Marilyn A. Zimmerman
Marilyn A. Zimmerman, 63, of Naperville passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Edward J. Hines Veterans Affairs Hospital in Hines. She was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Murray, Wis., and was the daughter of Carter and Laura Sorensen Novander.
She had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1963. She was a member of the Disabled Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie (husband Lynn) Johnson of Bruce, Wis., and Debra Novander of Portage, Wis.; and two brothers, Alan Novander of Portage and Richard Novander of Oxford, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; two sisters; and a brother.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
Burial will be in Mount Emblem cemetery in Elmhurst.

William J. Weigel, M.D.

Judith A. Tylutki
Judith A. (West) Tylutki, 59, a resident of Lisle for 12 years and former resident of Mulliken, Lansing and Dearborn Heights, Mich., died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Lake Odessa, Mich.
She was the only child to the union of Thelma West (Roberts) and Rolla A. "Pat" West. She was a 1961 graduate of Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Mich., and was a 20-year employee of the state of Michigan Departments of Labor and Management and Budget. During her life, she served as a foster mother to more than 21 children.
She is survived by her dearly beloved husband, Joseph J. Tylutki, whom she married
May 18, 1974; her five loving children, Joseph P. (Ericka Pollack) of Naperville, Jennifer, Kimberly, Michael and Kaitlyn Tylutki of Lisle; her mother, Thelma West of Mulliken, Mich.; a large extended family; and her dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, from the funeral home and proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1450 Green Trails Drive, Naperville.
Interment will be at Meadowbrook cemetery in Mulliken, Mich.

Thomas E. 'Tommy' Bernar
Thomas E. "Tommy" Bernar, 28, of Champaign and formerly of Naperville died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Swann Special Care Center in Champaign. He was born June 25, 1975, in Oak Lawn.
He is survived by his mother, Madelene Bernar of Naperville; his father, Thomas A. (wife Sherry) Bernar of Naperville; his maternal grandfather, Edward Galezewski of Elk Grove Village; his maternal grandmother, Anna Galezewski of Downers Grove; his paternal grandmother, Jessie Trimarco of Elgin; five uncles, Angelo (wife April) Bernar, Gerry (wife Marcine) Bernar, Dr. William (wife Pauline) Trimarco, Larry (wife Beryl) Galezewski and Dr. James (wife Sharman) Galezewski; an aunt, Marion (husband Chuck) Riedle; and numerous cousins and great-cousins.
He was preceded in death by his foster paternal grandfather, Christopher Trimarco, and his paternal grandfather, Altilio Bernar.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.
Interment will take place at St. Michael cemetery in Wheaton.

Phyllis J. Trierweiler
Phyllis Jean (Lough) Trierweiler, 74, of Princeton and a Naperville resident from 1972 to 2002, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at her daughter Judith's home. She was born April 19, 1929, in White Pigeon, Mich.
Mrs. Trierweiler grew up in Michigan. She was married
to her husband, Donald, for 27 years until his death in 1975. They lived in Wisconsin before moving to Naperville in 1972. After her husband's death, she volunteered at Little Friends Inc. in Naperville, and later became a special-education teacher at Little Friend's Krejci Academy. She retired in 2001 and later moved to Princeton. She enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her loving companion in life, Jeff Grimmelbein of Princeton; three children, Gayle Schweinert, Judith (husband Thomas) Theobald and Cheri (husband Brian) Blockinger, all of Naperville; three grandchildren, Thomas (wife Heidi) Theobald of East Greenwich, R.I., and Molly and Adam Theobald of Naperville; and her dog, Marley.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, John Elvin and Marie Lough.
A memorial visitation will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Interment will be private.

Anna E. Riffey
Anna Elizabeth Riffey, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, in Pratt, Kan. She was born Feb. 14, 1923, in Anthony, Kan.
She was a "Rosie the Riveter" at Boeing Aircraft during World War II and made her home in Pratt after the war. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and others. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pratt.
She is survived by a daughter, Alma (husband Greg) Jones of Aurora; a niece, Anna (husband Loren) Gugler of Abilene, Kan.; and two great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Riffey; her parents; and her twin sister, Alma Gibson.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Larrison Funeral Home in Pratt.

Robert B. Goodsell
Robert B. Goodsell, 91, a Naperville resident since 2002 and formerly of Downers Grove, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at home. He was born July 20, 1912, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
A former resident of Westchester and Dubuque, Iowa, he was a 32-year resident of Downers Grove before moving to Naperville's Independence Village in 2002. He married
his wife, Louisa, on Aug. 20, 1930, in Racine, Wis. He was retired from Enthone-Omi Co. in Bridgeview.
He is survived by two sons, John (wife Madonna) Goodsell of Naperville, and Robert (wife Barbara) Goodsell of Glenview; seven grandchildren, Barbara (husband Michael) Bliefernich of Wheeling, David (wife Janice) Goodsell of Denver, Margaret (husband Jay) Phillips of Spring, Texas, Mary (husband James) Muha of Plainfield, Elizabeth (husband Joseph) Struett of Naperville, Madonna Goodsell of Lisle, and Robert (wife Lynn) Goodsell of Downers Grove; 11 great-grandchildren, Jamie Goodsell of Austin, Texas, Shaine and Mackenzie Muha of Plainfield, Elizabeth, Katie, Bryan and Bradley Phillips of Spring, and Sarah, Joseph, Jacob and Nicholas Struett of Naperville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louisa M. Goodsell.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in the future at St. Mary of Gostyn Catholic Church in Downers Grove.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mount Calvary cemetery in Dubuque.

Maryan (Milbourne) Sego
Maryan (Milbourne) Sego, 62, of Naperville died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio.
She had dedicated more than 26 years of her life to the help of those with special needs through her work at The Bridge High School-Little Friends, Downers Grove; the Association for Individual Development, Aurora; Indian Prairie School District 204, Aurora; and the Community Convalescent Center, Naperville.
She will be remembered as a truly loving and devoted mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was loved and admired by all whose lives she touched and will be missed very much.
She is survived by her husband, Jerold J. Sego; two sons, Gregory Sego of Naperville and Christopher (wife Kristen) Sego of Aurora; two grandchildren, Ryan and Kelly Sego; a sister, Valerie Beaumont of Sarasota, Fla.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. and Mildred Mae Milbourne.

Sue V. Maze, 85, of St. Charles died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Chicago. She was born July 4, 1918, in Chicago, the daughter of George and Selemonia (Kartanas) Janulis.
She was employed for 32 years with Sunbeam Corp., retiring May 30, 1980.
She is survived by a son, Robert (wife Sharon) Maze of Pleasanton, Calif.; a daughter, Cynthia Folkers of Chicago and formerly of Naperville; six grandchildren, Deborah (husband Jason) Lenz, David (wife Amy) Maze, Jennifer Maze, Kimberly Folkers, Kenneth (wife Sarah) Folkers and Steven (wife Kristy) Folkers; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Lenz, Steven Folkers, Mackenzie Lenz and McKenna Folkers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Maze on March 9, 1999; a brother, Charles Janulis; a sister, Vera Dyszel; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Folkers.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles, where a liturgical wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at St. Patrick Crane Road Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles. The Rev. Bonaventure I. Okora will the celebrant.
Interment will take place at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines.
Sylvester Lewandowski
Sylvester "Grandpa Mousey" Lewandowski, 80, a resident of Naperville for three years and formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Chicago.
He grew up on Chicago's South Side. He was a Chicago Democrat who loved politics and horse racing. He retired from Commerce Clearing in Chicago. He was a resident of Martin Avenue Apartments in Naperville. He had a great love for his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna (husband Richard) Yule of Naperville; two grandchildren, Jill Houk of Chicago and Ericka (husband Jason) Pomatto of Elmhurst; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Houk and Nicholas Pomatto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Nepomocena Lewandowski; one brother; and four sisters.
Visitation will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville.

Frieda H. (nee Heinrich) Janken, 88, of Naperville died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at ManorCare Health Services in Naperville. She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Bellwood.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice (Howard Cohen) Janken of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Bruce Janken of Naperville; a granddaughter, Amanda Cohen; a brother, Karl Heinrich of Lisle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Janken; her parents, Reinhold and Susanna Heinrich; and 10 brothers and sisters.
