Ralph L. Foulk, Jr.

ELMWOOD - Ralph L. Foulk, Jr., 68, of Elmwood, passed away at 2:30 PM, Sunday, August 26, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 29 at Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield.
Pastor Jennifer Cedar will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, the Williamsfield Fire Department or the BYE Ambulance Service in Elmwood.
He was born March 27, 1944 in Galesburg, the son of Ralph L. and Faye (Ford) Foulk, Sr.
He married Norma S. Willson on August 9, 1963 in Williamsfield.
She survives, as well as a daughter, Trisha Foulk of Elmwood, and his parents, Ralph and Faye of Galesburg.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Danny Lee “Dan” Foulk.
Ralph was a 1962 graduate of Williamsfield High School.
He had farmed with his father and brother in the Elmore, and Williamsfield area, since 1955 and had retired to Elmwood, in 2009.
Anna R. Derr

KEWANEE - Anna R. Derr, 87, of Kewanee, passed away at 3:25 AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Kewanee Care Home.
Cremation has been accorded and private inurnment will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 9, 1927 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Robert and Hattie (Marshall) Willey.
She married Robert D. Derr on October 31, 1948 in Kewanee, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Derr and John Derr, Sr., both of Kewanee, a daughter, Bobbie (Keith) Nebinger of Kewanee, her sister, Oneata (Stephen) Stringer of Kewanee, ten grandchildren, Larry, Nathan, Tara, Robbie, Terry, Daniel, Tony, Thomas, Matt and John, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Becky Heberer and Sherry Lynn, a son, Terry Mack, a grandson, David, a sister, Margaret, two brothers, Charles and James and two brothers in infancy, Robert and Daniel.
Anna had worked as a private duty nurse and as a waitress.
She was a member of the VFW Post 8078 Ladies Auxiliary in Kewanee, and she enjoyed reading westerns.
Hubert S. Larson
(November 28, 1918 - July 18, 2013)
GALVA - Hubert S. Larson, 94, of Galva, formerly of Altona, died at 9:25 PM, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Hillcrest Home in Geneseo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 23 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altona.
Rev. Tim Anderson will officiate.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Altona.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Galva Ministerial Association, Galva Lions Club or to the Hillcrest Home in Geneseo.

He was born November 28, 1918 in Altona, the son of Leonard and Effie (Johnson) Larson.
He married Catherine J. Crum on February 18, 1951 in Altona.
She survives, as do a son, Jim (Deb) Larson of Altona, three grandchildren, Timothy P. Larson of Palo Alto, CA, Shawn A. Larson of Clark, MO, and Matthew C. Farrell of Altona, two great-grandchildren, Simon A. Larson of Clark, MO, and Michael C. Farrell of Altona, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leone Wahlin.
Hubert was a lifelong Henry County, resident, attending grade schools in Kelly, Nekoma and Kufus and graduating from Walnut Grove Township High School in 1936.
In his early years, he had been a Boy Scout.
He was a grain and livestock farmer and owned and operated Maple Lawn Farm.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altona, where he had been a board member for several years, the National Cattleman’s Association, Altona Lions Club, Galva Lions Club, Henry County Farm Bureau, NRA, a member of the Altona CO-OP Board, had been a member of the Avenue Company Threshing and Phone Company and a longtime member of Little John Conservation Club.
He enjoyed his family, duck hunting and fishing.
Robert D. "Bob" Kirkhove

KEWANEE - Robert D. “Bob” Kirkhove, 87, of Kewanee, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Kewanee Care Home.
Cremation has been accorded and no services are planned.

He was born December 11, 1926 in Kewanee, the son of Philip and Eva May (Ross) Kirkhove.
He married Dixie Lee Williams on December 9, 1955 in Kewanee.
She preceded him in death on October 15, 1989.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by two daughters, Jodie Kirkhove of Kewanee, and Reggie Fortune of Yorktown, IL, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother, Phil Kirkhove, Jr. of Silvis, IL.
Bob served his country in the Navy during WWII.
He worked as a production supervisor at Kewanee Manufacturing, retiring in 1982.
He had also worked at Kewanee Boiler for 13 years.
He was a member of the Flemish-American Club and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.
Jimmie Dean Johnson

ALTONA – Jimmie Dean Johnson, 74, of Altona, passed away at 4:37 AM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Kewanee Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Rio Baptist Cemetery in Rio Township, Knox County, IL.
Memorials may be directed to Little John Conservation Club.
He was born May 20, 1938 in Galva, the son of Harold Dean and Kathryn Judith (Talberg) Johnson.
He married Martha Susan “Marty” McDowell on October 2, 1958 in Corinth, MS.
She survives, as do a daughter, Lynn Marie (Tim) Fritz of Lynn Center, IL, a sister, Sandra (Jim) Kursock of Kewanee, five grandchildren, Travis and Kacey Fritz, both of Lynn Center, Nick (Jennifer) Johnson of Galva, Alex Johnson of Kewanee, and Nolen Johnson of Galva, a great-grandchild, Wyatt Johnson of Galva, two nephews, Scott (Kelli) Kursock of Kewanee, and Greg (Stephenie) Kursock of Pekin, IL, and an aunt, Doris Johnson of Galva.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Allen Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Bethney.
Jimmie had farmed in the Knox and Henry County area.
He was a member of Little John Conservation Club and the Knox County Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed farming, fishing, camping and playing cards, especially, euchre and 500.
He especially enjoyed talking with family and friends and his coffee time at the Filling Station in Bishop Hill.
