A funeral service for Lovella Shirley Wydeen of Lake Zurich, formerly of Palatine and Wheeling, 80, was held Saturday, Mar. 31 at Glueckert Funeral Home, in Arlington Heights. Visitation was held prior to the service. Mrs. Wydeen was born on Sept. 6, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She died Monday, Mar. 26 at Lexington of Wheeling Healthcare Center. She is survived by her children, Laurie (Steve) Hess, Russ (Bobbie) and Jim (Mary Lou; grandchildren, Jim, Kimberly and Annika Wydeen and Kristin and Greg Hess; siblings, Becca (John) Krey, Dahl House, Penny Kirk, and Nancy Guthrie; sisters-in-law, Jean Mortenson and Barbara Jackson; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wydeen was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D.; parents, Alvin and Blanche (nee Johnson) Guthrie; sister, Bridget (Art) Schultz; brother, Jerry Guthrie; and brothers-in-law, Jim House and Bill Kirk. Interment was private. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, the American Diabetes Association or to charity of choice.

A funeral service for Georgiana P. Yates, 75, of Park Ridge, was held on Tuesday, Mar. 13 at Town of Maine cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday, Mar. 12 at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home. Ms. Yates passed away on Mar. 9, 2007 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Ms. Yates is preceded in death by her husband Carl C. She is survived by daughter Karen Yates (Daniel Lenk).

A funeral service for John E. Zawacki of Palatine, 67, was held Tuesday, Mar. 27 at Glueckert Funeral Home, in Arlington Heights. Visitation was held the day before at the same location. Mr. Zawacki was born on Nov. 14, 1939 in Austin, IL. He died Saturday, Mar. 24 in Palatine. He is survived by his brother, George (Jacquelyn); nephew, Dan (Kathy); nieces, Janet (Mark) Aument, Lyn (Tim) Aguirre and Karen (Jim) Lillig; great nephews and nieces, Zoe, Brittany, Alec, Angela, T.J., Vanessa, Corina, Gavin and Ariana; his caregivers at Glenkirk Senior Center, Ola and Louise and his best friend, Robert. Mr. Zawacki was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie (nee Budz). Interment was held at Resurrection cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Glenkirk.

A funeral service for Phyllis W. Zbylut (nee Slobodzian), 90, took place Friday, Mar. 23, at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mrs. Zbylut passed away on Monday, Mar. 19, at Lutheran General Hospital. She was survived by her husband Edward J., son Donald R., grandchildren James (Alexia), Edward and Steven (Suzanne) Zbylut, great-grandchildren Christopher and August Zbylut, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Joseph Antenore of Niles, 91, was held Monday, Mar. 26 at St. Juliana Church. Mr. Antenore was born on May 2, 1915 in Chicago. He died Saturday, Mar. 24 at Lutheran General Hospital. He was a Quality Control Inspector for Helene Curtis. He is survived by his wife Grace (nee Messina); daughter Judi Cappa; and grandchildren; best papa Joe to Nick, Natalie, Caroline and Samuel. Mr. Antenore was preceded in death by his parents Mary (nee Calabrese) and Luigi; granddaughter Jennie Cappa.

A funeral service for John D. Brandel of Arlington Heights, 85, will be held Friday, Mar. 30, 11 a.m., at St. James Church in Arlington Heights. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Brandel was born on May 19, 1921 in Chicago. He died Wednesday, Mar. 21 in Arlington Heights. He was a Marine, serving four years in the south Pacific during WWII. He was also a member of the Carpenters Local #181 for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; siblings, Donald, Richard (Eileen) and Grace Campbell; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Margaret Colleen Chouinard (nee Schilling), 91, was held Monday, Mar. 26 at Our Lady of Ransom Church. Interment was held at Queen Of Heaven cemetery. Mrs. Chouinard was born on Dec. 15, 1915 in Council Bluffs, IA. She died Friday, Mar. 23 at Oakton Pavillion Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband LeRoy; children Judith (Margaret) Perillo, Judith (Pat) Perillo, Arlene (Ronald) Cassidy; grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Chouinard was preceded in death by her parents Cecil Mae (nee Ferritor) and Edward J.; grandson James Perillo; and sister Mary Ruth Johnson.

She passed away on Mar. 22, 2007 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. She is preceded in death by her brother Tim (Patricia) Lonergan. Mr. Fearon, a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club, died on Tuesday, Mar. 20. He was survived by his wife Marion (nee Sharkey), children Casey Foley and Timothy Fearon, step-children Robert Badgley and Joyce (Gary) Gallas, and grandchildren Shannon Foley and Mark and Brian Gallas. He was also a dear brother and uncle to many brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Lillian F. Godecker of Arlington Heights, 95, will be held today Saturday, Mar. 31, 11 a.m., at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., in Arlington Heights. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be private. Mrs. Godecker was born on Sept. 19, 1911 in Chicago. She died Friday, Mar. 23 at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Mrs. Godecker lived in San Francisco, CA. and Melborne, FL. as a young girl. She joined the Order of the Eastern Star in 1935. She was the Grand Representative of Delaware in 1950 for the State of Illinois. She was also a Grand Lecturer Emeritus of the State of Illinois and Grand Esther of the State of Illinois in 1958. She was a resident of Sarasota, Fla. from 1982-2004. She is survived by her children, Frances E. (Edward) Stewart and Nancy Johnson-Lenz (Norman); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, her brother, Col. Joseph J. Massett, USAF Ret.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Godecker was preceded in death by her husbands, Everett Elliott Krafft, Leonard Clevenger and Jeff Godecker; her parents Donald and Frances Massett; and her sister, Geraldine Weiberlis.

Mrs. Goggin was born on Mar. 7, 1937 in Kansas City, Mo. She died Mar. 14. She was an employee of United Airline food services for 32 years before she retired. She is survived by her husband James D. Goggin III; children James "Danny" (Rebecca) Goggin IV and Margaret (Frank) Feiter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The interment was held at St. Joseph's cemetery in River Grove. Mrs. Kasbohm was born on May 19, 1937 in Italy. She died Mar. 16 in Arlington Heights. He was survived by his wife Yolanda, son Gregory (Ivelisse), step-children Marianne (Robert) Crisol, Melvyn (Belen), Michael (Benny), Marlon and Mathews Hizon and Michelle (Rolando) Pingul, 15 grandchildren, sister Vivian (Eugene) Bruggenan, and sister-in-laws Helen and Renata Lynch. Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his first wife Betty.

A funeral service for Thaddeus R. MacCartie, Jr., 92, is scheduled to take place today (Wednesday), 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Church in Des Plaines. Mr. MacCartie was born on Aug. 21, 1914 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He died on Sunday, Mar. 25, in his home. He worked as a head upholstery buyer for John M. Smyth in Chicago. He was also a member of the 3d Order of St. Francis. Mr. MacCartie was survived by his children Tad (Mary Jane) MacCartie, Kathy (Lou) Piazza, Mary MacCartie, Martha (Patrick) Hum, David MacCartie and Margaret (late Timothy) MacCartie-Murphy, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary "Liz" MacCartie (nee Samuels) and sister Minnie MacCartie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are appreciated.

A funeral service for William P. Plocinski of Arlington Heights, 96, was held Saturday, Mar. 17 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church. Mr. Plocinski was born on Apr. 23, 1910 in Chicago. He died at his home Mar. 13. He enjoyed fishing, pool, traveling and fine food. At age 80 he became a driver for an airline ticket service. He is survived by his children Walter (Darlene), Joan Jarvis and Marilyn (Sam) Novak; grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mr. Plocinski was preceded in death by his wife Anne (nee Gornik). The interment was held at St. Adalbert cemetery.

A funeral service for Robert R. Riefenberg, 78, took place Thursday, Mar. 22, at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home. Mr. Riefenberg died on Sunday, Mar. 18, at Lutheran General Hospital. He was a longtime employee of the East Maine School Dist. 63, as well as a member of the Niles VFW Post 7712 and the Paul Revere Masonic Temple Lodge #998 A.F. and A.M. He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Riefenberg was survived by his brother Al, sister Mary Lou (late John) Emmert, friend Shirley Curington, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald C. (Gloria J.) Riefenberg.

A funeral mass and visitation for William H. Rossol, 82, formerly of Elk Grove Village, took place at Queen of the Rosary Church. Interment at St. Adalbert cemetery in Niles. Mr. Rossol was born May 4, 1924 in Chicago. He retired from Continental Bank of Chicago after 22 years of service. He also worked as an electrician for Reynold's Metals in McCook from 1950-1960. An Elk Grove Village resident for 35 years, he passed away Thursday, Mar. 15 at Alterra Retirement Home in Kenosha, Wi. Mr. Rossol is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Rossol nee Martin, children David (Lee Ann) Rossol, Joanna (Jack) Gibbons and Diane VanDerWeele, his fond brother Vernon (Rosalie) Rossol, his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and neighbors.

Mr. Rutkowski was born on April 2, 1931 in Chicago. He was a Korean War Veteran as part of the Marines and later worked as a quality control employee at a dairy company. He died on Friday, Mar. 16, 2007 at Northwest Community Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents Anton and Angeline, sister Lorraine (late Joseph) Smreczak and Marilyn (Bud) Skaja. Mr. Rutkowski is survived by his wife Evelyn M., son Mark (Terry), daughter Trudy, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
