James Schreck
James H. Schreck, 81, of Villa Park, died Friday, March 18, 2005 in Villa Park.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment was Monday, March 21, at Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
Mr. Schreck was the uncle of Gary (Mary) Schreck and Roger, Carl (Kathy) and Waldo Schreck III; and great-uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Waldo (Ann) Schreck Jr.
Mr. Schreck was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was retired after working as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office.
Raymond Sieloff
Raymond C. Sieloff, 85, of Villa Park, died Monday, March 21, 2005 at Manor Care of Westmont.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, at the funeral home. Interment is at Elm Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Sieloff was the husband of Betty, father of Charles and Patricia (Charles) Tiberi, and grandfather of one. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred (Lorraine) Sieloff.
Mr. Sieloff was retired after working in tool and die for a locomotive company.

Frieda Simon
Frieda Simon, 84, of Lombard, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church in York Center/Lombard, with the Rev. Mark Post officiating. Interment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.
Ms. Simon was the sister of Pauline (Walter) Wohlrab and Helen M. (Edward) Payer of Lombard, sister-in-law of Rebecca Simon and Eugene Daniels, aunt of 12 nieces and nephews, and great-aunt of 21 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Theresa; brother, Albert Simon; and sister, Theresa Daniels.
Ms. Simon was a resident of Lombard for 40 years and was formerly of Chicago. She was a 40-year member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Roosevelt and Meyers Road, Lombard, IL 60148, would be appreciated.

William Weith
William F. Weith, 84, of Lombard, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn.
Mr. Weith was the husband of Alexa; father of Michael (Yvonne) Lanners of Lombard, Bill (Carol) Weith and Winnie (Bob) LaChapelle of Lombard; and grandfather of five. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy (the late Margaret); and two young sisters.
Mr. Weith was a resident of Lombard since 1958. During World War II, he served in the 8th Air Force as one of the Yoxford Boys, where he was nicknamed "Wizard" for his uncanny ability to repair his squadron's more difficult aircraft challenges and help keep the forces in the air.
Mr. Weith retired from Al Piemonte Ford in 1982 after working 15 years as an auto mechanic. A lifelong flying enthusiast, he was a private pilot and member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, volunteering to assist with the restoration of World War II aircraft at their Oshkosh, Wis., museum.

Catherine Wolatz
Catherine E. Wolatz, nee Springer, 85, of Lombard, died Monday, March 21, 2005 in Warrenville.
Visitation will be today, March 23, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, at the funeral home. Interment is private.
Mrs. Wolatz was the mother of Michael (Ellen) of Lombard, Linda (Wilbur) Christman, Ardith (George) Paulus and Cheryl (Andrew) Christ; grandmother of seven; and great-grandmother of 11. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E.
Mrs. Wolatz was a resident of Lombard since 1954. She retired in 1984 after working as a teacher at Ms. Roberts Beauty School in Villa Park. She had attended Faith Methodist Church in Lombard for many years, and was a past active member of the Villa Park VFW Post #2801 Auxiliary.

Archie Diletti
Archie Diletti, 90, of Lombard, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 26, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Diletti was the father of Dan (Sharon) of Lombard and Ray (Linda) of Lombard, grandfather of three, great-grandfather of four, brother of Rose (Nazzareno) Tidei of Villa Park, and relative and friend of many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mathilda "Tillie."
Mr. Diletti was a longtime resident of Lombard. He loved and appreciated good food and enjoyed going out to dinner to different restaurants as well as cooking. He took pride in his home and its upkeep.
Karyl Dunk
Karyl Genene Fischer Dunk, of Villa Park, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard.
Mrs. Dunk was the wife of Michael E.; mother of Jamie (Jeff) Burmeister, Katie and Mary (Dave) Scheer; grandmother of six; sister of Noel (Nancy) Fischer and Bruce (Pam) Fischer; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Walter Fischer and Catherine Stahl Fischer.
Mrs. Dunk grew up in Glen Ellyn and graduated from Glenbard West High School, and from Colorado State College of Education with a B.A. degree in foreign language and English. She taught at Lisle Community High School from 1958-60, Fenton High School from 1960-64 and Montini High School from 1973-74; and was the director of St. Paul Christian Day Care Center from 1975 to 2003.
