Lillian E. Landorf
Lillian E. Landorf, 89, of Naperville died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Alden of Waterford in Aurora. She was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Aurora.
A lifelong resident of Naperville, she was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Naperville Moose Lodge 1290 and the DuPage County Farm Bureau.
She is survived by two sons, George (wife Pat) of Montgomery and Clarence Jr. (wife Pat) of Munroe, Wis.; three daughters, Dorothy (husband Al) Paredones of Aurora, Janet (husband Alex) Bumbar of Aurora and Diane (husband Mike) Schoger of Winslow; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a brother, Nick Modaff of Naperville; two sisters, Caroline Gaworski of Aurora and Ceal Kuhn of Naperville and daughter-in-law, Roseann Landorf of Naperville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Landorf, in November 1977; a son, Frank P. Landorf in April 1977; a brother, Bernard Modaff; and a sister, Agnes Theis.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home in Naperville.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at SS Peter and Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Interment will be at SS Peter and Paul cemetery in Naperville.

Delmar R. Hosler
Delmar R. Hosler, 73, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Naperville, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at home. He was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Naperville.
In 1963, he served as Naperville's city clerk and in 1969 became Naperville's first city manager. He also served as city manager in Lake Zurich, Western Springs and Greenville.
He is survived by a son, Dane (wife Terry) Hosler of Richmond, Ky.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Landorf of Naperville and Alline Schwitz of Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Galen Hosler of Morton Grove and Dale Hosler of Naperville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Randy;" his parents, Arthur and Lily Hosler; and a sister, Phyllis Christensen.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Methodist Church of the Redeemer, McNaughton Road, Columbus, OH 43232,where memorial contributions may be directed.
Jean G. Armstrong
Jean G. Armstrong, 86, a resident of Naperville since 1954, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at Tabor Hills Health Care Facility in Naperville. She was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Villa Ridge.
She was employed for several years by the Packard Instrument Co. in the accounts payable department. She was a member of the Naperville Garden Club and Grace United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and bridge player and loved to garden.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Eskew of Naperville; two grandchildren, Amy and Tom Eskew; and a brother, Leon (wife Nancy) Gunn of Anna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Armstrong; her parents, Don and Nellie (Wilkinson) Gunn; four brothers, Robert, Ned and Jack Gunn and Don Gunn Jr.; and two sisters, Rosemary Walton and Betty Conner.
Visitation took place Thursday, Oct. 25, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home in Naperville.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Road, Naperville.
Interment will take place at Naperville cemetery.

Frances Ensworth Wilson
Frances Ensworth Wilson, 73, a Naperville resident since 1966, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at home. She was born May 8, 1928, in Oklahoma City.
She attended public schools in Haskell, Okla., and earned a bachelor's degree in music education in 1950 from Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a founder and member of the Naperville Heritage Society and a member of the Weed Ladies group from its inception. She had been a member of the Sisterhood of P.E.O. Chapter MA since 1989.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Duane E. Wilson of Naperville; a daughter, Amy (husband Ernest) Cavaness of Naperville; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Dean, Taylor and Kyle Opalk, all of Naperville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Dorothy (Ensworth) Pennington, and a sister, Mary (husband Eugene) Heuston.
Visitation took place Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren Ave., Naperville.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville.
Interment will follow at Naperville cemetery.

Sheldon Ostrou
Sheldon Ostrou, 77, a longtime resident of Orlando and Venice, Fla., died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at Lakewood Nursing Center in Plainfield. He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He grew up in Brooklyn. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and afterward graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He had a long and successful career in sales and sales management for several different companies. He had been a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Naperville and Lakewood Nursing Center in Plainfield.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (husband Craig) Bennis of Plainfield; a son, Steven (wife Monica) Ostrou of Oviedo, Fla.; four grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke, Todd and Sean Bennis; a brother, Robert Ostrou of Palm Harbor, Fla.; several nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice "Buddy" Ostrou, and his parents, Irving and Lena (Epstein) Ostrou.
A memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Temple Beth Shalom in Winter Park, Fla.
Interment will be private.

William Tullar
William Tullar, 69, of Batavia died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001. He was born March 18, 1932, in Joliet.
A LaSalle resident for many years, he graduated from St. Bede Academy and was named Athlete of the Year in 1950. He graduated in 1952 from LaSalle-Peru-Oglesby High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in Normal. He served in the armed forces for two years and earned a master's degree from ISU in 1957.
From 1957 to 1960, he was the basketball and baseball coach while teaching at Plainfield High School. He was physical director at the Aurora YMCA for seven years and executive director at Streator YMCA for seven years. While in Streator, he performed at Eagle Lane Community Theater and was a Northwestern Mutual underwriter for three years. He owned a dry-cleaning business in Naperville, Briarcliffe and Glen Ellyn, and he most recently owned and operated Clothes Care Cleaners at Pleasant Hill Shopping Center. He was president of Illinois State Fabricare Association and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the association. He was chairman of the annual golf outing as recently as this past summer. He also enjoyed cruising vacations with family and business associates. He was an avid Cubs fan and had a strong interest in all athletic events, especially golf.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two children, Susan (fiancee Rodney) and Michael (wife Susan); two grandchildren, Matthew and Kristin; a brother, Don (wife Fran); a sister-in-law, Janice (husband George) Pistona; his mother-in-law, Linda Morandi; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at St. John's Catholic Church, 0S233 Church St., Winfield.

Jerry Harrison Logan
Jerry Harrison Logan, 55, of Naperville died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at Foster McGaw Hospital in Maywood. He was born May 18, 1946, in Ruston, La.
He retired from Ameritech in 2000. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He had been a member of Lakeview Moravian Community Church in Madison, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Pederson) Logan of Naperville; his mother, Willow Dean; and four siblings, Mary Kay (husband Joseph) Theriot, Sandra Faye (husband Melvin) Huddleston, James Thomas Logan and Billy Joe Logan, all of Louisiana.

Winifred E. Boehm
Winifred E. (Ek) Boehm, 88, of Naperville died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at home. She was born July 20, 1913, in Appleton, Wis.
She had been a resident of Lake Forest for 35 years and also was a resident of Naples, Fla. For the past two years, she lived at Independence village in Naperville.
She is survived by a son, Karl Mortensen of Elk River, Minn.; two daughters, Vivian Mortensen of Des Plaines and Robin (husband Ed) Williams of Naperville; and two grandchildren, Arthur and Jared Williams.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Mortensen and Andrew Boehm.
Services and interment were private.

Carol A. Vasseur
Carol Anne (Gallant) Vasseur, 48, of Aurora died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at her home. She was born March 2, 1953, in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
She had been a resident of Aurora for the past three years and had worked as a certified public accountant for American Express Tax and Business Services in Naperville. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, an accounting organization, and enjoyed sewing and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Keith A. Vasseur; three children, Katherine, Andrew "A.J." James and Valerie Vasseur, all of Aurora; her mother, Harriett Gallant of Nova Scotia; two brothers, Joseph (wife Cheryl) and John (wife Carmel) Gallant of Nova Scotia; and a sister, Dorothy (husband Joe) King of Nova Scotia; her father- and mother-in-law, Dwight and Audrey Vasseur of Murray, Ky.; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth (wife Patricia) and Kerry Vasseur of Murray; and a sister-in-law, Kay (husband Steve) Elkins of Okinawa, Japan.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Gallant.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 24021 W. Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville.

Marija Petkoski
Marija Petkoski, 74, of Naperville died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born July 13, 1927, in Prilep, Macedonia.
She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Stevan (wife Paca), Milan (wife Lupka) and Peco (wife Sojna) Petkoski, all of Macedonia; two daughters, Violeta Petroff of Naperville and Nada (husband Mato) Taneski of Macedonia; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Stevan Stefanovski of Macedonia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Todor Petkoski, and her parents, George and Mitra Stefanovski.
Visitation and a funeral service took place Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Interment was at SS Peter and Paul cemetery in Naperville.
Lucille I. Wilkins
Lucille I. Wilkins, 88, of Lancaster, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at her home.
She graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio. She worked for the Boy Scouts of America and as a legal secretary in a private law office in Columbus. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, William W. (wife Karen) Wilkins of Pataskala, Ohio; two daughters, Patricia Anne Wilkins of Naperville and Suzanne Wilkins of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Jennifer, William Jr. and Andrew of Columbus; a brother, Albert Nerny of Columbus; a sister, Edna Scanlon of Columbus; a brother-in-law Bernard (wife Daisy) Wilkins; a sister-in-law, Helen Albertson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents, Frederick and Patricia Nerny; a brother, Frederick Nerny Jr.; and two sisters, Patricia Snider and Margaret McDonald.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 S. Columbus St., Lancaster. The rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Bernadette's Church in Lancaster with the Rev. Justin Reis officiating.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph's cemetery.
