EDWARD VICTOR JEROMINSKI
WWII Veteran
Our husband, father, grandfather and excellent friend left this life on March 31, 2003 at the age of 81. Edward Victor Jerominski was born in Chicago, Illinois (Bucktown) on Aug. 6, 1921 to Walter Jerominski and Alexandra Klepacki Sadowski. He attended St. Hedwig parochial school and Weber High in Chicago and completed his GED in 1980 at Lombard, Illinois. On Aug. 6, 1943, Ed married
Mary Jane Miller in Rapid City, South Dakota. The couple met in Denver, Colorado during WW II. Ed served in the Army Air Corps, 8th Air Force, 398th Bomber Group, stationed in England for 14 months. He was well decorated in action and discharged at the rank of Staff Sargent. Ed lived and most of his married
life in Palatine, the Northwest suburb of Chicago, and worked in Chicago at AM Steigerwald Company, vice president in charge of production until he retired in 1985. He and Jane also lived in Mt. Prospect and Hinsdale, Illinois. Ed and Jane moved to Belen, New Mexico in 1991. Besides his work and family, Ed had other interests. He coached and volunteered in Little League and served as an officer for his bowling league. He was an avid golfer and organized tournaments sponsored by his company. He also volunteered in service of the needy and elderly. Ed always was aware of the importance of his roles as son, brother, spouse, and especially father. He is survived by his wife Mary Jane, son, Charles (Mary); daughter, Diana (Doug Jones) and grandson, Michael (Kristen Lockhart) Jerominski. Private services were held in Belen, New Mexico.

Funeral services for Helen E. Franzen (nee Pump), 87, a lifelong resident of Des Plaines were held Monday, Apr. 7 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church in Des Plaines. Interment followed at the Town of Maine cemetery in Park Ridge. Arrangements were handled by the G. L. Hills Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Mrs. Franzen was born on Feb. 29, 1916 in Maine Township. She was a homemaker, member of the Christ Church Guild, carious card clubs, and enjoyed creating crafts and crocheting. She passed away on Wednesday, Apr. 2 at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Mrs. Franzen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Franzen; and her siblings, Herbert (Marjorie) Pump, Elmer (Florence) Pump, and Lucille (Ervin) Geils. She is survived by her son, Howard W., Jr. (Diane) Franzen; grandchildren, Howard W., III (Pamela) Franzen, Sara D. Franzen; and her loving nieces and nephews.
STEPHANIE S. MADEJCZYK

A mass for Stephanie S. Madejczyk, 91, of Mt. Prospect, was held Monday, April 7, at St. Cecilia Church in Mt. Prospect. Mrs. Madejczyk died Thursday, April 3. Interment was in Maryhill cemetery. Mrs. Madejczyk was preceded in death by her husband Stanley and sister Mary Slonina. She is survived by her children Edward (Joyce) Madejczyk and Diana (James) Murray; grandchildren Kenneth (Mary Ann) Madejczyk, Lori (Joseph) Meyer, Mark (Holly) Wawrzyniak and Jaime (Stan) Dzierzega; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Melissa, Christopher and Jessica; and nephew Richard Slonina. Arrangements were made by Friedrichs Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass for John L. Bonini, 85, of Niles, was celebrated on Apr. 5 at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment was private. Ms. Bonini was born in Chicago on Nov. 28, 1917, and passed away on Thursday, Apr. 3, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Ms. Bonini had been the proprietor of Bonini Baking Co. of Elmwood Park and Chicago. He is survived by his daughter, Alice (Thomas) Henningsen, of Wheeling; his sons, John (Vivian) Bonini and Allen (Debbie) Bonini; his sister, Lillian (the late Frank) Speciale; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Bonini was preceded in death by his wife, the late Gilda Bonini; and his parents, the late Pietro and Alice Bonini. Arrangements were handled by the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles.

Arrangements were handled by the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Mrs. Kuechenberg died Thursday, April 3 in her home. Interment followed in the Town of Maine cemetery in Park Ridge. Mrs. Kuechenberg is survived by her son, Kenneth Falkson; stepfather, Robert (late Kathryn) Gottschalk; sister, Linda (Tom) Trull; and niece, Stephanie Tolander.

Funeral services for Raymond J. Rusk, 90, of Park Ridge were held on Saturday, Apr. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge. Interment followed in All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Arrangements were handled by the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home in Niles. Mr. Rusk was born in Chicago on June 22, 1912. He worked the chairman of the board for a graphic arts company. He passed away in his Park Ridge home on Wednesday, Apr. 2. Mr. Rusk was preceded in death by his son, Thomas (Greta) Rusk and his brothers, Edward Rusk and Charles F. Rusk. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Rusk; and his son Kenneth (Nancy) Rusk.

A funeral service for Victoria Skrzenta, 94, of Niles was held on Wednesday, Mar. 26 at St. Andrew Nursing Center. Visitation was held at the center. Burial took place at Maryhill cemetery in Niles. Mrs. Skrzenta was born on Nov. 28, 1908 in Thorp, Wi. and died in Chicago at Resurrection Medical center on Mon, Mar. 24. She was a repair person for a wells gardner company. She is survived by son, James (late Carol) Skrzenta; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and sister, Sophie Mikaloinis. She was preceded in death by husband, Frank and child, Joan (Ronald) Eklund.

Mrs. Liss was born in Chicago on July 29, 1922, and passed away on Saturday, May 31, at her home in Des Plaines. Mrs. Liss had worked as a school clerk. She is survived by her niece, Linda Touhy, of Chicago. Mrs. Liss was preceded in death by her husband, the late Casimir Liss; and her parents, the late Anthony and the late Ann Milanowski. A funeral service for Martha L. Wolf, a resident of Green Acre Lodge in Holiday Island, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Des Plaines, was recently held. Mrs Wolf died on Thursday, May 29 at home. Local arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service, Berryville, Arkansas. Interment took place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida. In Chicago, in 1925 Mrs Wolf was married
to her husband, Herman Wolf who preceded her in death. Herman and son, Wayne had an auto dealership on Lee St. in Des Plaines. The Wolfs were early settlers in Des Plaines. Mrs Wolf is survived by son, Wayne R. (Diane); grandsons, William (Socorro), Richard R. Neuckranz and Thomas H. Neuckranz (Virginia); granddaughters, Annette Wolf Adamski; great grandchildren, Carolyn, Lukas and Sophia and Kristin, Laura and Erika.

A funeral service for Eleanor DeZur, 84, of Niles, was held Tuesday, June 17, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Park Ridge. Burial was at St. Luke cemetery. Mrs. DeZur was a retired employee of Jewel food stores. Survivors include her son Dennis (Liz) Dezur and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond and brothers Edwin and George Schmidt.

A funeral service for David Gall, 67, of Niles, was held Tuesday, June 10, at St. Juliana Church in Chicago. Interment was at St. Adalbert Mausoleum, and arrangements were made by Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Chicago. Mr. Gall died June 6. He had worked as a senior system analyst for Aon Corp., and was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife Nancy; mother Lydia; mother-in-law Harriet Grek; brother Ronald (Marge) Gall; brother-in-law Rev. Richard Grek; sister-in-law Roberta (Gene) Dieder; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment followed in Des Plaines' All Saints cemetery. Mr. O'Malley was born in Chicago on February 6, 1974. He worked as a painter for a construction company. He passed away Monday, May 26 in his Niles home. Mr. O'Malley was preceded in death by his father, John O'Malley. He is survived by wife, Theresa nee Cruzen; son, Tony Martinka; brother, Rudolph (Diane) Martinka and sisters, Sister Antonetta Martinka and Marie (Morris) Gibbs. He was preceded in death by son, Steven Martinka.

Mrs. Kroll had been an active volunteer at St. Maryis parish while living in Des Plaines, and later, after retirement, at St. Peteris parish in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She is survived by her children Kathy (Terry) Reilly, Fred (Lynne) Kroll, Greg Kroll, and Peggy Kroll; grandchildren Patrick and Katie Reilly and Brandi Kroll; sister Patricia (Ron) Ringenberg; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Mrs. Kroll was preceded in death by her husband Fred Kroll, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
