WALTER ALLEN SR.
Walter L. Allen Sr., 91, of Villa Park, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999 at home.
Funeral services and intermenty were private.
Mr. Allen was father of Eloise (Don) Lucas, Walter J. Jr. (Deb), Geoffrey (Tammy); grandfather of four; great-grandfather of four; great-great-grandfather of two; brother of Arthur (Mary), Mary Beatty, and Noble (Naomi). He was preceded in death by his wife, Arveda; and his brothers and sisters, Gladys, John, Monzell, Glen, and Dale.
Mr. Allen was the owner of Allen's Schwinn bicycle shop in Villa Park.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park.
THOMAS BONFIELD
Thomas E. Bonfield, 58, of Wheaton, formerly of Roselle, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 S. Rush in Roselle with Rev. Robert Myers officiating. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Roselle.
Mr. Bonfield was husband of Dianna; brother of James (Donna), Michael, Emmett, Noreen (Arthur) Stipan and Nancy; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bonfield was a resident of Wheaton for seven months and was formerly of Roselle and Itasca. He had worked for Miller Brothers Lumber Company in Chicago in inside sales for over 10 years. Mr. Bonfield was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle.

ROBERT BOOTH
Robert L. Booth, 85, of Elmhurst, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, with Rev. Jack Kane Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Booth was husband of Mildred; father of Barbara (Harry) Pinto, Kenneth, and Joseph; and brother-in-law of Anthony Quatrone.
Mr. Booth was a resident of Elmhurst and was formerly of Villa Park and Melrose Park. He retired from International Harvester in 1979 after 33 years in the purchasing department as a material scheduler. Mr. Booth was a veteran of WWII, having served in the anti-aircraft branch of the U.S. Army.
ALOIS BRAJE
Alois T. "Lou" Braje, 80, of Villa Park, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Braje was father of Thomas (Judy), Craig (Sharon) and Mark; grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of one; brother of Frank (Rose) Braje; and uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal.
Mr. Braje was an Army veteran who served in WWII. He had been retired after working 42 years as a drafting manager for Commonwealth Edison.

DOUGLAS BURNSIDE
Douglas Burnside, 57, of Villa Park, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services and intermenty were private.
Mr. Burnside was husband of Judith; father of Beth, Carol, and Robert (Malin); grandfather of Justin; brother of Leroy (Sheila) and Susan (DeWayne) Broadhead; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Burnside was a technician for a communications company.
Memorials would be appreciated to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital's Memorial Fund.

PATRICK CARPENTER
Patrick M. Carpenter, 67, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999 at Bloomingdale Pavilion Nursing Home in Bloomingdale.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 23, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard with Rev. Arno Dennerlein of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Carpenter was husband of Angeline; father of Kevin; brother of Patsy (Ray) Bensfield, Bonnie (Pat) Cimaglia, Larry and Bernard; uncle of many nieces and nephews; and great-uncle of many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Mr. Carpenter was a resident of Lombard for 29 years. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Carpenter was a member of the Teamster Union Local #705 and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

GEORGE HAVLIK
George A. Havlik, 83, of Lombard, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 25, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Havlik was father of Marjorie, Suzanne (Richard) Thomas, Janet (Ronald) Ruetsche, and Mary Jane (Arthur) Lipske; grandfather of nine; and great-grandfather of one. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel and sons, George "Bud" and Paul.
Mr. Havlik was a retired systems analyst for the gas company.
DONALD HOLTZ
Donald C. Holtz, 72, of Carol Stream, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999 at Wynscape Nursing Home in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, to Mass at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bloomingdale with Rev. Luis Gutierrez officiating. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
Mr. Holtz was father of Donna (Paul) Nolan and Carl (Karla); grandfather of four; brother of Mildred (John) Ponsiano; brother-in-law of Albert Reilly; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah, and his sister Dorothea.
Mr. Holtz was a resident of Carol Stream for 24 years. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and a member of Millwrights Local #1693.
