Funeral services for Lorraine J. Lee, 83, of Park Ridge, were held on Monday, Nov. 17 at Maryhill cemetery. Born in Chicago on July 30, 1915, Mrs. Lee passed away on Nov. 13 at Resurrection Medical Center. She had been a homemaker. Mrs. Lee is survived by her niece, Sharon Symcak of Chicago; brother, Joseph (Lillian) Syms; and many nieces and nephews throughout Illinois, Arizona, and California. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Edmund Lee; her parents, the late Jacob and Mary Symcak; daughter, the late Carol Lee; brothers, the late Frank (Lillian) Symcak and the late Walter Symcak; and sister, the late Eleanor Symcak. Funeral services were held for George S. Bachar, 80, of Des Plaines, on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Plaines. Reverends Julie K. Hogie and George M. Schelter officiated. Interment followed at Irving Park cemetery. Born in Chicago on Feb. 8, 1923, Mr. Bachar passed away Nov. 8 in Des Plaines. After serving as a signalman aboard the U.S.S. Casablanca during World War II, he went on to a career as a technician in the electronics industry. Mr. Bachar is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (nee Alt); children, Janice (Tom) Wisocki, Wayne (Marilyn), and Robert (Corrine) Bachar; grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Miller, Laurie (Fred Thielemann) Bachar, Kristin (Todd) Schmidt, Karen (Scott) Weber, Daniel, Ellen, and Peter Bachar; great-grandchildren, Cameron Schmidt; sister, Julia; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Chicago on Nov. 5, 1934, Mr. Bolger passed away on Nov. 16 at his home in Niles. A veteran of the U.S. military, he was formerly employed by Bohemian National cemetery, and had been a member of The Ambassadors of Mary. Mr. Bolger is survived by his nieces and nephews, Cathy Cannon, Judy (Todd) Kantorowicz, Jay (Maureen) Cannon, John (Judy) Scheckel, Daniel (Janet) Scheckel, Michael (Ricki) Scheckel, Marilyn (the late Tony) Alevras, Joan (Tom) Cooney, Daniel (Mary) Bolger, and Phillip (Peggy) Bolger; 22 great-nieces and nephews; 7 great-great- nieces and nephews; and his dog, Beau. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Theresa (nee Jacobs) and the late Daniel P. A funeral mass for George Campbell (Cam) Nisbet, 66, of Mt. Prospect, was celebrated Nov. 22 in St. Alphonsus Church, Prospect Hts. Burial was private. Arrangements were by the Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Hts. A native of St. Louis, he died Nov. 18 in his home. He was a buyer for Sears Roebuck in Chicago for 29 years until his retirement in 1990. He was recently employed by Volkswagen Credit in Libertyville for 10 years. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and participated in many civic, school and church activities. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Marjorie A. August 17, 1960 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Also surviving are his children, . A memorial service for Philip A. Schloss Jr., 80, formerly of Des Plaines, was held Nov. 22 in Bentonville, Arkansas, where he lived in recent years. Burial was private. Arrangements were by the Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas. A native of Chicago, he died Nov. 9 in a retirement home in Bentonville. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired as a colonel. A graduate of DePaul University, he worked as business manager of the law firm of Jenner & Block until 1976. A funeral service for Dorothy A. Brock, 83 of Park Ridge, was held Nov. 22 at G.L. Hills Funeral Home. Interment was private and occurred in Chillicothe, Ohio. Born on Sept. 4, 1920 in Chillicothe, Ohio, Mrs. Brock retired as a reservationist after 20 years of work, she was also a part-time teacher in college and created garden figures and crafts. Mrs. Brock is formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She passed away Nov. 19 in Park Ridge Care Center. Mrs. Brock is preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Rumfield, Margaret (Cy) Parks, Jean Brock and her sister-in-law, Agnes Brock. She is survived by her brother, Fred Brock; her nieces and nephews, David (Angie) Rumfield, Karen (Raymond) Brown and Mary (the late Gene) Nurre; along with eight great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Conrad Utecht, 86, of Oostburg, formerly of Des Plaines, were held June 2 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg. Born May 20, 1918, in Chicago, Mr. Utecht served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He married
Marcella V. Beluch in Chicago and worked as a clock repairman for many years. Mr. Utecht is survived by one daughter, Louise (Eric) Lusty; two sons, Conrad "Sonny" (Deborah) Utecht and Richard (Niki) Utecht; eight grandchildren, Cassandra (Petr) Hrdlicka, Marcella Utecht, Delores Utecht, Adam Lusty; Joe, Kaitlyn, Kelli, and Courtney Burke; three great-grandchildren, Allyssa Utecht, Kylee LaFalce and Jocelyn Burke; and one sister-in-law, Catherine Chovanec. Services were held for Rudolph L. Schwinn, 74, of Niles May 24 at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home. Interment in St. Luke cemetery, 5300 N. Pulaski Rd. Mr Schwinn, who was born March 23, 1930 in Germany died May 16, in Hinsdale Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Morton Grove American Legion Post #134. Mr Schwinn worked as a mechanical engineer for Schwinn Bicycle Co. He was a descendant of the company founder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helene and his siblings, Hans and Louise. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (Richard) Donovan; grandchildren, Peter & Katie Donovan and nieces; Ingrid (Hans) Frederici, Karen (Tom) Kinsella.
