Florence Augustyn
Florence Augustyn, 85, of Naperville and formerly of La Grange Park and Seminole, Fla., died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Chicago.
She had been a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Women's Club.
She is survived by a son, Theodore "Ted" Augustyn; a daughter, Mary (husband Robert) Gillen of Naperville; a sister, Lucille Koney; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Sobieraj.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. Augustyn; a brother, Joseph Sobieraj; and her parents, Joseph and Mary Sobieraj.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield.
A funeral service will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at the funeral home and proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Louise de Marillac Church in La Grange Park.
Interment will be at Queen of Heaven cemetery in Hillside.

Terrence M. "Terry" Hooten
Terrence M. "Terry" Hooten, 61, of St. Charles died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at his home. He was born April 21, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., to Warren and Mary (Tomsit) Hooten.
He graduated in 1964 from St. Procopius College in Lisle, now known as Benedictine University, with a degree in mathematics. In 1971, he earned a master's degree in education from DePaul University in Chicago. He started his teaching career in Naperville in 1964 and left to teach at St. Victor's High School in Arlington Heights from 1966 to 1969 before returning to Naperville Central High School, where he remained for 30 years. He also taught math part time at Benedictine University for 25 years.
An active member of St. Patrick's Church for 32 years, he used his teaching skills in the CCD program, served as a Eucharistic minister and was active in spreading devotion to the Blessed Mother.
During his journey with cancer, he brightened the lives around him with his positive attitude and his constant faith in God's plan for him. He also shared his art talent with others.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Carol; six children, Susan (husband Troy) Heppner, Brian Hooten, Diane Hooten, Karen (husband Andre) Jendresen, Linda Hooten and Kevin Hooten; four grandchildren, Megan, Thomas, Michael and John; his parents, Warren and Mary Hooten of North Carolina; a brother, James (wife Ann) Hooten of Colorado; two sisters, Mary Jo Mason of New Mexico and Barb (husband Tom) Withem of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, at St. Patrick Crane Road Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, with Monsignor Joseph B. Linster as celebrant.
Burial will be at Resurrection cemetery in Geneva.

Donna M. Waldron
Donna Mae (Hovenden) Waldron, 70, a Naperville resident since 1968, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, a few days after a birthday celebration with her friends and family. She was born July 18, 1933, in Evanston.
She grew up in Park Ridge and attended Maine High School. Later she attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. She earned a master's degree at North Central College in Naperville and taught kindergarten at Long Beach School in Oswego from 1970 to 1990. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, stock clubs and gaming.
She is survived by two sons, Jesse Thomas (wife Carol) Waldron of Crystal Lake and John Henry Hovenden (wife Linda) Waldron of Johnston, Iowa; three daughters, Jean Pauline Churan of Plato Center, Lou Ellen (husband Gary) Gramm of Naperville and Dixie Lee (husband Michael) Yeck of Racine, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Nina, Cole, Amanda, Paul, Rae, Glennis, Carolyne, Sarah and Asa; and a sister, Barbara Jean (husband Kenneth) Greiss of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert C. and Juanita Hovenden.
Visitation will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St. in Naperville.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, for a graveside service at the Town of Maine cemetery in Park Ridge. The Rev. Richard Johnson will officiate.

Marion L. Uhrich, 90, of Naperville died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville. She was born April 9, 1913, in Buffalo, N.Y.
She is survived by two children, David L. (wife Delia) Uhrich of Kent, Ohio, and Dianne J. (husband Jay) Pollitt of Naperville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Kane; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey C. "Lee" Uhrich; a great-grandchild, Frances Mignery; her parents, August A. and Catherine C. (Becker) Kaiser; two brothers, August J. (wife Marie) Kaiser and John Kaiser; and a brother-in-law, John Kane.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church in Buffalo. Interment will be at the United German and French R.C. cemetery Association in Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Reger Funeral Home, 3135 Main St., Buffalo.

Gene O. "Mac" McClenahan, 80, of Plainfield and a former resident of Naperville, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at Manor Care Health Center in Naperville. He was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Sigourney, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; three children, Chuck (wife Deb) McClenahan of Winnetka, Martha (husband Jim) Day of Woodridge, and Ellen (husband Jimi) Viereck of Springhill, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Rose Irene Hauge
Rose Irene Hauge, 80, of Aurora and former resident of Burbank, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at ManorCare Nursing Center in Naperville. She was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Nemaha, Iowa.
She enjoyed an evening of dancing with her husband.
She is survived by a son, John (wife Claudia) Hauge of Naperville; a daughter, Maria Hauge of Westmont; four grandchildren, Mark, Craig, April and Ryan Hauge; three sisters, Alice (husband Harry) Martin of Tucson, Ariz., Agnes O'Meara of Tucson and Ann Wells of Pocahontas, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and her parents, Arthur and Mary O'Meara.

George C. McCloud
George C. McCloud, 83, of Elburn passed away Sunday morning, July 13, 2003, surrounded by his loving family, at Provena Pine View Care Center in St. Charles. He was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Cass, W.Va., the son of Page Cleveland and Bammie Edna (Gragg) McCloud. He grew up in Cass until the tragic death of his father on Jan. 28, 1923, after which the family moved to make their home at Mooseheart near Aurora, where they lived for a time before moving to Batavia and later to rural Elburn.
He served in the Army from November 1941 to June 1945 in the North African and European theaters. After the war, he returned to Elburn and on June 7, 1946, he was united in marriage to Ruth E. McMurray. He earned his bachelor's degree in English from Aurora College and his master's degree in administration from Northern Illinois University. He taught at Batavia, Downers Grove North, as principal at Leaf River Elementary, Leaf River, Ill., and in Cicero-Berwyn at J. Sterling Morton High School until his retirement in 1980.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the B.P.O.E., a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sebring, Fla., and a charter member of Elburn American Legion Post 630 and Community Congregational Church in Elburn.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three sons, Page (wife Carol) McCloud of Elburn, Alan (wife Nancy) McCloud of Batavia and James (wife Jane) McCloud of Naperville; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ferne Conley of Geneva; a sister-in-law, Georgia McCloud of Paradise, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children in infancy, George M. and Cathleen R.; a brother, Clarence McCloud; and two sisters, Evelyn Franzen and Hazel Moncrief.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St. in Elburn.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Community Congregational Church, at Route 47 and Shannon Street in Elburn. The Rev. Katherine A. Lawes will officiate.

Frederick W. "Fred" Foushee
Frederick W. "Fred" Foushee, 83, a resident of Glen Ellyn since 1970, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. He was born June 10, 1920, in Sanford, N.C.
He grew up in Sanford and Greensboro, N.C. He was a graduate of Elon College in Elon, N.C., with a degree in chemistry and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed for many years with Standard Oil, formerly Amoco and currently British Petroleum, in Hammond, Ind., and later in Naperville. He worked as a chemist and later in research and development. He was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn. An avid gardener, he headed Amoco's garden club for many years. He also enjoyed bridge.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Frederick W. (wife Pamela) Foushee Jr. of Mission Viejo, Calif.; four grandchildren, Russell (wife Julia) Foushee of Brea, Calif., Amy (husband Ken) Shuberg of Camirillo, Calif., Matthew Foushee of San Clemente, Calif., and Ashlee Foushee of Huntington Beach, Calif.; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel "B" Foushee of Greensboro; a sister, Carolyn (husband) William Parrish of Sanford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Verna Foushee.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 680 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Pastor Douglas A. Learned will officiate.
Interment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Greensboro.

Marjorie M. Morrison
Marjorie M. Morrison, 85, of Montgomery died Sunday, July 27, 2003, in Downers Grove. She was born March 15, 1918, in Lincoln, Neb., the daughter of Edward B. Foster Sr. and Nona C. (Dalton) Foster.
She was a bookkeeper for the Highland Park School District and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego.
She is survived by her husband, John L. Morrison; two daughters, MaryRuth Roberts and Patricia Connolly; a son, John E. Morrison; six grandchildren, Jennifer (husband William) Maloney, Heidi Damon, Michael and Eric Morrison, and Joseph and Katie Connolly; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Austin Quigley; two sisters, Ruthann Foster and Rita Bourdages; and a brother, Edward B. Foster.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Rosemary Mullen and Janet Nebel.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, at McKeown-Dunn Funeral Home, 210 S. Madison St., Oswego.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, with the Rev. Bob Collogan officiating.

Charles 'Chuck' A. Weeks
Charles "Chuck" A. Weeks, 87, of Rochelle died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Rochelle, the son of Jacob M. and Samanth (Adams) Weeks.
He married
Helen Mae Henry on June 9, 1939, in Rochelle. Chuck was the district purchasing agent for Del Monte Corp. in Rochelle before his retirement in 1979. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of First Presbyterian Church and Horicon Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Weeks of Rochelle; three sons, Dr. Charles Thomas (wife Ellyn) Weeks of Pendleton, Ore., John Leon (wife Petrene) Weeks of Luzerne, Mich., and Dr. James Page (wife Nancy) Weeks of Naperville; seven grandchildren, Melissa Jeter, Christopher Weeks, Jennifer Wilkes, Jason Weeks, Michael Weeks, Lara Gatermann, Erin Woodward; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Page; and an infant sister, Joyce.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle, with the Rev. John Hamilton officiating.
Visitation will take place one hour before the funeral service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
Interment will follow at Lawnridge cemetery in Rochelle.
