SUSAN JOHNSON
Susan Mary Johnson, 94, of Naperville, formerly of Villa Park, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999 at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 23, at St. Patrick Residence, 1400 Brookdale Road in Naperville with Rev. Dedera officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven in Hillside.
Ms. Johnson was aunt of Arlene (Jerry) Havel and Lawrence Jr. (Marlene). She was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence (Florence).
Ms. Johnson was a retired secretary for a religious order.
Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park.
CLIFFORD KUNKLE
Clifford J. Kunkle, 46, of Auburn Hills, Mich., formerly of Villa Park, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 in Michigan.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 22, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, with Rev. Graham Hart from Community Presbyterian Church in Lombard officiating. Interment was at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
Mr. Kunkle was brother of Charles (Janet), Carol (John) Sutherland, and Celia (John) Dizonno Sr.; uncle of six nieces and nephews; and two great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence.
Mr. Kunkle was a lab supervisor for Eaton Controls. He was a resident of Auburn Hills for the past two years.

THADDEUS KUTA
Thaddeus J. Kuta, 89, of Lombard, formerly of Chicago, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999 at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, to Mass at Christ The King Church with Rev. James Dvorscak officiating. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
Mr. Kuta was father of Kathleen; grandfather of Robert Scott Bensen; brother of Marie; brother-in-law of Helen and Frances; uncle of Larry (Sandy), Randy (Mary Lou), Cindy (John) Wodja and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; brothers Louis, Walter, Stanley, and Edward; and sister-in-law, Martha.
Mr. Kuta was a resident of Lombard for one year and was formerly a 50-year resident of Chicago on the southwest side. Prior to that he lived on the north side. Mr. Kuta had retired from Hills McCanna. He was a former member of St. Jane de Chantel on the southwest side.
RITA ORLICZ
Rita V. Orlicz (nee Jachnik), 71, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999 at home.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 22, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, to St. Pius X Church in Lombard with Rev. Herbert Essig officiating. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
Mrs. Orlicz was mother of Christopher (Linda) and Hugh (Linda); grandmother of five; sister of Ceal Walker, Helen Knapczyk, Dolores Jachnik, and Richard Jachnik; and aunt of Gloria Nolan and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert.
Mrs. Orlicz was a resident of Lombard since 1969.
IRENE PANEK
Irene H. Panek (nee Meyer), 81, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lombard, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 in Wisconsin.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard with Rev. Danilo Soriano officiating. Interment was at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
Mrs. Panek was mother of Stanley Jr. (Betty) and William (Karen); grandmother of Debbie (Jeff) McComb, Lisa (Tom) Mackrie, Patty (Vince) Catalano, and Traci (Chris) Munkbold; great-grandmother of eight; and twin sister of Margaret Trampf. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and brothers, Steve, Charles and Ben.
Mrs. Panek was a resident of Wisconsin for one year and had resided in Lombard from 1955 to 1998. She had worked at Ekco Products of Chicago and retired in 1976. Mrs. Panek was a member of the Polish National Alliance, a former member of the St. John The Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Villa Park and St. Pius X Church in Lombard.

NOREEN RYAN
Noreen F. Ryan (nee Ferris), 98, of Villa Park, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999 at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park with Rev. James Antiporek officiating. Interment was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Ryan was mother of John F. (Ardine) and Donald (Marianne) Ryan; grandmother of six; great-grandmother of 11; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Mrs. Ryan had been retired from office work for a retail company.

HELEN SADOWSKI
Helen Sadowski, 94, of Wheaton, formerly of Lombard, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at Wynscape Healthcare in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, with prayers at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
Miss Sadowski was aunt of Richard (Sally) Iwicki, Dorothy Baer, and Rita; and great-aunt of Richard (Carol), Pamela (Gary) Thomm, and Karen (Greg) Flak. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother, and one nephew.
Miss Sadowski grew up in Chicago. She was a resident of Lombard for over 38 years and had moved to Wheaton 10 years ago.
IRENE CARLSON
Irene V. Carlson (nee Prince), 75, of Glendale Heights, died Monday, April 5, 1999 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St. in Lombard, with Rev. Jack Kane officiating. Interment was at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney.
Mrs. Carlson was sister of Ruth, Katherine, and Richard; aunt of Sandra Klein, Sharon Collings Burck and Sheila Collings; and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Carlson was a resident of Glendale Heights since 1985. She had been an executive secretary for Tierbach Associates, a division of Kidde, for over 20 years.
