Christine Pawley
Christine Pawley, 37, of Roselle, formerly of Lombard, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004 in Roselle.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 23, at Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 W. Roosevelt Road, Hillside.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 24, at the funeral home. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Pawley was the mother of Angela and Savonna, daughter of Frank and Bette Lynn LaVere of Lombard, granddaughter of Lillian Bell, and sister of Frank C. LaVere II.
Mrs. Pawley had worked in sales for an electrical equipment company.
Genevieve Bedal
Genevieve Bedal, nee Maisel, 88, of Lombard, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, at Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. John Zanoni officiating. Interment was at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton.
Mrs. Bedal was the mother of Carol Browne, aunt of many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law of David (Joan) Bedal and Ken Bedal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E.; and parents, Frederick P. and Henrietta.
Mrs. Bedal resided in Lombard for over 86 years, where her father was a former mayor and was instrumental in starting the Lilac Festival, and her mother was a founding member of Sacred Heart Church.
Mrs. Bedal had worked as a secretary at her father's business, the Lombard Bank. She was a longstanding member of the Lombard Women's Club.
Donations to Sacred Heart Church, Religious Education Program, 114 S. Elizabeth St., Lombard, IL 60148, would be appreciated.

Anne Bruknis
Anne Mary Bruknis, nee Ralis, 87, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004 in California.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard.
Mrs. Bruknis was the mother of Bill (fiancée Rose Panza-Cholewinski) and Barb (Joe) Scalzitti, and grandmother of four. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno; and brothers, Sam (the late Allegra) Ralis and Charlie (Lois) Ralis.
Mrs. Bruknis was a homemaker and had lived in Lombard for 30 years.
Mary Cwiklik
Mary Leona Urban Cwiklik, 85, of Villa Park, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Pius X Church in Lombard. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Cwiklik was the wife of Ben; mother of Suzanne Doddy, Gary (Pennie) Urban, Marianne (Pat) Maher, Leonard (Susan) Cwiklik, Laurel (Alan) Walker, Janice (Bruce) Peters, Joan (Michael) Jendro, Joseph (Liz) Cwiklik and John (Jennifer) Cwiklik; grandmother and great-grandmother of many; and sister of Joseph (Sandra) Darwin Garland. She was preceded in death by her prior husband, Stanley Urban.
Mrs. Cwiklik was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
John Fiedler
John "Jack" Bittel Fiedler, 75, of Villa Park, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004 in Villa Park.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 27, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Fiedler was the husband of Clara; father of Clara (Roger) Hughes, Mary (Ron) Lapso, Marjorie Fiedler, John J. and Kristina (Bud) Durland; father-in-law of Dawn Fiedler; grandfather of 13; brother of Raymond (Catherine), Margie Crema and Betty (Skip) Roth; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rick Crema.
Mr. Fiedler had been with J.W. Reedy Realtors for 32 years and was an Army veteran.

Anthony Giambrone
Anthony E. "Tony" Giambrone, 72, of Lombard, formerly of Stone Park, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at St. John the Apostle Church in Villa Park, with the Rev. David Turner officiating. Entombment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery in River Grove.
Mr. Giambrone was the father of Anthony R. (Bertha), John Joseph (Theresa), James M. (Amy) and Joanna; grandfather of 11; brother of Joseph A. (Lorraine); brother-in-law of Lucille and Richard Miller; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita M.; and sisters, Phyllis Canale and Dorothy Esposito.
Mr. Giambrone was a 27-year resident of Lombard, and of Stone Park for 15 years. He was a member of Carpenter's Union Local #558.

Stanley Hinton
Stanley C. Hinton, 74, of Wheaton, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at Calvary Episcopal Church, 105 W. Maple, Lombard, with the Rev. Donald Castle officiating. Interment is private.
Mr. Hinton was the husband of Lorraine; father of the Rev. Gregory (Susan), Philip, James (Amy) and Andrew (Karen); grandfather of four; brother of Marjorie (Edward) Brown; and uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria.
Mr. Hinton was a 1951 graduate of Blackburn College, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean War. He retired from CNA after 35 years of service, and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. As a 25-year member of Calvary Episcopal Church, he was active as a church school teacher, a warden and treasurer. He enjoyed camping.

Virginia Killian
Virginia Killian, nee Power, 89, of Lombard, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004 at Anchorage of Bensenville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. Alexander Church in Villa Park. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery.
Mrs. Killian was the mother of Charles R. (Mary), Brian J. (Susan), Jeannine Ladd and Laura (Robert) Gastel; grandmother of 21; and great-grandmother of 10. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J.; sister, Grace (Lawrence) Iardella; and son-in-law, Michael Ladd.
Mrs. Killian was a homemaker.
