Dorothy Diedrichsen, 98, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at Lexington Healthcare Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 5, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard. Interment was private.
Mrs. Diedrichsen was the mother of Diane (J.B.) Kemmerer and Arthur Jr., grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of eight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sr.; and daughter, Carole Crego.
Mrs. Diedrichsen was a former resident of La Grange, and a member of the First Methodist Church of La Grange.

Homer and Gladys Ellis
Homer J. and Gladys Ellis died Friday, Jan. 5 and Friday, Sept. 7, 2001 respectively.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis were the parents of Susan Haase and Jane Schwebke. They were preceded in death by their daughter, Sally Lebida.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis had lived on Finley Road in Lombard for nearly 60 years. Mr. Ellis was retired from United Airlines, and Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker. Among their pastimes was the love and care of wild birds.
Donations to the National Audubon Society would be appreciated.
Jose Guarderas
Jose L. Guarderas, 47, of Lombard, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 at home.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 3, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Alexander Catholic Church in Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Guarderas was the husband of Karen; father of Nicholas and Emily; son of Luis and Francisca; brother of Frank, Rocio (Roger) Paredesm and Patrick (Grace); and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Guarderas had worked as a graphic artist for a catalog distributor.
Jacob Heerdt Jr.
Jacob Heerdt Jr., 76, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Lexington Healthcare Center in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 5, at Faith Christian Reformed Church of Elmhurst.
Mr. Heerdt was the husband of Ruth; father of Shari (Ken) Frieling, Ruth (Dale) Kwarta, Jack (Annette), Randy (Sue), Lyn (Jim) Boerkoel and Jeff (Brenda); grandfather of 21; great-grandfather of nine; brother of Wilhelmina Murphy; and brother-in-law of Bernice Rozendal and Jeanette Folgers. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Scott Michael Gehrke Jr.; brothers, Clarence, Raymond (Eleanor Meyer) and William; sister, Jeanette Smith; sister-in-law, Delia Heerdt; and brothers-in-law, Howard Murphy, Jake Smith, Ted Rozendal and John Folgers.
Mr. Heerdt was a longtime resident of Elmhurst. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of Faith Christian Reformed Church of Elmhurst.

Jessica Janos
Jessica Jean Janos, 19, of Lombard, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 in Villa Park.
Visitation will be today, Nov. 7, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in lombard. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.
Jessica was the daughter of James D. and Mary Jo of Lombard, sister of Stephanie of Lombard, granddaughter of John F. Schaul and Jean Schaul, niece of 14 aunts and uncles, and cousin and relative of many. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James K. and Gwendolyn Janos.
Jessica was a graduate of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran School in 1996, and a graduate of Glenbard East High School in Lombard. She was a sophomore at Valparaiso University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Society. She was also a member of Students Against Drunk Drivers (SADD) and had been very active in St. John's Youth Group, where she helped build a house in Mexico with the group. She had attended a summer seminar program at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Constance Maggio
Constance C. Maggio, nee Woods, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were private.
Mrs. Maggio was the mother of Lisa (Cameron) Watson, Sharon Kammerer, John and Michael; grandmother of five; and sister of Doreen (Thomas) Bamber. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Woods; and husband, Peter.
Mrs. Maggio was born in Manchester, England, and met her husband while he in the U. S. Air Force, stationed in England. She had lived in Lombard since 1955.
Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Illinois, Lombard office.
Marguerite Main
Marguerite Radatz Main, nee Roggenbuck, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago.
Mrs. Main was the wife of Ralph; mother of Virginia (Alan) Stewart, Ruth Townsend and Deborah Castenada; grandmother of two; and sister of Edward (Bess) Roggenbuck. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest H. Radatz.
Mrs. Main had worked as a piano teacher.

Mrs. Martens is survived by her children, Scott (Gayle), Tracy (Greg) Moon and Darren (Anita); companion, Gordon Barnum; four grandchildren; and siblings, Pat (Ray) Russo and Paul (Sharon) Klein.
