GENTA IRVINE
Genta Irvine, nee Chapman, 83, formerly of Lombard, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999 in Milwaukee, Wis.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Moreland Presbyterian Church, Milwaukee. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, Va.
Mrs. Irvine was the wife of William; mother of Pamela Jean Campbell, and Clyde William; grandmother of four; and great-grandmother of one.
Mrs. Irvine lived in Lombard for 49 years, and taught at Addison Elementary School, and retired in 1978. She was a founding member and volunteer at the Lombard Community Presbyterian Church, and volunteered at North Oak Grove School, and Church Circle.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by Alpine Cremation and burial Services, Portland, Ore.
THOMAS KRUPOWICZ
Thomas A. Krupowicz, 56, of Lombard, formerly of Glen Ellyn and Naperville, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 at home.
Services were private.
Mr. Krupowicz was the father of Patricia (Edward) Galowitch, and Barry; grandfather of two; brother of Carol Humphries; and uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriella and Anthony.
Mr. Krupowicz was a veteran of the U.S. Military and worked as a real estate agent for Sprafka Coldwell Banker, River Forest.
Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations.
GEORGE JONES
George W. Jones, 77, of Lombard, died Saturday, Sept 4, 1999 in Naperville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, with a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Lombard, with Rev. Arno Dennerlein officiating. Interment was at Assumption Cemetery, Winfield.
Mr.
Jones was the father of Debra (Lance) Valentour, and Kathleen (Thomas) Lang; and grandfather of two. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille A.
Mr.
Jones was a resident of Lombard for 35 years. He retired after 32 years from the Chicago/Milwaukee Railroad where he was a switchman. He was an active member of Sacred Heart church.
Masses are preferred.
JOHN LINO
John C. Lino, 80, of Lombard, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999 at RML Specialty Hospital, Hinsdale.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 9, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Entombment was at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
Mr. Lino was the husband of Gloria C.; father of Patrick, Michael, and Terrence; grandfather of three; brother-in-law of Marie "Gerry" Christopher; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lino was a resident of Lombard since 1962. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, and had been employed at
Illinois bell as a District Manager, and retired in 1976.
RUTH MACEJAK
Ruth L. Macejak, nee Weber, 72, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 10, at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, with the Rev. Erla Boyle officiating. Interment was at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney.
Mrs. Macejak was the mother of Wayne (Grace), Dick, Joel, Karen, and Peter (Kara); grandmother of five; great grandmother of one; sister of Elaine Post, and James (Alice) Weber; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Dorothy) Weber.
Mrs. Macejak was a homemaker.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
JACK MARKEL
Jack A. Markel, 64, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Brust Villa Park funeral Home, 305 S. Princeton, Villa Park. Interment was private.
Mr. Markel was the husband of Haroldeana May "Bunny"; father of Delise Byle, Kim Boyer, Mitzi, Lynn Seaman, Allison, and Allen; grandfather of sic; and brother of Alice Herring.
Mr. Markel was a resident of Glen Ellyn for eight years and was formerly of Wheaton for 10 years. He had worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors in
Ohio for 20 years, and received a degree from the chicago National College of Naprapathy and had practiced for several years. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated.
LILLIAN PAETOW
Lillian E. Paetow, nee Zimirowski, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999 at
Foster G. McGaw Hospital, Maywood.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 11, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., followed by a Mass at St. Priscilla Church, Chicago. Entombment was at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
Mrs. Paetow was the mother of Patrick (Diane), Jerry, and Sharon (Kenneth) Paetow-Blakeslee of Lombard; grandmother of two, and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward.
Mrs. Paetow was a life-long resident of chicago. She was a homemaker and an avid bingo player.
ANN RYAN
Ann Ryan, nee Novakovich, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999 at Alexian Brothers Hospice, Elk Grove Village.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Sept. 13, at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, with a funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, Lombard. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
Mrs. Ryan was the mother of Joan (Paul) McBride, and Barbara (Terry) Pestel, of Lombard; grandmother of five; great-grandmother of one; sister of Helen Merrick, Sr. Mary Thomasine O.S.F., and Delphine (Vic) Villani She was preceded in death by her husband, William; brother-in-law, Robert Merrick; sister Bernardine (William) Muts; and brother, William (Harriet) Novakovich.
Mrs. Ryan was a clerk/secretary at Norman Engineering.
