Mary Frances Church
Mary Frances Church, 71, of Naperville died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at home. She was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Aurora.
She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church in Naperville. She had lived all of her life in the Naperville-Winfield area and had worked in the insurance department and as a cashier at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield for more than 25 years. She attended SS Peter and Paul School and North Central College. She graduated with a degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. She was active in hypnosis and had hypnotized more than 1,000 people. She was even able to walk on fire twice in her 60s.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; three daughters, Renee (husband John) Weller of Princeton, Texas, Valerie (Michael Ahasay) Church of Chicago and Michelle (husband Nicholas) Thomas of Oak Lawn; a son, Craig (wife Tanya) Church of Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Bernadette, Anna, Austin, Natalie, Kevin, Laura and Matthew; a sister, Gloria (husband Michael) Zagyva of Salem, Ore.; two nieces; two nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Ludmilla Brom.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at SS Peter and Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Interment will be at Assumption cemetery in Wheaton.

The Rev. Marvin Rickert
The Rev. Marvin E. Rickert, 97, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at Jennings Terrace in Aurora. Prior to May 2001, he had resided at the Devonshire Retirement Home in Lisle since 1995. He was born March 27, 1904, in Naperville.
He graduated from North Central College in Naperville in 1928. He attended Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville and later attended Yale Divinity, graduating in June 1931 with a bachelor of divinity degree. He ministered churches in New York, Ohio and Michigan and retired from the "Itinerant Appointment" system of Ministerial Service in June 1969 with membership in the Detroit Conference.
He is survived by a niece, Edith Rickert of Oswego; two nephews, Paul (wife Marion) Rickert of Hendersonville, N.C., and formerly of Oswego, and Charles (wife Carolyn) Rickert of Marietta, Ga.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leila Ruth Schmidt, who died giving birth in 1932; his second wife, Alice McKay, in 1994; his parents, John C. and Melinda (Hosler) Rickert; three brothers, John S., Charles Hobart and Robert Rickert; three sisters, Amelia, Abigail and Gladys; and a nephew, John Holbrook (wife Ann) Rickert of Colorado.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Community United Methodist Church, 20 N. Center St., Naperville.
Interment will be in Buffalo.
Memorials to the church would be appreciated.

Joseph Matthew Hamill
Joseph Matthew Hamill, infant son of Gerald and Mary (Germany) Hamill, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert and Thomas, both of Naperville; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Anna Germany of Chicago; his paternal grandfather, Owen J. Hamill of Albany, N.Y.; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert M. Germany, and his paternal grandmother, Eva W. Hamill.
A service and interment were private.

Albert S. Casiello
Albert S. Casiello, 81, a Naperville resident and a former 17-year Lisle resident, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. He was born Aug. 1, 1920, in Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a traffic manager with Amphenol Corp. for 44 years and attended St. Joan of Arc Church in Lisle.
He is survived by his wife, Michaeline (Morano) Casiello of Lisle; three sons, Albert M. (wife Maureen) Casiello of Tinley Park, John (wife Kathy) Casiello of Lisle and Bob (wife Jan) Casiello of Naperville; six grandchildren, Albert J., Jennifer, John W., John M., Michelle and Bobby; three sisters, Sue, Marie and Tina; and a brother, Donald Casiello.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Joan of Arc Church, Kingston and Front streets, Lisle.
Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven cemetery in Hillside.
Victor G. Susin
Victor G. Susin, 68, a resident of Greenville and former resident of Naperville, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born Oct. 24, 1932, in West Frankfort.
He was a proud Korean War veteran and U.S. Marine. He was former owner of a machinery business and moved to Naperville in 1965.
He is survived by four daughters, Nancy (husband Bob) Finigan of Chicago, Carl (husband Mark) Mestemacher of Edwardsville, Janet (husband Tony) Greiner of Brentwood, Mo., and Pamela (husband David) Maibaum of Medina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Mestemacher, Carmen and Lauren Greiner and Daniel Maibaum; a sister, Annabel Susin of Joliet; and a brother, John (wife Juanita) Susin of Wilmington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mitzi M. Susin, on July 5, 1996; and his parents, John and Julia Susin.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Naperville cemetery.

Georgenia L. White
Georgenia L. (Wilson) White, 85, a Naperville resident for 15 years, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Seatonville.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse for various hospitals in the area. She was a volunteer at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville and the St. Charles Emergency Services Disaster Agency.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (wife Lucille) Liles, Lugenia Thomas and Wayne L. (wife Germaine) White; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three children, Judith Ann Ruffin, Catherine Liles and Ernest Lee Liles.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the church.
Interment will be private.

Omar E. Bennett
Omar E. Bennett, 80, a Naperville resident since 1994 and formerly of Wheaton, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. He was born Nov. 7, 1920, in New London, Wis.
He grew up in Hammond, Ind., and was a graduate of Hammond High School. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in North Africa and Europe. After the war, he returned to Hammond and was employed by the Hammond News Agency and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. After moving to Wheaton, he owned and operated Tri-City News Agency, a newspaper distribution company. He also later owned and operated a storage company, The Extra Closet Inc. in Warrenville. He was a member and former president of the Midwest Independent Distributors Association. He was a former parishioner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheaton and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community in Naperville.
He is survived by his children, the Rev. Richard Bennett of Naperville, Dr. Thomas (wife Marta) Bennett of Palos Park, Debra (husband Doug) Lellbach of Naperville and Michael Bennett of Chicago; five grandchildren, Natalie, Mark and Greg Bennett of Palos Park and Nicholas and Christopher Holmes of Naperville; a brother, Irving (wife Carol) Bennett of Wheaton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Shaertl) Bennett; his parents, Elwin and Martha (Graupman) Bennett; and three siblings, Fay, Roy and Dorothy.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home and proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville. The Rev. Richard Bennett will officiate.

Mary Jayne Cronin
Mary Jayne (Nowlin) Cronin, 81, of Naperville died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale. She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Wilkenburg, Pa.
She had been a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Naperville since moving to the city in 1994. She was a former resident of Bradenton, Fla., and Chicago. While in Florida, she was a member of Queen of Martyr Catholic Church and a member of SOLVE. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by five daughters, Kathy (husband Al) Melone of Greer, S.C., Barbara (husband Dan) Moore of Mokena, Debbie (husband Bob) Race of Naperville, Pat (husband Phil) King of Naperville and Marybeth (husband Kevin) Bruton of Plainfield; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Bowman of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Cronin, in September 2001; her parents, John and Margaret (Flynn) Nowlin; a sister, Mildred Scotton; and a brother, Sam Nowlin.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

Margaret A. Koth
Margaret A. Koth, 90, a Naperville resident for many years before moving to Montello, Wis., in 1973, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at her son's home in Coloma, Wis. She was born July 5, 1911, in Merrill, Wis.
She married
Raymond W. Koth Aug. 31, 1929, in Illinois. While in Naperville, she was a member of St. John's Evangelical Ladies Aid.
She is survived by three children, Gerald Koth of Oklahoma City, Linda (husband Ralph) Goutcher of Westfield, Wis., and Richard Koth of Coloma; two daughters-in-law, Helen and Barbara Koth, both of Naperville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Irene Bockwoldt of Naperville; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; her parents, Gustav and Frieda (Knabe) Bockwoldt; a son, LeRoy Koth; a grandson, Timothy Goutcher; three sisters, Katie Mertz, Lily Schum and an infant sister, Hildegarde; and two brothers, Gustav and Peter Bockwoldt.
A funeral service took place Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Steinhaus-Leikness and Stahl Funeral Home in Montello. The Rev. Douglas Monroe officiated. Burial took place at Eastside cemetery in Montello.
David C. Wright Sr.

John B. Robinson Jr.
John "Jack" B. Robinson Jr., 88, of Naperville died Friday, Oct. 26., 2001, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born Aug. 5, 1913, in Newark, N.J.
He had lived in Naperville since 1960, when he moved from Minneapolis. He worked for Prudential Insurance Co. from 1930 to 1972 as a manager and cashier. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Summers) Robinson of Naperville; two sons, Jonathan (wife Susan) Robinson, M.D., of Elm Grove, Wis., and Brian (wife Donna) Robinson of Montgomery; a daughter, Deborah Robinson of Plainfield; a sister, Grace (husband Walter) Earl of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Robinson Sr. and Grace (McCandless) Robinson, and two sisters, Marie Marr and Florence Plath.
A memorial visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren Ave., Naperville.
