Anita Rode
Anita H. Rode, 92, of Grafton, Va., formerly of Villa Park, died Monday, June 12, 2000 in Virginia.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Villa Park, with Rev. Thomas Sanders officiating. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mrs. Rode was the mother of Claus H. (Barbara), grandmother of two, and aunt of two. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert.
Mrs. Rode was a homemaker.
Theodore Stahl
Theodore J. Stahl, 85, of Lombard, died Friday, June 16, 2000 at home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, at Community Presbyterian Church, Lombard, with Rev. Graham Hart officiating. Interment was at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mr. Stahl was the husband of LaVerne; father of Jeanne (Daniel) Eschenbrenner, Nancy (Mark) Smith, and Lynda; grandfather of five; and sister of Marjorie (Vernon) Neuhaus.
Mr. Stahl was a resident of Lombard since 1951, and retired in 1983 after 50 years with Commonwealth Edison Co. as an engineer. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the Shriners Medinah Temple AAONMS of Chicago, the Medinah Temple Shrine Brass Band, the Chicago Lodge Council Chapter Consistory of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, the Lombard Masonic #1098, Commonwealth Edison American Legion Post 118, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

Ruth Weinrich
Ruth Weinrich, nee Hanson, 87, of Lombard, formerly of Arlington Heights, died Saturday, June 17, 2000 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lombard, with Rev. Patrick Boomhower officiating. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mrs. Weinrich was the mother of Lois Mullen, Kathi (David) Elsner, and Christopher of Lombard; grandmother of three; and sister of Jeanette Pippenburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; and sister, Gladys Nelson.
Mrs. Weinrich had been a resident of Lombard for one year, and had resided in Arlington Heights for over 20 years.
Memorials to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Radio Fund, Arlington Heights, would be appreciated.

George Bissett
George W. Bissett, 86, of Lombard, died Friday, April 4, 2003 in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Mark Post officiating. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mr. Bissett was the husband of Jennie, father of Marcia (Maj. Bruce Cline) Bissett-Cline and Vern of Lombard, grandfather of five, brother of Orville (Adele), and uncle of many.
Mr. Bissett was a veteran of the U.S. Army Military Police, having served during World War II. He was self-employed as a landscape architect.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard would be appreciated.

Evelyn Blastik
Evelyn L. Blastik, nee Schultz, 84, of Villa Park, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Elmhurst Extended Care in Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park, with the Rev. Thomas Sanders officiating. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Mrs. Blastik was the mother of Patricia (Doug) Gray, and aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and brother, George Schultz.
Mrs. Blastik was a homemaker.

Helen Cushing
Helen E. Cushing, nee Dawson, 86, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 4, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Evanston.
Mrs. Cushing was the mother of Thomas J. (Marilyn); grandmother of two; great-grandmother of one; sister of Fredrick Dawson, Robert (Florence) Dawson and Annamae (William) Rooney; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J.; brothers, John W. and Thomas (Patricia) Dawson; and sisters-in-law, Anita Dawson and Irene Dawson.
Mrs. Cushing had been a resident of Lombard for 46 years. She had worked as a secretary at York High School in Elmhurst and also at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park prior to her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she volunteered with the CCD program.
Memorials to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls would be appreciated.

Bryan Dagenhart
Bryan Dagenhart, 54, of Lombard, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, at First Church of Lombard in Lombard, with the Rev. Robert Hatfield officiating. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Dagenhart was the husband of Melissa A., father of Benjamin James and James Isaac "Zak," son of Janet, and brother of Dwight James. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Melissa D.; father, James; and sister, "Betsy" Elizabeth Joy.
Mr. Dagenhart had been a resident of Lombard for 23 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Elmhurst College with a degree in history, and a 1979 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a master's degree in foundations of education. He had worked as a teacher at Glenside Middle School, Glendale Heights District 16, where he taught sixth and eighth grades. He was on the Negotiation Team and a member of the Queen Bee Education Association.
