WILLIAM BUCHANAN SR.
William James Buchanan Sr., 63, of Chicago, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 9, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment was private.
Mr. Buchanan is survived by his loving children.
Mr. Buchanan was a truck driver and machine equipment operator. He took pride in his work and especially helping on such Chicago projects as the foundation of the Sears Tower and the Lake Front Extension Project.
ANN CASTALDO
Ann Castaldo, nee Varchetto, 86, of Elmhurst, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at Lexington Square, Elmhurst.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 7, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Christ the King Church, Lombard, with Rev. James Dvorscak officiating. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Castaldo was the wife of James Sr.; mother of James Jr. (Irene), of Lombard, and Janice Castaldo; grandmother of four; and great-grandmother of one.
Mrs. Castaldo resided in Elmhurst for the last six years, and was formerly a 25-year resident of Lombard. She had lived in Elmwood Park and was a homemaker.
Masses are preferred, or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
LAVERGNE CHRISTOFFEL
LaVergne H. Christoffel, nee Maxwell, 75, of Villa Park, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at Oak Brook Healthcare Centre, Oak Brook.
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Lombard. Interment was at St. Henry Cemetery, Chicago.
Mrs. Christoffel was the wife of Roy; mother of Lawrence (Rosanne) and Anthony; and grandmother of two.
Mrs. Christoffel was a retired office worker for a manufacturing company.

MARY COZZI
Mary K. Cozzi, nee Rossi, 60, of Lombard, died Sat. Sept. 11, 1999 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
Funeral services will be held today, Sept. 15, at the Ascension of Our Lord Church, Oakbrook Terrace. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Cozzi was the wife of Frank R.; mother of Mary Ann (Scott) Wilcer, Diane (Jeff) Pignone, Carolyn (Dinesh) Chinthagada, and Janet (Chris) Ahern; grandmother of three; sister of Joan Ward, Joseph (Roberta) Rossi, and James (Rea) Rossi; daughter of Ana; and daughter-in-law of Angela Cozzi. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Cardinal Bernardine Cancer Center, 2160 S. First Ave., Maywood, IL 60153.
JAMES HALL
James E. Hall, 73, of Lombard, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 as the result of an automobile accident.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 11, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, with Rev. Graham Hart, Community Presbyterian Church, Lombard, officiating. Interment was private in Onalaska, Wisc.
Mr. Hall was the husband of Mary J; father of James David, and Robert Todd, and Mary Kathleen Flores: father-in-law of Lori, and John Flores; and grandfather of six.
Mr. Hall was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in the Pacific during World War II. He retired in 1983 after teaching English and vocal music for 30 years at Emerson, Hiawatha, and Irving middle schools in Berwyn. He gave over 25 years of volunteer service to the American Hockey Impaired Hearing Association and was honored for doing so last year.
Memorials to the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
ROY HARDING
Roy A. Harding, 73, of Lombard, formerly of Addison and Glen Ellyn, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999 at home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 12, at Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd., Glen Ellyn, by the Glen Ellyn Masonic Lodge. Interment was private.
Mr. Harding was the husband of Evelyn; father of Gary and Cheryl (Gary) Meger; grandfather of one; and brother of Gene, Melvin, and Rosemary Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean, and brother Herman.
Mr. Harding retired in 1990 after over 20 years with Plastofilm of Wheaton, where he was an engineer and supervisor. He was a member of the Glen Ellyn Masonic Lodge #950 for over 20 years and was a past Master of the Lodge.

ANNA HINES
Anna M. Hines, nee Winters, 82, of Villa Park, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 11, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, with Rev. Charles Emery officiating. Interment was at Fairview Memorial, Northlake.
Mrs. Hines was the mother of Robert (Linda), and Lois (Louis) Plecas; grandmother of three; and great-grandmother of two. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry.
Mrs. Hines was a homemaker.
JOHN HOLTE-ANDRADE
John Jay Holte-Andrade, 24, of Lombard, died at home.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 13, 1999 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lombard, with Rev. Patrick Boomhower officiating. Interment was at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Mr. Holte-Andrade was the son of Patricia, of Lombard, and Manuel, of Villa Park; brother of Dawn Hicks, of Villa Park, Cheryl (Raymond) Swan, Pamela Bruce, and Manuel (Traci), of Lombard; uncle of nine nieces and nephews; and godchild of Miguel Villafurte and Patricia Kozlowski.
Mr. Holte-Andrade was a life-long resident of Lombard, and attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran School, Blackwell School, Lombard Jr. High, and graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1993, where he played football. He worked for Porter Pipe for the last three years.
