Elizabeth Diamond
Elizabeth "Betty" Diamond, nee Knezevich, 87, of Lombard, died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at home.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 7, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Herb Essig officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Diamond was the mother of John W., William P. Jr. (Sharon), Mary (Michael) Millett of Lombard and Barbara (Patrick) De Santis of Lombard; grandmother of 11; and great-grandmother of one. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Sr.; and son, Peter L.
Mrs. Diamond was a resident of Lombard for 75 years. She had worked for Fannie May in Yorktown for over 20 years, before retiring in 1997. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and had been active in the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post #5815.
Memorials to Memorial Hospice, 855 N. Church Court, Elmhurst, IL 60126, would be appreciated.
Rev. Carl Frack
The Rev. Carl Frack, 84, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 in Spokane, Wash.
Rev. Frack was the husband of Lucinda; father of Sharon Farrar, DeAnna McDonald, James of Lombard and John; grandfather of seven; and great-grandfather of two.
Rev. Frack was a veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Ann Arbor Business School and Moody Bible Institute, and attended the University of Michigan and Wheaton College.
Rev. Frack was the pastor of the Bible Church of Villa Park for 21 years, and served as pastor-at-large for churches in northwestern Ohio after moving to that area. He had lived in Spokane since just over three years ago.

Marjorie Jeffery
Marjorie Jeffery, nee Gross, 85, of Melrose Park, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Lexington Healthcare Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 28, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, with the Rev. Robert Braband officiating. Interment was at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park.
Mrs. Jeffery was the mother of Dr. William R. (Meredith) and Carol Ann Skora, grandmother of three, and aunt and great-aunt of many. She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Zachary Lesnik
Zachary Ryan Lesnik, 3, of Lombard, died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.
Funeral services will be held today, April 9, with prayers from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Peter Jarosz officiating. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Zachary was the son of Larry and Theresa Lesnik, grandson of Ted and Virg Lesnik and Tom and Helen Wagner, and brother of Molly and Cori.
Reva Peterson
Reva Peterson, nee Wiese, died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at home.
Funeral services were pending at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Mrs. Peterson was the aunt of Charles "Jack" Giacomini; great-aunt of Shelby (Frank) Petrik of Lombard, Kathy Halperin and David Halperin; and sister-in-law of Olga Wiese. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; sisters, Vita Miller and Sally Giacomini; and brothers, Bill Wiese and Raymond Wiese.
Mrs. Peterson was a resident of Lombard for 53 years. She loved animals.
Charles Solyom
Charles S. Solyom, 91, of Lombard, died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Resthaven West in Downers Grove.
All services are private.
Mr. Solyom was the father of Dale (Sheila), Bruce (Arlene) of Lombard, Duane (Mary) and Nancy of Lombard; grandfather of nine; great-grandfather of six; and brother of Irene Biddle.
Mr. Solyom was a resident of Lombard for 35 years. He was a retired employee of School Districts 45, 88 and 87.
Arrangements were made by Brust Villa Park Funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park.
Marianne Walsh
Marianne L. Walsh, 68, of Villa Park, died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Visitation will be held today, April 9, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, with prayers from the funeral home to St. Alexander Catholic Church in Villa Park. Interment is private.
Mrs. Walsh was the wife of Kenneth F.; mother of William (Diane), Kevin and Brian (Lisa); grandmother of six; sister of James (Karen) Hansen; aunt of several nieces and nephew; and niece of Lottie Currier.
Mrs. Walsh was a homemaker.
Joseph Wojcik
Joseph Wojcik, 85, of Villa Park, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at home.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 4, with prayers from Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
Mr. Wojcik was the father of Patricia (William Sr.) Wolff, grandfather of three, great-grandfather of four, and brother-in-law of Joan and Raymond Klus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian.
Mr. Wojcik was known as the "Tomato Man" because he operated a stand on Riordon Road for many years.
Alison Balis
Alison Jeanette Balis, nee Tait, 85, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 in the Kansas City area.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 31, at Lombard Bible Church in Lombard. Interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Mrs. Balis was the mother of James (Dora) and Carolyn (Robert) Walla, grandmother of six, great-grandmother of seven, sister of Sally Hampson of Lombard, and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; brother, William Tait; and parents, Jeanette and William Tait.
Mrs. Balis was a resident of Villa Park for over 50 years before moving to the Kansas City area in 1992. She graduated from Steinmetz High School in 1935 and worked at Sears Roebuck and Co. She and her husband also were co-owners and operators of the Villa Park Dairy Queen for many years, and had worked for the High School District 88 in the Continuing Education Office, retiring in 1986.
Mrs. Balis was active in many school and church activities and was a member of the Community Congregational Church. She remained active as a volunteer in the Kansas City area through Kiwanis, political activities and the church.
