Wanda S. Jastrzembowski-Frankiewicz
Wanda S. (Karpinski) Jastrzembowski-Frankiewicz, 80, a Warrenville resident since 1991 and former resident of Chicago, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Chicago.
She was a resident of Chicago for most of her life. She was a mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of animals and her religious faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Bernice Lynn (husband Kevin) Najfus of Warrenville and Barbara Jastrzembowski-Parker of Seattle; five grandchildren, William (wife Sherry) Parker Jr. of Bement, Robert Alan (wife Karen) Parker of Corona, Calif., Renee Parker of California, and Stephen Najfus and Danielle Najfus, both of Warrenville; three great-grandchildren, Julianna, Jake and Justin Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard H. Jastrzembowski in 1963; and her parents, Felix and Bernice Karpinski.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A service will begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the funeral home and proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 0S233 Church St., Winfield.
Interment will be at St. Adalbert cemetery, Niles.

Katherine I. Hatfield
Katherine I. Hatfield, 76, a resident of Bradenton, Fla., since 1994 and a former resident of Naperville, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1926.
She was a homemaker, a member of Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville and a member of Rosedale Country Club.
She is survived by two sons, Gregory of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Michael of St. Peters, Mo.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service took place Monday, April 7, at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes in Bradenton.

Helen J. Gaynor
Helen Jean (Jacobs) Gaynor, 64, a resident of Naperville for five years and a former resident of Chicago, Oak Park and Riverside, died Monday, March 31, 2003, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born Sept. 11, 1938, in Chicago.
She grew up on Chicago's northwest side and graduated from Foreman High School. She earned her degree in education from Elmhurst College. She married
Stanley B. Gaynor on Jan. 11, 1958. She lived in Oak Park from 1969 to 1985 and Riverside from 1985 to 1998. She enjoyed crafts and, most of all, quilting. She owned and operated The Yarn Bazaar in Oak Park. She was a member of the Piecemakers of Elmhurst, a quilting club.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley B. Gaynor; two children, Mary (husband John) Laws and John (wife Mary Mulligan) Gaynor; two grandchildren, Katie and Lauren Laws; and her mother, Lucile Jacobs, all of Naperville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Jacobs.
A service and interment were private.

Barbara Ann Hults
Barbara Ann Hults, 64, of Southern Pines, N.C., and a former resident of Naperville, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, N.C. She was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Westfield, Mass.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed singing in the choir at Community Congregational Church. She was a former member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Naperville and was very active in the Girl Scouts.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Edward E. Hults of Southern Pines; a daughter, Cheryl Coffman of Columbia, Md.; a son, Richard C. Hults of Monroe, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Courtney and Justin Hults.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Barbara (Needham) Searle Jr.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Community Congregational Church in Southern Pines, officiated by Dr. Kevin Bowling.

Nancy J. (Freeman) Feldman, 60, a resident of Woodridge for 10 years and of Bolingbrook for one year, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Hinsdale.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Feldman; two daughters, Ruth Potts and Marge Humphrey, both of Woodridge; three sons, Tim (wife Cheryl) Feldman of Bolingbrook, Fred Feldman of Naperville and Joe (wife Gina) Feldman of Woodridge; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation took place Wednesday, March 26, at Toon Funeral Home in Westmont.
A service and interment were private.
Mary L. (Luetke) Sykora
Mary L. (Luetke) Sykora, 59, a resident of Naperville since 1986, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Milwaukee.
She grew up in Ripon, Wis., and was a graduate of Ripon College with a degree in education. She later received a master's in education from North Central College in Naperville. She taught in Berwyn before coming to Naperville, where she taught in Indian Prairie School District 204. She was active in the campaign for children's literacy. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville.
She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Sykora of Naperville; two daughters, Mary Emily (husband Robert) Binder of Naperville and Lauren (husband James) Sykora Trankina of Chicago; her father- and mother-in-law, Dr. Lawrence J. and Mary D. (Daubek) Sykora of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Margaret Luetke.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., Naperville.

Mary-Bernice J. Hager
Mary-Bernice J. Hager, 63, of Romeoville died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born June 28, 1939, in New York City.
She had been a resident of the area since 1976. She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, with a bachelor's in education. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Bolingbrook as a rural letter carrier and postal clerk from 1978 until retiring in 1986. In 1990, she began working for the Metropolitan newspaper in Bolingbrook and was with the newspaper for 12 years in the layout and graphic design department. She was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Bolingbrook, where she sang in the choir and served as a Stephen minister.
She is survived by three sons, Chris (wife Stephanie) Hager of Ellerslie, Ga., Eric (wife Lisa) Hager of Chandler, Ariz., and Brett (wife Ginger) Hager of Phoenix; and four grandchildren, David, Sarah, Desiree and Ian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Bernice (Byer) Johnson.
A memorial service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Friendship United Methodist Church, 305 E. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook.
Interment will be private.

Lucille A. Brendle, 83, of Naperville died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Westmont Convalescent Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Chicago.
She was a secretary.
She is survived by two sons, David J. Brendle and Stephen P. Brendle; a daughter-in-law, Jan Brendle; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Brendle, and her parents, Frank and Ella Werner.
A service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Route 83 and Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace. The Rev. Bill Schroder will officiate.

Aaron M. Hansen, 29, a one-year resident of Naperville and formerly of Carol Stream, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at his home. He was born April 14, 1974, in Winfield.
He grew up in the Carol Stream-Wheaton area and attended Wheaton Central High School. He was most recently employed by AT&T Wireless, Chicago, as a salesperson. He enjoyed participating in various charitable runs and walks in the area and was very proud of finishing the 2001 Chicago Marathon. He also was an avid reader and art aficionado.
He is survived by his life partner, David L. Shallow of Naperville; his mother, Susan (Maas) Bruck of Lake City, Fla.; his father, Stephen J. Hansen of Glendale Heights; three stepchildren, Barbara, Max and Griffin Shallow; a brother, Christopher Hansen of Newark; a sister, Nikki (husband Grange) Coffin of Germany; a maternal grandmother, Anna May Maas of Lake City, Fla.; and three nieces, Amber and Devyn Hansen and Autumn Coffin.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Theodore Maas.

Jack John Wenta, infant son of Gerald and Jill Wenta of Tequesta, Fla., was born and passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, his twin, Adam, and Edwin, both of Tequesta; his maternal grandparents, John and Lois Munn of Aurora; his paternal grandparents, Dianne Wenta of Stuart, Fla., and Gerald Druktenis of Green Lake, Wis.; paternal great-grandparents, Edwin and Charlotte Wenta of Chicago; and his maternal great-grandmother, Marilyn Chadwick of Naperville.
