Orlando Morales
Orlando A. Morales, 55, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Visitation will be today, Nov. 7, 2001 at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, with prayers from Knollcrest Funeral Home to Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Church in Oakbrook Terrace. Entombment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Morales was the husband of Lucy; father of Ann (Mark) Korallus, Tess (Scott) Ludian, Jason (Kathy), Janice (Chit) Gomez, Christine and Michael; son-in-law of Dolores Racho; grandfather of six; brother of Natividad Morales, M.D., Leticia (Edwardo, M.D.) Laxa, and Isabello Morales; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Romeo (Rosa) Morales.
Mr. Morales was a resident of Oak Brook, a member of the Capampangan Circulo of Chicago, and of Ascension of Our Lord Church in Oakbrook Terrace.
George Olson
George W. Olson, 83, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 7, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with the Rev. Paul Stiffler and Pastor Dean Williams of the Community Congregational Church of Villa Park officiating. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mr. Olson was the husband of Ima-Jean, father of Thomas and Susan Jean (Kenny) Graves, grandfather of two, brother of Margaret Henrietta Koepke, and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven; brother-in-law, Ben Koepke; and four sisters.
Mr. Olson was one of the founders of, and a volunteer fireman for, the York Township Fire Department, a longtime resident of Lombard, a veteran of World War II, and a millwright in the construction industry.

John Reeves
John P. Reeves, 21, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2001 at home.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 3, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Herb Essig officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Reeves was the son of George and Teri; brother of Jeffrey, Bernard, Jeanelle and Michelle; grandson of Richard and Dolores Chaples, formerly of Lombard, and Larry Reeves; nephew of Dawn Chaples Milazzo; and relative of many. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iva Janelle Reeves.
Mr. Reeves was a resident of Lombard for 21 years. He liked balloons and watching television. He lived his whole life with cerebral palsy but always managed to have a smile.
Harriet Sandy
Harriet E. Sandy, nee Kaiser, 75, of Carol Stream, formerly of Glen Ellyn and Melrose Park, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 2, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Patrick Boomhower officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
Mrs. Sandy was the mother of 1st. Sgt. Randall K., U.S. Army (Mary), Kathryn Anita (Richard) Bresen, Suzanne Karol and Rebecca Lee; grandmother of seven; and great-grandmother of two. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; granddaughter, Karen; and five brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Sandy was a resident of Carol Stream for three years, of Glen Ellyn for 21 years from 1977-98, and of Melrose Park from 1953-77.
Mrs. Sandy retired in 1998 as payroll manager for TW Metals in Carol Stream. She was very active and served as treasurer of the Crop Walk for six years, was a past member of the Board of Deacons and the Senior Study Bible Class at St. John's, and was past president of the Chicagoland Lhasa-Apso Club.
Memorials to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard, IL 60148 would be appreciated.

Anthony Silanskis
Anthony Silanskis, 85, of Lombard, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst.
Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 7., with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Arno Dennerlein officiating. Interment is at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
Mr. Silanskis was the husband of Agnes; father of Tony (Lenore) of Lombard, Robert (Laverne) of Lombard and David (Cheryl); grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of one; and brother of Genny Rusek. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Frank.
Mr. Silanskis was a resident of Lombard since 1963. He retired in 1978 after working 40 years with the printing department of Container Corp. in Carol Stream.
Dorothy Winer
Dorothy M. McGinley Winer, nee Gerks, 88, of Lombard, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001.
Funeral services were private.
Mrs. Winer was the mother of Danice (Herb) Moore, James and Judy (Ray) Mazzolini; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 13; and sister of Marjorie Gornell. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ray Gornell.
Mrs. Winer was a Lombard resident for 45 years. She had worked as the production manager for Popular Mechanics from 1954-62, for Alluried Publishing from 1963-68, and for M.C. Publishing until she retired at the age of 81 years.
Robert Becker Jr.
Robert A. "Andy" Becker Jr., 45, of Lombard, formerly of Glen Ellyn, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services will be held today, Dec. 4, at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, with the Rev. Jerry Andrews officiating. Interment is private.
Mr. Becker was the father of Bailey and Bobby; former husband of Lori Becker; special friend of Kathy Davis; son of Robert A. (Mary Lou) Becker Sr.; brother of Jay (Robin), Polly (Doug) Kerkman and Nancy; stepbrother of Chris Richards, Paula (William) Chaussey and Jennifer (Charles) Kohut; and uncle of seven. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Becker.
Mr. Becker had been a 14-year resident of Lombard. He was a 1975 graduate of Glenbard West High School, where he was a Conference Wrestling Champion. He attended Ohio University on a wrestling scholarship.
Mr. Becker had worked as a sales representative for A-1 Air Compressor of Addison. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, sponsoring a summer pig roast, fishing, golf and water skiing.
