Steven A. 'DeeDee' Sather
Steven A. "DeeDee" Sather, 57, a resident of Naperville since 1995 and formerly of Minneapolis, Minn., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born Oct. 11, 1947, in St. Paul, Minn.
He grew up in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and was a graduate of St. Cloud University, St. Cloud, Minn., with a degree in comprehensive science. He retired from Volvo Cars of North America in 2001 and most recently worked for Lisle Plaza Body Works in Lisle. Steven had a lifelong love of cars and was a member of the Illinois Valley Oldsmobile Club. He also enjoyed music.
He is survived by his wife, Karen J. (Porter) Sather, of Naperville, whom he married
Feb. 21, 1976; three daughters, Alicia Mai, Amantha Rae and Katlyn Marie Sather; a sister, Andrea (husband Robert) Wahlstrom of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margery Sather.
A memorial visitation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Sheets officiating.
Interment will be private.

Melissa Anne Howard
Melissa Anne Howard, 22, of Naperville died suddenly Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at her home. She was born July 1, 1983, in Hazel Crest.
Melissa was a 2001 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School and a 2005 graduate of North Central College, receiving a bachelor's in liberal arts. She had been working at DeVry University as a transfer credit coordinator.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Edna Howard; her sister, Chrissy (husband Dave) Ensign of Naperville; her brother, Tommy Howard of Naperville; her maternal grandfather, Emiliano Evangelista of Manila, Philippines; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Rosemary Howard of Homer Glen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mercedes Evangelista.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Naperville cemetery in Naperville.
Maria 'Mia' Ann Kelsch
Maria "Mia" Ann Kelsch, 39, of Gilbert, Ariz., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005. Mia was born April 18, 1966, in Chicago.
She will be remembered for her joy of life, her kindness to everyone around her and her love and dedication to her husband, Jeffrey, and son, Austin.
Mia is survived by her parents, Donald and Shirley Babyar; her in-laws, Barb and Otto Kelsch; sisters, Dawn Babyar-Wehr and Suzette Buron; brother, Robert Babyar; nieces, Ashley Wehr and Riley Kelsch; nephews, Tommy Buron, Timmy Buron, Joshua Wehr and Alex Kelsch; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Falconer Funeral Home, 251 W. Juniper Ave. Gilbert.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the funeral home.

Robert Newell Reeves
Robert Newell Reeves, 89, a retired U.S. Marine, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, in Bedford, Texas. He was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Chicago and was raised in the Illinois Masonic Children's Home in La Grange, until the age of 18.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor and participated in the Battle of Midway and four months in Guadalcanal. In 1952, he was subjected to an atomic test in Desert Rock, Nev. He was a career Marine and a 32nd-degree Mason who served his country for 20 years before retiring in 1960. He spent his retirement years residing in Prescott, Ariz., with his wife, Jeffie, before moving to Bedford in 2004 to be near family.
Robert was a good father, a loving husband and a good citizen. He died surrounded by his loving daughters and assisted by the dedicated staff, particularly Iema, at Parkwood Nursing Home in Bedford.
Survivors include his daughters, Robin Davis Reeves of Naperville, Sue (husband Loyd) Eubanks of Euless, Texas, and Carol (husband Bobby) Bemenderfer of Fort Pierce, Fla.; seven grandsons; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-granddaughters; a sister, Dorothy M. Martin of Washington state; and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Military graveside service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.

Ursula M. Ross
Ursula M. (Buchwieser) Ross, 94, a Naperville resident since 1978, formerly of Eatontown, N.J., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at ManorCare Health Services, Naperville. She was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Ursula came to the U.S. on Dec. 25, 1948. She worked for many years as an aide in a nursing home in New Jersey.
She is survived by a son, Fred G. (Gwen) Ross of Naperville; two granddaughters, Kimberley (John) Kreller and Jessica Ross, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; a grandson, Bryan Ross of Naperville; four great-granddaughters, Tia, Rochelle, Gabrielle and Abigail Kreller, all of Cape Coral; and a great-great grandson, James of Cape Coral; a sister-in-law, Resi Buchwieser; and a niece, Renate (Dieter) Rode, and many other nieces and nephews in Germany.
Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald G. Ross; her parents, Erhardt and Ursula Buchwieser; seven brothers and six sisters.
Services were private. Future inurnment will be at Naperville cemetery in Naperville.

Bill Klaisle
Bill Klaisle, 64, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., peacefully passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, with family at his side.
His enduring nature fought a fine fight throughout a long-term illness.
Bill was a former vice president of Smurfit-Stone based in Chicago, where his great love of life was demonstrated in many ways. He touched the lives of everyone he met and was a true mediating force for good. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Bill was a graduate of Syracuse University.
His high regard of life is held now by his beloved wife, Bonnie, of Fort Lauderdale; son, Marc of Naperville; his two grandsons; his parents, William and Ellen of Syracuse; and two brothers, Gerry of Chicago, and Ned of Charlotte, N.C.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Gardens cemetery, 4103 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton, Fla.
Viewing will begin at 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at The Gardens Chapel.

Donald P. Gonzales
Donald P. Gonzales, 57, of Naperville died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. He was born April 25, 1948, in Norfolk, Va.
He graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1966 and represented the school at state wrestling finals. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired electrician and member of Local 701 IBEW. He enjoyed gardening, coin collecting and mentoring children. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 in Naperville.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda L., of Naperville; his mother, Mary (nee Klimczak) Bohnsack of Naperville; two brothers, Daniel (Kathy) Gonzales of Naperville and Jeffery (Jackie) Bohnsack of Aurora; two nieces, Dana Gonzales and Amy Schiefelbein; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Gonzales; and his stepfather, LeRoy W. Bohnsack.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, with a military service at 7:30 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Interment will be private.
Philip J. Raleigh
Philip J. Raleigh, 82, a Naperville resident since 1988 and formerly of Westchester, died Friday, Jan, 27, 2006, at his home. He was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Chicago.
Philip grew up on Chicago's West Side, was a graduate of St. Mel High School and DePaul University with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a bombardier on a B-26 bomber in Europe. Philip was employed as a controller by Sears, Roebuck and Co. for 42 years. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church in Naperville, American Legion Post 43 in Naperville and was an active member of the District 203 Committee for the 21st Century. He enjoyed golf, Scrabble and traveling and was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Cubs. Philip was proud of his ability to master the computer late in his life.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kay" (Durkin) Raleigh of Naperville, whom he married
Sept. 7, 1946; six children, Philip (Denise) Raleigh of Naperville, Patricia (Mike) Perkins of Naperville, Catherine (Greg) Waddell of Columbus, Ohio, Richard (Kris) Raleigh of Toledo, Ohio, Mary (Chris) Van Luling of Herndon, Va., and Deborah Raleigh of Columbus; 14 grandchildren, Michelle, Kim, Philip and Michael, Jason, Brian and Dylan, Todd and Steven, Jessica, Philip W., James, Dennis and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Dominik, Ryan, Grace and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Anna Raleigh; and a sister, Ann (the late James) Dyer.

Robert E. Holmes
Robert E. Holmes, 79, formerly of Lisle and recently of Prior Lake, Minn., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, after bravely facing Parkinson's disease for many years.
Bob was the precious and loving husband of Joann Holmes and a wonderful father to his three daughters, Marcia (Michael) McKenna of Naperville, Linda (Wayne) Cummings of Naperville and Patti (Brian) Kuehl of Lisle. He was a loving stepfather to Sue (Mike) Cabot of Northfield, Minn., Carole (Mark) Engblom of Burnsville, Minn., and Tom Tillisch of Prior Lake, Minn. He was a devoted grandfather to Mitch, Tami and Brittany McKenna, Casey Cummings, Eric and Kaitlyn Kuehl, Michael and Mark Skluzacek and Wendy Mowry. He was also the great-grandfather of five. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon (Shirley) Holmes of Beaver Falls, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Bruder); his parents, David and Lillian Holmes; and his brothers, David and Ralph Holmes.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, in Northfield, Minn., to thank God for his life and to remember the love we shared with him.
Stephan W. 'Sonny' Mondek
Stephan W. "Sonny" Mondek, 64, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at his home in Naperville after fighting a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was born July 15, 1941, in Chicago and had worked as a millwright for Nestle Foods prior to his illness.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia A. (nee Dembowski); three sons, Stephen J. of Westchester, David L. (Norberta) of Germany, and Nicholas J. Mondek of Los Angeles; four grandchildren, Mandy, Zachary, Zyra and Marlo; and his siblings, Karen (Charlie) Spivey, Pamela and Gregory.
A funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, and proceed to SS Peter and Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial.
Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven cemetery, Hillside.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home.

Kathleen Knobloch
Kathleen (Breed) Knobloch, 85, a Naperville resident since 1969, formerly of South Bend, Mishawaka and Hobart, Ind., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at Countryside Care Centre in Aurora. She was born June 6, 1920, in the South Bend/Mishawaka area.
Kathleen grew up in the South Bend/Mishawaka area and was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. She went on to graduate from St. Mary's College, South Bend, with a degree in education and was employed as a social worker in Indiana's St. Joseph County for many years. Kathleen was an active member of St. Raphael Church, Naperville, and was a volunteer at Naper Settlement.
She is survived by her husband, James O. Knobloch of Naperville, whom she married
May 6, 1950; three children, Susan (Donald) Zick of Naperville, John (Janet) Knobloch of Naperville and Timothy Knobloch of Plainfield; three grandchildren, James and Daniel Knobloch and Madeline Zick; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Ann Knobloch; twin sons, Thomas and Joseph Knobloch; and her parents, Bert and Catherine Breed.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
