Sandra J. Schultz, 57, of Naperville died Friday, July 23, 2004, at her home after a four-year battle with kidney cancer. She was born Jan. 27, 1947, in Detroit.
Sandy had been a resident of Naperville for the past 22 years. She spent 20 years working with Naperville School District 203 and, most recently, in the dean of discipline's office at Naperville North High School. She always brought a sense of enthusiasm and fun to everything she did, and the teachers, students and staff at NNHS enjoyed and respected her for that. A perfect example was her participation in the annual "Air-Band" competition, where everyone always looked forward to her performances (and we've got the tapes to prove it).
She had been a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville since moving here. In the last few years in particular, she got to know well the pastoral staff and many of the members, all of whom provided her with comfort and solace.
During her fight with cancer, she exhibited an unbelievable level of courage. Through all the surgeries, treatments, scans, medications and endless doctor visits, she always maintained a sense of hope and commitment to fight with everything she had - even to the very end. We will all miss her so very much and pray that she is now at peace and at rest in her heavenly home.
