceded in death by son Glen Koehler. Funeral services will be private.

A funeral service for Ann T. Palicke (nee Kiazura) of Elk Grove Village, 91, was held Tuesday, Mar. 27, at Grove Memorial Chapel. Visitation was held the day before. Mrs. Palicke was born on Apr. 10, 1915 in Chicago. She died Friday, Mar. 23 Manor Care Nursing Center in Elk Grove Village. She was a retired store manager after 40 years of service with Fannie Mae Candies. She was also a former resident of Rolling Meadows for 15 years. She is survived by her children, Doris A. A funeral service for Thomas A. "Tom" O'Donnell, Jr., 80, will take place Saturday, Apr. 14, 10 a.m., at St. Emily Church in Mt. Prospect. Mr. O'Donnell, Jr. was a graduate of Maine Township High School in 1944. He was born on January 15, 1927, and died on Thursday, Mar. 8, in Napa, California. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He loved sports. He was also a resident of St. Helena, California for three years and Juneau, Alaska for over 20 years. Mr. O'Donnell, Jr. was survived by his wife Mary Alice O'Donnell, children Beth Ann (Allen) Graves, Shannon (John) DiFilippo and Tim O'Donnell, sisters Dorothy O'Donnell and Patricia Walsh, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas A., Sr. and Cecilia O'Donnell, Sr., and sisters Mary Jane Mountain and Catherine Schwass. Mrs. Pinkonsly was born on July 11, 1943 in Chicago. She died Saturday, Mar. 24 at Evanston Northwestern Hospital. She worked for Illinois Bell for 27 years before her retirement. She also worked at Carson Pirie Scott in Vernon Hills and was the treasurer of the Gulfstream RV Club. She loved her cats, enjoyed traveling and gardening. She is survived by her siblings, Robert Robison, Rosemarie (Bob) Passi, Ellen (Glenn) Winkler, Michael (Dianne) Robison, and Sharon Alvey; and many nieces and nephews.
