Ruth Batzer
A memorial service for Ruth L. Batzer, 86, nee Last, will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at Lexington Square of Lombard.
Mrs. Batzer was the mother of Bruce (Lyn), Ron (Sue) and Craig (Beth); and grandmother of six. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy.
Mrs. Batzer was a longtime member of the Elmhurst Hospital Guild.
Donations to the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Remembrance Fund, Volunteer Office, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, 200 Berteau, Elmhurst, IL 60126, would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Illinois.
Mary Beck
Mary Eileen Beck, 85, of Lombard, formerly of Westchester, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Divine Infant Church, with the Rev. Peter Jarosz of Christ the King Church officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mrs. Beck was the mother of Maryanne (Jim) Gilmore, Kathleen (Eduardo) Fayad, Patti (Tom) Sauchelli, Tom (Margaret), Peggy (Tom) Ginnan, Bob (Gail) and William (Laurel); grandmother of 16; great-grandmother of five; and sister of James M. (Phyllis and the late Darlene) Foley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W.
Mrs. Beck was formerly of Westchester from 1947-69, and was a member of the Beacon Hill Rosary Club.

Julie Bonkowski
Julie Ann Bonkowski, 87, of Lombard, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Entombment is at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, N.Y.
Mrs. Bonkowski was the mother of Edward (Karen) and Frank (Jackie).
Mrs. Bonkowski was a resident of Beacon Hill for 12 years and was a member of Christ the King Church in Lombard.
Robert Brehm
Robert Thomas Brehm, 45, of Grayslake, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 in Grayslake.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 20, at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Grayslake.
Mr. Brehm was the son of John and Joanne Brehm; brother of Susan, John W. (Christy), Karin, Sandra, Marcia (Tim) and Richard; and uncle and good friend of many.
Mr. Brehm earned bachelor and master of science degrees from Southern Illinois University. He recently had been attending Northeastern Illinois University where he was pursuing an additional master's degree in special education. He worked at Waukegan High School Ninth Grade Center, where he was developing a vocational program for students with special needs.
Mr. Brehm was an active member of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, where he sang with the choir and participated in their community outreach programs. He was known for bringing out the best in others and being a positive influence on all who knew him, and for his generosity, kindness and concern for others.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 285 Washington St., Grayslake, IL 60030, would be appreciated.
Arrangements were made by Symonds-Lakes Funeral Home in Grayslake.
Miguel Carrillo
Miguel Carrillo, 80, of Lombard, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 17, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lombard. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Carrillo was the husband of Olga M.; father of Alonzo (Hilda), Arnold (Linda), Olga Nora Taylor of Lombard, Laura (Manuel) Rosiles and Marco (Erin); grandfather of 15; and great-grandfather of four.
Mr. Carrillo was a resident of Lombard for one and a half years, and was formerly of Des Plaines and Chicago. He had worked for Sloan Valve Co. in Franklin Park for 43 years.
Marion conway
Marion V. Conway, nee Schubert, 73, of Villa Park, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007 in Villa Park.
Visitation and funeral services will be held today, Jan. 24, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment is private.
Mrs. Conway was the mother of Susan (Eric Pyle) Conway, Cynthia (Scott) Wallen, Debra (Bill) Stover of Lombard, Robert Jr. (the late Erin) and Mark (Jodi); grandmother of 10; and sister of Lester Schubert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Sr.; brother, William; and sisters, Mildred Lavicka, Lillian Auer and Dorothy Hibbert.
Mrs. Conway had lived in Villa Park for 40 years.
Emil Czuba
Emil Czuba, 77, of Lombard, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, at St. Pius X Church in Lombard, with the Rev. Peter Jarosz officiating. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Czuba was the husband of Jadwiga; and father, grandfather and great-grandfather of many.
Mr. Czuba was born in Poland.
Frank Feret
Frank C. Feret, 62, of Lombard, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 in Lombard.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 20, with prayers from Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, to Mass at St. John the Apostle Church in Villa Park. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Mr. Feret was the husband of Edwina "Eddi," father of Rebecca Ann and Jeffrey, brother of Mary (Jack) Carbone and Evelyn (the late John) Lionello, and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Feret was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served during Vietnam.
