Edward D. Loukota
Edward D. Loukota, 59, a 17-year resident of Naperville and formerly of Lombard, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Alden Healthcare Center in Naperville. He was born July 6, 1945, in Elmhurst.
He was a retired electrical engineer for Fluor and Sargent and Lundy. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (Burke); loving stepfather of Kelly (husband Louis) Burke Leonetti and Laury Burke; proud grandfather of Ashley and Hannah; beloved son of Pauline and the late Edward; dear brother of Carole (husband Donald) Housholder; and fond uncle of Steven (wife Laura) Housholder.
Family and friends will gather at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, for a memorial service at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., Naperville.

Mary T. Mahoney
Mary T. (Turrise) Mahoney, 99, of Naperville died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004.
She was a retired Chicago Public Schools teacher, after 40 years of service.
She is survived by a son, George (wife Claudia), and a granddaughter, Anne Marie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and two brothers, Charles and Michael Turrise.
Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, and proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial.
Interment will be at Clarendon Hills cemetery in Darien.
Mark Keith 'Casey' Brown
Mark Keith Brown, known as "Casey" to his friends, 82, of Naperville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at his home in Hennepin. He was born April 22, 1922, in Dickinson, N.D., and came to Naperville in 1924.
He was a graduate of Naperville Community High School, where he lettered all four years in basketball and football and lettered three years in track. He was captain of the basketball team in 1941 and still holds school records.
Mr. Brown worked for Kroehler Manufacturing Co. in Naperville for 31 years as an industrial engineer and superintendent. After his retirement, he enjoyed being a crossing guard for Naperville School District 203 at River Woods Elementary School, and he received a special award for his service to the district. Mr. Brown coached Little League, was a Cub Scout Den "Mother," coached basketball at SS Peter and Paul School and football at St. Raphael School, and he enjoyed dancing, camping with friends and family, and telling jokes.
He was a member of Naperville Moose Lodge 1290 and St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville. All who knew him will always remember his great personality, wit and humor.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth (wife Edie) Brown of Hennepin, Gary (wife Maggie) Brown of Escondido, Calif., Randy Brown of Naperville, Karen (husband John) Barrett of Arkdale, Wis., Diane (husband Jeff) Cain of Oswego; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sam (wife Joan) Brown of Naperville, Ronald (wife Nancy) Brown of Greenville, Texas, and Douglas Brown of Zion; and two sisters, Fay Ginther of Oklahoma and Sylvia Glafenhein-Roy of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Ruth (Zaininger) Brown; a son, Greg Alan Brown; his parents, Cecil and Adeline (Briggs) Brown; and four sisters, Marjorie Kreitz, Betty Kellet, Georgia Lester and Carol Balla.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. Interment will be private.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home.

Wayne Morgan Pontious
Wayne Morgan Pontious, 76, a former resident of Naperville, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at The Arbors in Ormond Beach, Fla. He was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Chicago to Leslie and Myrtle Pontious.
He served in the U.S. Army in Japan as an orthopedic medic and later graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. He worked in heavy steel construction in Illinois as president of Kenwood Construction Co. for 22 years. He and his wife, Louise, moved from Naperville to Ocala, Fla., in 1979 upon his retirement, and later joined his two sons in Ormond Beach, Fla., where he lived for the past four years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ocala and enjoyed raising and training horses, playing golf and fishing.
He is survived by his three children, Jeffrey Pontious and Robert "Rob" (wife Cheryl) Pontious of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Karen (husband Brad) Luger of Tampa, Fla.; his eight grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan and Rachael Pontious and Charlie, Claire, Chandler, Cayley and Carley Luger; and his sister, Ann (husband Harris) Walker of Lake Forest.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Louise, who passed away in February 1995.
A graveside funeral service will be held the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 27, at National cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.

William H. Stillwell, 83, a lifetime resident of Downers Grove and winter resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and summer resident of Lac du Flambeau, Wis., died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove. He was born June 9, 1921, in Illinois
He was a veteran of World War II, having served from 1942 to 1945. He was president of Stillwell Buick, formerly Baughman Buick, which he purchased at 40 years of age. He sold Stillwell to his son, John, in the 1980s. He was past president of Chicago Buick Dealers Association, active at 1st Baptist Church of Downers Grove and Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters Susette (husband Mark) Driscoll of Cambridge, Mass., Laurel (husband James) Harris of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Mary (husband Nelson) Wilner; sons, John W. (wife Peggy) of Lisle and Jerry Lee (wife Martha) of Elkhorn, Calif.; grandchildren, Nathan, William, Brook, Ryan (wife Hilary), and Sarah Stillwell, James and Julie Harris, and Benjamin and Anna Wilner; sister, MaryEllen Schiller of Downers Grove; and brother, Robert (wife NormaLea) Stillwell of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; and parents, William and Edna.
Visitation and took place Thursday, Oct. 28, at Toon Funeral Home, Downers Grove.
A funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 29, at 1st Baptist Church.
Interment followed at Clarendon Hills cemetery, Darien.

Joyce I. Grimley
Joyce I. Grimley, 72, an 11-year resident of Batavia and formerly of Naperville, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She grew up in Brooklyn, was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School and attended Brooklyn College. She was an avid sports fan and reader and enjoyed a good conversation.
She is survived by her husband, John R., whom she married
Nov. 21, 1951; her two sons, Dr. Jeffrey (wife Julie) Grimley of Naperville and Richard (wife Diane) Grimley, also of Naperville; and six grandchildren, Kevin, Shannon, Joel, Chris, Ben and Danny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Elsine Mallin.
Visitation will take place from 1 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A private funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home.
A private family interment will take place at the Naperville cemetery in Naperville.

Jean E. Sollenberger
Jean E. Sollenberger, 79, of Maple Park passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born Christmas Day 1924 in Addison.
She grew up on a farm near Itasca, where her education began at "Puddin' Hill" country school along with three other classmates. In 1940 her family left the farm and moved to Naperville, where Jean graduated from high school with the class of 1943.
On June 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Robert Sollenberger at Methodist-Episcopal Church in Naperville. They made their home in Naperville until 1954 when they moved Ypsilanti, Mich. In 1962, the family returned to Illinois and settled in Lombard. The family moved to St. Charles in 1967 and then moved to their present home in Maple Park in 1987.
She was active in church. As a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lily Lake, she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. In later years, she made many friends at Grace United Methodist Church in Maple Park, where she enjoyed quilting and sharing in the life and ministry of the church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; five children, Debra (husband Andrew) Haglund of St. Charles, Dora Willing of St. Charles, David (wife Lori) Sollenberger of Wauconda, Amy Hoffman of St. Charles and John (wife Colleen) Sollenberger of St. Charles; grandchildren Emily, Jane, Hillary, Allison, Lindsay, Ryan, Lydia, Mitchell, Erik, Mark, Clair and Michael; twin siblings, Allen "Johnny" (wife Glenda) Fellows of Tampa, Fla., and Allene (husband Michael) Cawley, also of Tampa; brother-in-law Wilfred "Bill" (wife Wilma) Sollenberger of Alpharetta, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Janet (Gunsolus) Fellows; one sister, Marjorie Fellows; and one nephew, Steven Sollenberger.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Grace United Methodist Church, East Willow Street, Maple Park, and from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at the church.
Interment will follow at Ohio Grove cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Benson of Grace United Methodist Church and longtime friend and former pastor the Rev. Ernst Rex of Grace Lutheran Church in Lily Lake will officiate.

Eleanor S. Clementz
Eleanor S. Clementz, 93, of Naperville died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born on Sept. 18, 1911, in Quincy.
She had been a Naperville resident since 1938 and was employed by the Naperville school district as cafeteria manager at Naperville Central High School, retiring in 1977. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church and was a member of the Farm Bureau Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and brothers Ben, Charlie, Russ and Bob Flotkoetter.
Visitation is set for 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Interment will be at SS Peter and Paul cemetery in Naperville.

Lorenzo Alfonso Marasco
Lorenzo Alfonso Marasco, infant son of Alfonso and Jacqueline Ann (McCarthy) Marasco of Naperville, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Anthony, and a sister, Anastasia Marasco; his maternal grandmother, Sue McCarthy of Morris; his maternal grandfather, Michael McCarthy of Plainfield; his paternal grandfather, Guisseppe "Joe" (wife Giovanna) Marasco of Lansing; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anastasia Marasco.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 24021 W. Royal Worlington Drive (Route 59), Naperville. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Risen Lord cemetery in Oswego.

Francis Augustine Emanuel
Francis Augustine Emanuel, 73, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora. He was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Adams, Minn.
For many years, Emanuel was a machine-shop foreman in the Aurora area. After his retirement he drove a school bus for Naperville School District 203 for more than 14 years. During those years, he truly loved to drive the bus to see the children. He always will be remembered as a kind gentleman.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Laurel, of Aurora; his children, Michelle (husband Ted Alonzo) Emanuel of Aurora, Michael (husband Kris) Emanuel of Montgomery, John (wife Mary Ann) Emanuel of Aurora, Karen (husband Ernie) Lopez of North Aurora, James (wife Debbie) Emanuel of Oswego and Joseph (wife Darlene) Emanuel of North Aurora; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel (wife Core Lee) Emanuel of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Charlie Emanuel of White Bear Lake, Minn.; one sister, Marilyn (husband Harvey) Nash of Stewartville, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Bertha (Jax) Emanuel; and one brother, Robert Emanuel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at Annunciation Church with Father Mario Pedi, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.

Norbert 'Chick' Gongorek
Norbert "Chick" Gongorek of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Princeton, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Princeton, Wis.
He was a resident of Glen Ellyn for 50 years and an avid Cubs fan. He was a World War II Army veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and a member of American Legion Post 76 in Wheaton.
He was the beloved husband of Marie "Babe" (Catalano) Gongorek; loving father of Lucy (husband Jeff) Ostrom-Spiewak, Richard (wife Denise) Gongorek and Scott (wife Char) Gongorek; dear grandfather of Johnathan, Jeffrey and Jennifer Ostrom and Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Jaclyn, Nicholas, Tyler and Brandon Gongorek; and fond brother of Juanita and the late Donald (wife Norma) Gongorek. He is also survived by his cherished companion, Crackers.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, one block east of Naperville Road.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home and proceed to St. James the Apostle Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment will take place at Wheaton cemetery.
